We book site #836. We love the privacy & shade however we noticed some of the trees were removed to make room for a parking lot & a road. I understand the beach is popular but the road concerned us & we learned that anyone at anytime could drive down that road. We were reluctant to set up completely & were concerned about vandalizing or theft of our gear. Wish you would have rethought the road!

We truly enjoyed our stay at your location and will definitely come back. The beach is beautiful! The restaurant on the beach had the best seafood and were very accommodating by allowing out little dog to sit under the table. They even brought water for him to drink. Great place. Did I mention the sunsets. �ϋ�

The only complaint I have is the playgrounds for the kids are well below the competition.

We had a great stay. We were there to get away and relax which we did. We enjiyed the careoki at the restaurant. We will be bace very soon!

Bathrooms by pool very dirty and smelled like urine. Restaurant was closed. Called front desk 4 times and never got a response. Sites are too close to neighbors. Staff at pool were great and pool furniture fantastic. Not much information given at check-in.

I am not sure that I would recommend staying at KOA Cape Charles. There was not a lot to do other than go to pool, or swim in Bay. Not many activities for teenage kids ( No basketball courts, no volleyball nets, etc.) Activities were not promoted or handed to us or our other family who checked in for same stay - when we went up to ask for the activities there were not many listed.

Loved the dog beach and the activities. Why we didn't rate 5 stars was because the k9 drinking fountain was not working and the prices at Jackspot were ridiculously high. Also wish the paddleboard rental was easier to know how to rent as no info was given to us about that. The pool cabanas are amazing and overall we did like our stay.

I reallt enjoyed my stay i got be on the beach have food and Adult beverages the pool . 100% will return The downside i developed Acute Gout in my foot and i am at home for afew days. Truly you have a great place for families to enjoy next trip i will stay a week.

Location, amenities and staff are all great. Had a wonderful time even though we were hit by tropical storm Elsa. Definitely worth a return trip.

Sites are various in size. We stayed in 2 Skipjack sites and they were adequate for our Class A and a 30’ TT. Sites are very pricey and grass. No paved sites. Seems to be well managed and plenty of golf carts available for rent. We made use of the on-site restaurant several times and ordered pickup. You can rent kayaks and paddle boards but there is limited availability.

The bathhouses were clean. The staff was not overly friendly. It felt as the guests were a bother when asking questions. There were no kids activities set from Mon-Wed. We opted to leave early as Elsa was due to hit with a tornado watch. I didn’t expect a refund on my site but asked for a refund on the golf cart. They refused to refund me although there was a wait list to get a cart.

We love camping at Cape Charles/ Chesapeake Bay KOA for their amenities. The Jackspot is a great place to go for food and drinks with a spectacular view. The wait staff are all very friendly and give excellent service. The only disappointment this time, was that the pool was not taken care of what so ever. Pool deck had trash and the pool itself was full of sand and leaves.

We had a wonderful stay! Right from the start, getting escorted out to our site and them willingly pulling over to help back us in was amazing, even in the pouring rain! We loved the dog beach , our pups had a blast! All the campers were respectful. The restaurant on the beach is a great addition and we loved taking drinks to go to the beach. The campground was very clean and the spots were great!

Typically we really enjoy Chesapeake KOA. However, this trip the pool was extremely dirty with sand, dirt and leaves. The pool deck was full of sand and there was trash laying around. We picked up several items ourselves. While we know you can't control the behavior of all campers, I think blowing the deck and vacuuming the pool should be an early morning activity (we were there early).

I was not please with the price Even if you are a resort your services are not worth $150.00 They take your money and they are done with you. No information on TV channels, where to get rid of Trish. The showers are another story. The rooms were so hot you needed another shower when you were done;

No one came to fix our pedestal after a few separate requests, no real services offered midweek. No one answered the phone, so I had to trudge down to get a response about my electricity out. Couldn't get anyone to even scoop some ice cream until Friday, we were there Monday. No toilet paper or paper towels in stock through Saturday when we left. 20 lb ice were half melted. Pools were very cloudy.

Sites were way too close together. Very dangerous to allow camp fires when Rv’s are that close together. Need to monitor the kids driving the golf carts. The kids should not be driving the golf carts. They do not follow the rules of the road. Would have been nice to have been given more info ( I.e. rules, hours of restaurant operations) when we checked in.

The check in office was so confused at all times there was no internet (could not watch TV) they don't answer the phone and so stuff was very rude the campground it self is nice

We lobe the area and habe stayed here before. We found that it has gone downhill however. Sites are not as clean and they advertise thay happy jacks is open daily and it is not. Even over 4th of July time. The older lady at the checkout said it is only open here and there, depending on of they are busy. I guess then if there is 1 more person is in the store they will not open. Not as advsrtised!

Wish you had an adult pool w/ a swim up bar.. We had a nice time, enjoyed the fireworks, live band and the movie on the beach.

The staff are miserable. Not helpful. When you check in they don’t take their time to explain anything to you. Every time I visited the office or the ice cream place which was never open by the way for ice cream, they’re just very unfriendly and very miserable.

The only complaint I had is that they allowed the people directly behind us to blast music with vulgar lyrics until all hours. They didn’t stop one night until after 12:30 am. I don’t mind loud music but this was excessive and contained the F word and MF word all the time. We had small children with us and it was loud enough that we couldn’t hear anything we wanted to listen to.

We absolutely loved our stay! This KOA was well maintained, clean, and oh so close to the beach! We loved the atmosphere, the location, and the Miami Vices at the Jackspot were a crowd favorite. The staff was awesome--I even had a question they ran down the answer and came back later to follow up. We will certainly be back!

Very much enjoyed our stay, very friendly staff who were very accommodating. We were shown to our site and the guide helped us with directing me to back in our trailer. Beach is excellent though a little crowded. We were there over 4th of July holiday so the crowding was no big surprise. Plenty to do locally if you're in to the outdoors. Very much recommended. Will be visiting again.

Short one night stay. Everyone very nice and helpful. Only constructive comment is, it is impossible to get through when calling to ask a question. Twice have left a call back number and call is not returned. Just a thought to have an email contact if they cannot answer calls.

Absolutely loved it. The staff was amazing, from immediately pulling in and being escorted by a host who helped back me in was fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

Nice place but not he ground had spurs that got into our dogs paws making it difficult to enjoy walking around campground with them.

we were not informed that 4 of our groups buddy sites did not have the 50 amp pwr we need for our coaches due to an issue that KOA knew about for 2 weeks. We can't operate full A/C or other things so for 5 nights we had to deal with half power. Mangagement was very slack on communicating; basically just didn't care.Reluctantly offered to comp only 1 night for 5 days on half power. will not return

Typically a well run operation. This Fourth weekend, not so much. Several of our groups Premium sites were damaged while the campground cleared up a CATV issue. No 50 Amp power. only 30 Amp. No offer to move, no repairs made in the time we were guests. No interaction with Management informing us of a power problem We had to monitor HVAC's, coffee pots and microwaves. Blew circuits a few time. PIT

It was our first time here, and was a windy November weekend. We rented a Deluxe pet-friendly cabin. I was honestly impressed by how clean and fresh smelling the cabin was. The rooms are small but very cozy and they come with linens, individual cooling/heating systems, and the master bedroom has its own TV. The kitchen was very well equipped and clean. It even had a hair dryer, towels and some toiletries in the bathroom. The view is amazing and we are looking forward to coming back next season.

Nice Campground, very clean facilities. We rented a cabin and it was lacking in some items. Sleep 6 but only had Linens and dishware for 4. Also didn't have a frying pan or a spatula so it was difficult to make some of the meals that we had planned. Otherwise the cabin was very clean and the staff was very friendly. It was a quick walk to the beach and although it wasn't I'll deal whether the kids still had a great time. A couple of playgrounds also were entertaining for the kids. I would definitely recommend and we plan on coming back. We will be more prepared this time with extra stuff.
