The staff was very nice as is the camp store. Our lake front site was great. The lake is lovely. The roads are dirt/gravel and need work. Overall, the campground is not great. Landscaping needs attention. The beach is not very nice, could use raked and some new sand. Water slide only open on weekends and mini golf is dilapidated and closed. The playground is okay but could use some cleaning.

I’m a novice at camping. My experience here left me and my friend wanting more. The staff was so welcoming and knowledgeable. They helped me feel at ease. The place is well maintained and clean. Loved the Saturday night dance party too!!

Lots and lots of rain. Large amounts of free standing water.Maybe some grading or stone would help. Great setting.Nice people.

This campground was the worst of the many I stayed at on our vacation. The semi permanent residents need to keep their areas clean and neat, not store excessive things outside and in tarp sheds. Bathroom needs to have a paper towel dispenser or air dryer. They did set out a roll of paper towels, but it got wet or was used up quickly. I hope changes can be implemented to make it a better.

I stay here 2-3 times a summer and always have a great time. The park is always clean, the lake is clean and beautiful, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. It's always a pleasure staying at this KOA. Dean

The location is great but the amenities were lacking. There was only 1 bathhouse that was far from the outside of the campground. Only a few showers and toilets even worked. The showers were extremely small, had no hooks or anything for your stuff. I was very disappointed. The sites were pretty close together but The lake was beautiful.

We were assigned a site that was not ready, they were working on electrical. There were multiple lake front spots open but none with full hook up. We ended up with electric & water only. They gave us free wood only. No discount on our site prices, then we asked to stay extra day they gave us 10% off, then that ending I received text stating if want to extend stay receive 25% off we never

We always enjoy our stays at Detroit Ann Arbor KOA. Peaceful. Wonderful to walk around the lake mornings and evenings!

When we arrived the grass and not being cut we requested several times for them to cut it it was way above the ankle. They were also numerous mushrooms that we found out to be poisonous that we asked to be removed and they never did we spent four days under the circumstances with dogs that we were afraid to let out

I gave it 3 stars because of the beautiful lake. We had a great view but the park is not well maintained. There were pot holes and sites were cramped. Also, people were not made to observe quiet hours and a group near us partied loudly until around 2:30am.

Roads are full of potholes. Sites are mud holes, lower than surrounding grassy areas, so a swimming pool exits under the RV, making utility connections very messy.

No putt putt, slide was closed. Other than that it was okay. Nice shaded spots.

So many things were wrong with this stay. First off you moved me 3 times the night I came in. You closed the lake due to weather, but it never rained nor did we have any lightning or thunder. The lake is the draw for this campground when you take that away its nothing. So many promises were made like gravel in all the spots my spot was all dirt and our firepit was full of mud and dirt.

Staff was amazing and very friendly. I know a lot of stuff is being worked on but I would like to see a cleaner, more sandy beach area. Way too much goose poop all over the grass, if there was more sandy area to put towels down etc. Have all fire pits above ground. My two year old almost tripped into ours (not lit) because it was ground level. Have grass shorter at sites.

Friendly staff, at first. Seemed annoyed by us, what could they expect when we get a site that was Full hook up only to not be? Then the electrical issue they had, was fixed, but could have given the heads up before our 3 hour drive!

We were given a terrible site w a 31” trailer. It was filled with lots of little trees & was unmanageable. We asked for another & she was quick to give us a pull thru. Grounds were soggy again, need to address that. Cut down crappy little trees & grind the stumps.

LOVE the waterfront sites for ease of fishing and kayaking but the rest of the resort does not live up to the KOA name at this point. The water slide, game room and mini-golf were not open as advertised on the website and the dirt roads are in very bad shape and need graded. The staff also needs to do a better job with their announcements/daily communications, which were spotty and inaccurate.

The staff here is amazing! Everyone is so friendly & they go above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy! The campground is so clean. Definitely my families new favorite place to be!

We have been coming to this camp ground for over 20 years & we were extremely disappointed in how awful the landscaping was. All the flower beds had tons of weeds in them & over grown grass on the sites especially on the water sites. This is a critical time to impress your new & past guests & we were not impressed at all with the appearance of the park. Looked very run down.

We have been staying here on and off for the last 30 years. It’s under new owner and is now back to a KOA name. The people in the office were very nice and very helpful. We had a very nice lake front site. I just think it was not kept up to what I would expect. The weeds were very high around our campsite and all the other sites around us. The putt putt golf was closed in need of repair.

Nice park, love the lake. We were led to a site that was pretty tight for the size of our rig. Had us go thru another site to get to ours and we scraped against a pine tree. Didn’t put the slide out until we got home and discovered that tree ripped our new slide out topper about 12”. Please be aware when leading people to sites.

Lot 151 was swamp with poor drainage. Two power outages. Staff was unavailable. I attempted to call for an hour with no one answering between 4-5 pm….

I waited 20+ min for the lady to get off the phone with a future booking. She seemed confused about my booking. Tried to put me in site that had a tent on it. Kept insisting they weren't "supposed" to be there. I offered to run them over with my 40' coach. She had me ride out with another lady to "make sure" the lot was empty - it wasn't. Lots of empty sites but couldn't decide where to put us.

KOA employees were very friendly, and we really appreciated the escort to the site. They also helped us back in to the site, since this was our first time parking this camper. Lake and beach were very nice, and the store was well stocked with lots of stuff! We would definitely stay again.

Roads are terrible in the campgrounds. To much standing water and holes. My site was ok but didn’t like that I come out of my trailer and my neighbors sewer hose was right there. Nothing separating the sites.

HAD A GROUP RESERVATION AND WE WERE NOT NEXT TO EACH OTHER AS SCHEULED. OFFICE STAFF WAS RUDE AND SHORT, SEEMED LIKE YOU WERE BOTHERING THEM, STORE WAS NOT OPEN MUCH. CAMPSITE WAS CORNER LOT ON THE END OF THE LAKE THAT HAD LITTLE ROOM AND POOR VIEW OF LAKE, GRILLED ON TOP OF THE NEIGHBORS SEWER OUTLET.

We spent several days camped here in December-January, preparing to travel west for the winter. We needed access to hookups and space to connect the tow vehicle. The site was really perfect for this purpose, even under 6" of snow. The owners were helpful, the rate was great, and from what I could see in the dead of winter, the campground and lake would make for some good camping in happier weather.
