For a “journey” it is definitely five stars. Clean laundry. Nice playground. Sweet pool. Lots of trees. The traditional “Journey Train” was much fatter say and quieter than most!

We had a great stay at this clean, friendly, and family-oriented campground. Great pool and friendly staff! Campers should be aware that there is a train track right next to the campground with trains occasionally running at night. Thanks for a nice stay!

No sewer connection, water on other side of the site, train noise at 330 am right behind the sight! Spotty internet! Was greeted in a brash manner by a staff member as I had parked in the wrong spot! Will not return nor will I recommend!

Staff were friendly and very helpful with backing up trailer in to spot, delivering firewood, and making recommendations on things to do in the area. The campground was also quiet/peaceful during the nighttime hours. Perhaps one of the best KOA campgrounds we’ve stayed at.

Nice friendly people. Camp sites were spacious and shaded. They offer a free “honey wagon” service (except for day you are scheduled to leave.) Good proximity to places like Jay Cooke State Park. If you hate train sounds, stay somewhere else. My suggestion would be to move the bike rack from the only disabled parking space near the restrooms. Also - the pet park is back a bit. It would be nice

The hot tub needs to be fixed. The road in front of the office needs to be widened so longer RV’s can negotiate the corner. Otherwise it was a good stay.

The campground offers various types of sites with some in the wooded area and others more in the middle. Dump station was not used but was located in front of the office which creates some traffic flow issues. The train is close by and we found that to be peaceful sounding as well but a bit loud to others. Staff was super friendly and courteous. Overall nice park. Frank L Wright gas station nearby

Basically,if you are not going to enforce the rules it is best not to have them. The pool said that children needed and adult, no diving, running or alcohol allowed, but we saw all of these! Dogs were not leashed and quiet times not enforced. An okay stay, but just be aware of these things. We are really glad we opted to hire a dogsitter for this trip or we would have had random extra dogs.

Very accommodating when we asked to go to a full hookup site. We were put in an overflow site which was really nice. The reason for overflow was because the campground was full when we called. Easy access to the campground with signs guiding us to it from the freeway. It was quiet except for the train which we got use to right away.

The entire facility was clean and everything was operable as advertised. Great location for a quick drive into Duluth. Our family was especially impressed with the staff. The entire staff was friendly and bustling around the grounds the entire time, making sure the guests had the best stay.

Site fire ring was not kept clean. I shoveled a box full of ashes from site I occupied and noticed several others needed cleaned. Site power did not have breaker or switch so plugging in immediately applied power.

It was a great experience. It was clean, comfortable, and the scenery was beautiful. The kids had a lot of fun.

We liked out stay! We thought the service was awesome, we have never had someone drive us to our site and pick up garbage. The grounds and bathrooms were really clean. The only suggestion is letting people know about the events/activities for the weekend, we didn't know about anything until we saw the kids lining up for the hayride and our little would have loved them. We will be back next year!

Nice bathroom facilities but not happy with our campsite. Water and power on opposite side of trailer so extension cord necessary. Some sites had gravel but our site had dirt which became mud .

Pros: Good sites "in the woods," flat camper pad, easy in/out, good signage, well maintained overall. Con: only 1 total bathroom stall in the non-sewer part of the campground with lines of 3+ people every morning. Overall restroom shortage (2 stalls for men in main building, 1 stall for men/women combined in satellite restroom). Fire rings VERY close to trees.

Nice quiet and large spaces. A bit out of the way and trains right across the road blowing their whistle was a downside but otherwise it was fine.

We have stayed at this KOA many times, love their cabins. Staff is very helpful and friendly. There Halloween weekend is the best, many activities for everyone! Definitely going back.
