First time taking our camper out. We definitely enjoyed it!!

It was difficult to speak to anyone in the office. I left several Messages and no calls back. We were traveling with friends and website said no sites were available; but the park is almost empty. We had an issue with the rig so we used the shower facilities. My shower was absolutely filthy with tons of hair in the corners and nasty walls. Most KOAs post hour to clean bathrooms—not here.

It’s a nice park and they are improving it all the time. Convenient location to Detroit and surrounding areas with a lot to do.

We had a lakefront site, was looking forward to it. But the surrounding sites were so close the neighbors and their big bully breed dog and strong words kept us in our camper.

Stayed in pull-thru in trees. Sites were tight together and not well delineated. Dirt road was narrow especially because you couldn’t fit truc into site after unhitching. Too many trees. Area needs to be thinned to widen road and open up parking. Sites should be delineated to create more space maneuvering and slide outs. Nice play areas for kids. Good service. Would love to see a dog beach area.

It’s a beautiful spot, it still needs work for a KOA like only one facility w/bathroom far from each end. Dirt road. But friendly staff.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay at this "new" KOA. We used it as a basecamp to attend events in downtown Detroit (a pretty straight shot from the nearby expressway, took maybe 30 minutes to get there) and we were only at the campground in the evening. But the time we spent was enjoyable. Small beach that we swam in alot in the evening, but a beautiful lake for other aquatic activities.

I was on site 4 under a nut tree. My motor home was bombarded with nuts day and night. I had to keep my awning out to prevent from being hit by nuts. Prior to leaving, I had to go on top and clear the nuts from my awning and slides to prevent the nuts from damaging them. I have never experienced that before and don’t expect to again. Sorry but I will not return.

Staff was great, has a late check in on a Friday night and the office was still open when I arrived around 8:30, camp store/office open until 10PM - it was nice to be able to get all checked in and have a host lead me to my site as it was already dark.

My husband and I spent 3 weeks and used this KOA as our home base while visiting our daughter. The campground was quiet and met all our needs, however there is room for improvement. The fire rings could use an upgrade as they sit VERY low in the ground and are quite small. The dirt roads are I need of gravel to minimize the dust. Overall, we had a nice stay!

Price to camp here has went up to KOA prices but campground quality is not up to KOA standards. If your going to charge KOA prices please give me A campground that is up to KOA standards. You have a long long way to go before you can command the price your charging. I cannot reccomend this KOA to anyone at this time.

Great pool for children, plus weekend activities. Grounds well kept, bathrooms clean but busy since next to pool. Cabins look great. nice dog park and lots of places to walk a dog. They also had 2 horses and hayride on weekend.

Large rocks, rather than gravel, at campsite that we couldn’t walk on. Fire pit gross, a rusty tire wheel! Very narrow sites to get into, almost too many trees. Dusty roads. Campground reps were wonderful, laundry area very good.

Everything was nice, quiet and peaceful. The showers could use a freshening up and a bench to sit on would be nice. The showers would be my only disappointment other than that it was very nice.

Just a bit to noisy for my liking. Granted I was in a tent in the back of my pickup. The location was decent and amenities where good. If you have a camper I am sure it wouldn’t be so bad. People coming in till 11pm and leaving by 5am with the noisy rocks just rubbed me the wrong way.

I’m a local which I’m certain most of the guests here are. This was only our second stay here this year because the rates skyrocketed. I expected since it became a KOA there would have been many upgrades. The bathrooms yes, but I don’t use them. The grounds need serious attention soon because people expect that from a KOA. The man with the red hair & beard is extremely rude and has 0 people

Loved the site we had, very shady site. Nice staff as well. Store seemed to be stocked with necessities, if needed.

Was there to go to the Michigan game, staff was very friendly and helpful with everything. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Staff was friendly. Wish more campsites had grass and not just dirt. The playground was also quite small. The slide looked like it was for toddlers.

We spent several days camped here in December-January, preparing to travel west for the winter. We needed access to hookups and space to connect the tow vehicle. The site was really perfect for this purpose, even under 6" of snow. The owners were helpful, the rate was great, and from what I could see in the dead of winter, the campground and lake would make for some good camping in happier weather.
