To advertise a heated pool and have it be as cold as it was, was a little disheartening. The kiddos could stand being in there for more then short periods at a time. The park could also use some upkeep. Overall it was a nice stay just the kids amenities were a little disappointing

A hidden diamond !!! Living in Duluth, this was the best find for a staycation!!!! Our family loved staying at the Cloquet KOA. Cleanest bathrooms I've ever experienced at a campground and wonderful staff. Other than the midnight train and typical Northland weather, we cannot wait to stay again!!!!

We've been coming for an event in the area for years. The national KOA booking site and the Cloquet Facebook page are un-helpful. Was hard to tell if the campground was even open. I called and got the last space for the weekend of the event. Only complaint was our (newly-added) site needed to be leveled better.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. The grounds were well kept. The only thing keeping me from putting 5 stars on this review is the lodging we were in could use a little maintenance and there was no AC in the cabins. We would definitely stay here again.

This is the best KOA that I've stayed at thus far in MN. Everything was very clean, sites were level, and the friendliness of the staff were beyond reproach. Duluth is our favorite place to get away and now we have a favorite KOA to stay at!!

Hosts went up and above to make our stay. They accommodated us by putting us in a spot with electricity and provided an adapter for 120 VAC. There were trains at night but even a tent we slept very well.

We chose this kOA for a girls trip. Loved the campground and the staff was so nice. The grounds and bathrooms were very clean. We had a blast. Would come back again

Great location to Jay Cooke park, Black bear casino, and to Duluth. Camp site is a bit small, the pool, bathrooms and showers are great, the trains can be noisy, but that is expected with the train tracks that close. Would recommend this KOA to anyone.

loved that it was a nice small campground, so the pool didn't get over crowded. They delivered firewood right when you asked for it. We even were able to get our giant floatie blown up by their staff which was really nice. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

The campground was crowded, but our site offered some privacy and I was surprised by how quiet it actually was. There was some highway noise and the occasional train (which was VERY close) but other than those we were pleased. The facilities were in good shape, the pool was clutch on the 97 degree day, and the staff were fantastic. I felt very accommodated and appreciated the extra attention.

Was good, only thing was the grounds crew trimming grass with a gas powered trimmer, relatively early on Friday morning wasn't to good, but they did stop once I complained. Other wise nice campground.

The proprietors were extremely friendly and accommodating. After a minor mishap with our black tank hose, they were helpful and forgiving, providing us with bleach and good instructions on cleanup. Honest about turning water off due to freezing temperatures, but turned back on in time in AM. Site a bit narrow, but overall one of best Journey KOAs.

I completely enjoyed our time at the Cloquet/Carlton KOA. Check in was quick and easy and the people working there were fun to work with. The property is well maintained, grass recently cut, clean surroundings, new cement patio’s. I was impressed. Thank you for a good holiday weekend.

We had a 5 night stay, and were very pleased with the campground. The grounds are very well kept, and the staff are readily available to assist with any needs that might arise. There is a nice play area for children (which we did not require) and a great dog run that allowed us to let our four-legged fur baby to enjoy some off leash time. We will stay there again sometime!

Non Premium full hookup pull through sites are too close together. Hot Tub was not working. Pool area could use some updating.

Well kept, nice park. The staff was very nice and provided lots of extra services that are normally not seen: Delivery of firewood to our site, frequent daily garbage pick-up from our site, and optional tank pumping at your site. The only negatives were that the off-leash dog area did not have anything in it and the park's wi-fi had very poor coverage.

I wish it has more bathrooms in the back of the wood. Because on popular holiday, the bathrooms were very busy. We can’t get a personal escort to our camp site like everyone else.

I had a relaxing time out there. Even though I was the only one at my campsite. I made the best of it. I plan on coming back before season is over... Wish more of my friends were into camping.

A great place to plug in on a cold night—staff couldn't have been nicer and because it wasn't crowded they were nice about getting a spot for us closer to the wifi (understand they're working on better reception) so that I could work and my husband could entertain himself with TV. Well-maintained—and some of the cleanest, most spacious bathrooms we've seen! Hope the hot tub and sauna get fixed

The cabin smelled terrible. There was no AC on an over 80 degree day. We only stayed here as a last resort as we could not find a motel with an opening after 2 hrs. of looking. The temps did cool down during the night and the cabin was more comfortable temperature wise. I was thankful for the showers the next morning. They were not especially clean, but not terrible either.

This is the earliest is the year that we have camped. Was so happy that they had spots available. Our stay was wonderful and the service at check in was great! Staff guided us to our spot, brought our firewood immediately and since our plug ins were on the opposite side of where they were located in the site, they even provided us with longer cords and hose to borrow for our stay!

Check in was easy. The grounds were clean. Nice, clean bathrooms/showers. There is a nice playground on site. The staff was attentive to our needs and very friendly. The location of the campground is very close to gas/grocery store/food/bar/casino, Jay Cooke State Park and a short drive to Duluth. A couple of trains came by at night which came and went in under a minute. Definitely stay again!

We have stayed at this KOA many times, love their cabins. Staff is very helpful and friendly. There Halloween weekend is the best, many activities for everyone! Definitely going back.
