Really wonderful staff! I have always appreciated State parks and have avoided private camping due to cost. And honestly, the prices at the State campgrounds have gone up so much that the price difference is much smaller. As our family has grown we now see it worth the extra cost for the help the staff provides and the amenities. Truly a park that all demographics can enjoy!

Receptionist was snarky; ponytailed guy in golf cart was rude; pool was dirty; place felt unkept. Koosies by register were cute; when I asked price, no answer! People were just rude.

Very friendly staff. Communicated mostly through text and very responsive to us as customers. Easy check in and check out. Very clean. Can't wait to come back.

Would NOT come back nor suggest to anyone. The pool was full of bugs. The bouncy was broken, the mini golf was terribly outdated paint chipping everywhere weeds, Could not get into store had to text, kids told to stay off the gravel road when on their bikes, showers were dirty and buggy paint coming off VERY DISAPPOINTED. The only thing was staff was nice when approached. No garbage pick up

Wonderful stay. First time there. From the guy cutting the grass to the young people delivering ice and firewood, everyone was great! One glitch seems to be our billing for our stay. Someone made it for our group we were in, and we changed into our name, and still ended up on original reservations makers bill. Haven’t sorted that out yet. We will be back for sure!

Property is lacking maintenance. Weeds in flower beds, grass is more weeds than grass. Bushes along driveway, front entrance, maintenance building, office building are overgrown. Our camp site needed to be mowed. Staff was friendly, weekend activities were great. Check in process was easy. Premium sites are large (we stayed in one). Regular sites will be cramped. Expect dusty roads.

The whole family had a great time. The kids love the pool and the playground and the ice cream social. Campground was very clean very nice. the staff was outstanding. We really enjoyed staying at the Chicago northwest KOA. It's hard to put into words how wonderful it was to stay at the Chicago northwest KOA.

Overnight stay was very nice. Interesting mix of sites including ones for camper traveling with dogs that included a fenced in area at the site.

We like to stay at this beautiful campground with our granddaughter. It's close to home and there is a lot for young kids and "old" folks to do. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great Experience!

I just think it's so run down, especially the mini golf, I mean of course it needs to be free, because I would be so embarrassed that people even have to golf on that! Fix it up! Plus you have a theater, but don't actually use it as a theater anymore! Also on the RV sites, it's really disgusting that your neighbors sewer hook up has to be right under and next to your picnic table! Bad set up!

I would have given 5 stars except for the poor water pressure. I've stayed here a number of times and pressure is usually better. I had to revert to my tank and pump to have enough pressure to shower. Wonder if there were well or pump problems. Everything else was great, check-in was very easy. They just handed us an envelope with everything we needed. The site was good, long and level.

Kid friendly place that we really appreciated! The Bears playground is perfect for young children. The activities were really fun and I appreciated that schedule to keep our family entertained as well as a good busy. The mini golf needs updating however that was our young children’s first time experience and they had a lot of fun! Your bathrooms and showers are clean, thank you!

We stayed due to a family member graduating or we would have left early. Water was FILTHY, smelly, and not adequate for use. Sites close together and not big rig friendly as they had rocks and light posts throughout. We also expected the grounds to be better maintained for the price paid. All activity areas were in disrepair. Bounce pillow had hole, trash and weeds throughout the grounds.

Neat and quiet campground. Staff kind and helpful. Love the swings on the sites! We stayed here in a 5th wheel in a pull through full hook up spot.

Peacefull!well ran amid COVID restrictions. Well maintained. The WiFi signal was weak. Need to work on that especially since no cable. Had to stream off my phone.

When I went, it was a very quiet place. I stayed there at a tent site, in my truck bed tent, with my dog. It was a fantastic stay. I look forward to going back again with my kids and wife, since there were a lot of activities that would keep my kids entertained. I would consider this to be a low key spot that would be excellent for stopping near Chicago, but not in Chicago.

The customer service was great. Bathrooms were clean. The only negative was the grass could of been cut before the stay. It was a little long. We would stay again for sure.

Nice pretty well kept campground. Grass was awfully long, could have been cut before we arrived at 6PM. Toilet seat in mens bathroom that is away from main building needs to be secured down. It can slide over when sitting on it. All other aspects of the campground were very nice. It was nice to have plenty of hooks and a seat in the greatly appreciated independent shower facilities.

We love coming here and it’s a nice easy short drive from home. Staff is friendly. Our only complaint is every time we’ve come the grass is way too long.

Nice facility and great employees. Had a very loud group across the road until late at night both nights of our stay. Also several people used our site to cut through to bath house and open field by the prarie area. Otherwise a 5 star rating would have been given. We'll definitely be back.

Friendly, small campground. As always, too expensive for what you get because it is a KOA. Nice little trails to walk behind the dog park.

Clean, well organized, and just a great time the entire weekend. Especially thanks for the assistance in leading me to my campsite when I first arrived, there was no way I would have figured it out on my own since I arrived just after dusk. Thanks again for a great weekend!!
