I stay at the Davie KOA a few times a year. It is conveniently located to everything. The staff and guests are always friendly and helpful. They are always busy maintaining and improving the grounds. It is the only place I will stay when going to South FL.

Some of the sites are too close and don’t have adequate space to back in. My sewer hookup was so far back I had to use a third hose to reach it. It was also very elevated. The pool was nice and the laundry room was handy.

On our 5 week trip from NYS to Key West, this was where we spent the most time as we left our RV here while headed further south. It appears that this KOA may have been a trailer park before which still shows. Restroom/bathrooms were exceptionally clean. The pool water was too warm to cool me down in the 99 degree Florida heat.

Campground needs A LOT of attention and upgrades to facilities. Hosts were very nice people and check-in went smoothly. Pool was clean and surrounding area was furnished nicely, remote bathhouse was small but clean, but campsites were overgrown, a small "pond" in the middle was almost empty and the water was still and murky, and the clubhouse/laundry was old and rundown. Won't be returning.

The “deluxe cabin” is half of a trailer. The porch was infested with bees, the inside with ants. Mold around the electrical outlets, and the door wouldn’t latch so it couldn’t be closed or locked properly. Will never return

Staff were not friendly. Our spot was the dump station, literally. Grass was extremely tall. Grounds were run down and trashy looking. Felt unsafe and unwelcome.

When I arrived had to find koa member. She informed us because we were 2 hours ahead of check in (3pm) we had to pay a extra $20. The site assigned to us was in the grass with hook ups on the wrong side, sewer hookup was impossible. The campground was very run down, not many rvs there. Don’t waste your time and money here.

I had a motel room they called it. I was told we are the only ones in there. But someone kept coming and going all night keeping us up and making me feel unsafe. The cable TV did not work, the room had a bunch of dead cockroaches on the floor that I had to clean. The staff was nice and helpful at check in but they close the office at 6 so be there early or don't bother

It was a very friendly place to stay. We had a wonderful campsite, and enjoyed watching the resident ducks. The office personnel was terrific.

Very helpful staff! Facilities near, clean and in good repair. Very convenient location! Great opportunity for walking trails at park across the street or on the south side of the campground. Ron was SUPER in helping us get our sewer hose out from the ground connection. Thank you!

Great staff who Went beyond to help us.l. Need to clean up areas.. Pads need to be all smooth not any grass or weeds in them. Need to be open if you want to attract class A RV camping. Great to have trees but it is in way of turning and slide outs. Need to remove older broken trailers. Pool area great and welcoming. Need lights at entrance at night. More ...

Park has tropical feel. Staff very helpful; got us into tight space around obstructions. Park has potential but needs good bit of work. Site furniture had not been cleaned (e.g. trash in cushions). Being near office we felt like we were being watched. Our son came to pick us up and although we pre-notified the office, someone came asking us to pay for visitor. Dislike ducks sneaking up on us.

I would give it a zero if I could. Does not rate the KOA standard at all. Staff and ownership were rude. Everything was cobbled together and just cheap. Previous Run down nudist colony and shows it. Every space is extremely crammed in on top of each other. Horrible place and will never go back. Beware.

Much closer beaches than lion country. Peaceful little haven in the hustle and bustle of south fl. Traffic Even rode horses with my daughter. Didn't expect that. Everyone was nice

The ladies at the front desk are extremely nice and helpful. The room was clean and neat. However, there was a large spider on the floor in the main room and my slept in the bunk room and got a spider bite while sleeping. Not cool.

Very friendly staff. Excellent sites with tropical vegetation and trees. Nice pool. We really liked the air conditioned shower rooms. We'll be back!

People are very nice they get a 5 star. However our overall rating is a 3. It is nice to have more than 1 shower for a faculty. The tent sites are narrow but there are trees in your limited space! We have a 4 person tent and with the tree arrangement minivan was half on the road. Finally it is nice when a camp store has coffee&milk available. Beer filled a whole case. A pint of milk would be nice

In a previous review, I accidentally referred to a pit bull incident that had occurred in Ft Pierce, not Davie KOA. We enjoyed both of our stays at Davie and will return.

MY stay at KOA at Davie/Fort Lauderdale, FL from 4/8 - 4/11 was very unpleasant. I was provided early checking information from a staff member over the phone the night prior to my arrival but when I arrived at KOA at Davie/Fort Lauderdale, FL the day of check in I was given a different procedures for early checking by a KOA staff member.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. If looks like A older campground. The site are small but very clean. The entrance and exit is very tight.

Loved the KOA! I stayed in M13 cabin near a friend who has a motorhome right next to it. The cabin was exceptionally clean and if you are worried about Floida heat, I set the AC to the lowest point, and it was so cold I think it could've snowed inside. I found the grounds to be VERY quiet, no noise or shenanigans at all. The pool was sparkling clean and I just loved everything.

The owner and manager are wonderfully nice people, the place is clean, and the location is Near town. We knew before arriving there are no amenities on site. The downside has to be the train horns and at night and the big dogs off leash. My dog was attacked by a pit bull in the park, luckily I was just able to throw her into my truck as it jumped on my back and nearly knocked me over.

Didn’t have a 110 outlet on our site. Was told couldn’t have a tent site which had 110 outlets. Tent sites were vacant when we were there. We were traveling in a van and that would have worked

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We apologize for the inconvenience. However, we do not allow 30 amp vans or motorhomes on our tent sites. Our tent sites are for tents only.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Even had free breakfast on Saturday. But campground itself is old and crowded. Sites are very small and narrow, and we lost power for short periods multiple times. Location is convenient for stop on I 75, for short stay.

Place T10 was horrible. It smelled really bad! Staff was very kind and new showers were OK. It looks like a camping in progress.

Worst campground we ever stayed at in 20yrs of camping! Piles of brush everywhere including the campsite area. Fire ring full of ash. Bar and restaurant advertised in KOA book and website has not been open in years. I'm a disabled veteran and they charged my parents $5 just to come to our site to pick us up for dinner so I wouldn't have to walk to the front. KOA SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THIS PLACE!!

We arrived late at the Davie KOA. We had a challenge backing into the site when the KOA team immediately came over the collectively got our rig perfectly placed. We were so thankful. Although it is was just in a days work for them, we were amazed at the level of customer service. Wonderful spot, with access to everything the area has to offer. Thank you Davie/Fort Lauderdale KOA.

Very nice RV park! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, made us feel right at home. Our assigned lot was a spacious pull through with dull hookups and patio furniture, fire pit and BBQ! Quiet place, with pleasant RVers!
