We camped overnight in our RV van. We had a lakeside site which was fine. The gravel area was a bit chalky and not so pleasant. There are lots of trees and if we’d been in the mood, the swimming area looked inviting. The laundry room was clean with multiple washers and dryers. The only drawback was no WiFi service.

Staff very friendly & helpful. It seems this was an older campground turned KOA in Dec 2020. They haven’t been able to update amenities- no putt putt, run down playground, no WiFi towers. They’re working on it! The lake is beautiful & this place has a lot of potential. Water slide was closed during the week due to lack of staff, which was disappointing. Easy access to Ypsilanti & Ann Arbor.

We had a lovely shaded spot, store and staff nice. Bathrooms could definitely use more frequent cleaning, showers too. Grounds need to be cleaned up, weeded and more welcoming.

Our first time with a Trailer. We got a great location on the lake. Easy to park and great amenities. The kids loved the swimming and fishing.

Close by to the Henry Ford Museum. This is a newly acquired KOA from another campground, so I'm told, so I understand it may take some to time make some changes. or upgrade. Road into campground is rough. Shower are clean, but found at times the pressure was low. Nice lake for swimming for the kids. Nice weekend activities it seemed too. Owners were great and hopefully will continue to upgrade

I stayed at the newly established KOA , a few times between july 3rd and June 1st. the first and scond time checked in staff was a little short handed. It is that way everywhere. the lot i stayed in for a week was what they had left do to my last minute needs. That lot under the trees turned to a swamp after rains. overall its a nice park with a pond to catch and release in. Hand packed ice cream

Looks like this campground is new to the KOA family. The setting was one of the most beautiful we have ever had. The lake view was amazing. We will be back.

This was are first time staying here.The staff was friendly and helpful.was told they just became a KOA and are making improvements to the campground.we will be back to stay.

Was very nice, staff very friendly! But goose poop was so severe you had to watch every step while at the swim area and had to sit among it while at the swim area. Was wondering if it could be a board of health issue. Just seems like a easy fix where first thing in the morning someone used a pooper scooper and clean it up some us expected. Everything else was definitely a ten!! ��

We had a wonderful time at KOA Detroit/ Ann Arbor. Our space (pull through ) was big enough for our travel trailer and the truck we use to pull it. The facility are clean and well organized. We will come back in the future. Thank You

You should not advertise wi-fi is available for KOA Guests if it is so weak it can't be used, even at the office. However, the KOA Employee & KOA Manager's House had stronger signals available! I chose this campground because I had a 3 hr meeting Friday on Zoom, but had to find a public wi-fi to use. Really defeated the purpose of staying here!

Extremely impressed with both the staff and facilities. It gives a resort like feeling. It's not just a stay the night kind of place. There is so much to do at the campground and their store has items at a reasonable price...no need to drive anywhere!

The office is very easy to work with as I have been there around a month and I'm still there. The amenities to keep the kids busy are great and the weekend activities are always fun.

We stay to visit family, and will return (this is our 3rd/4th stay). This time we were in a site with a large depression along the passenger side of our RV. When it rained, there was a lake right outside our door. It would dissipate within a day or two but it rained a lot during our stay. We did not use most of the amenities (we were spending our time with family all day, every day).

It was not a nice KOA… in fact KOA needs to remove their name from this campground. It’s old, way too many trees that you can’t make turns if you are driving a class A. It smells like sewage and people were complaining and they were bringing a tractor out with dirt to cover the sewage to stop the odor. It’s really nasty here…needs a lot of help.

It was terrible we were placed between two permanent camper nurse was run down trailers the waterslide was not open the store has minimal hours there’s absolutely no Wi-Fi whatsover, there are no planned activities the swimming area is the size of a small swimming pool the playground is run down there’s no putt putt and there’s no other activities going on it was an absolute terrible stay!

Nice setting, easy access to the lake. Cute kids activities. Nice, clean facilities. Some fellow campers were very loud until very late. Also didn’t love that we had to pay extra to use the water slide (usually all play structures and amenities are included at a KOA?). Also no mini golf or dog park as advertised.

This was not a good stay for us. We booked 2 nights and pulled out after the first night. They have a nice lake and some good sites. We did not get a nice site. Tight, messy and cramped. Ours was in the middle of what looked like some long term residents. Not very well kept and very close to our site. Facilities need work. Staff was trying but overwhelmed. We will check back in a couple years.

I would not have stayed if I had known it was all dirt and mud and NO WIFI. SUCH A MESS. 3 days of rain and mud everywhere, I would think a load of gravel would make a big difference. Had ,mud on car and camper, big mess. Thanks no more. with you.

Overall, we had a very nice stay. There have been a lot of improvements, but there are still some needed. Staff was amazing! My son had a great time on the waterslide and in the lake.

The entrance road is a mess (dirt with holes). The campground roads are narrow and difficult to maneuver larger rigs. Some roads with trees partially in the roadway. The dimensions for vehicle length on sites are unrealistic. The park office closes at 5pm. Not the KOA standards I am accustomed to.

The campground is staffed by very friendly and helpful professionals. While checking in I learned my female Rottweiler was not welcome. I have not encountered this before at a KOA and will read the pet rules every time in the future. There are no vicious breeds. Polina is very sweet!

Site #110 has a lot of clay around campsite that holds water easily and makes a mess. Constant mud despite very little rain. Entry road has major pot holes. Not sure this campground represents a typical KOA.

Friendly staff. I was told over the phone that the store was open til 7:00pm Sun-Thurs only to arrive and find that it closed at 5:00 on those days. I experienced a level of mosquito bites that I have not encountered at any other RV camp. Loved the hiking trail and the beach. Restrooms and showers were decent too. Had a great time overall!

This was a great place to stay if you want to visit Detroit and Ann Arbor. Staff was very nice. Bathrooms could use updating.

Need to do some major pot hole repair on roads. I know under new management and they were very nice and trying hard to please. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

This campground is new to being a KOA and has a long way to go to get up to the standards of most KOA's They charge a high premium rate for a very low quality site. The roads are too narrow, there are trees that prevent larger rigs from completing turns and it is VERY under developed. I'm sure that with a lot of site work that they will eventually deserve to charge double the going rate.

too much mud/bumpy roads/standing water issues that need to be resolved. Would not recommend until roads are taken care of and water retention issues are resolved. Staff was inefficient at desk. Perhaps consider thinning out number of sites to eliminate the site congestion where slide outs overlap the neighboring fire ring.

Need to pave roads, fill potholes or at least gravel them. Campsites are on top of each other. Keep pets on one side of campground. It would be so much nicer if you would reduce the number of sites you had. Get rid of the rustier fire pits. They are also an eye sore. Rain is your worse enemy. Problem solve around that issue

They're definitely trying, but not hard enough to justify the premium prices. It was mostly pot holes, puddles and chaos. No paving, just a tractor poorly smoothing out the dirt. Our site was covered in water balloons and garbage. The woman checking our car tag at noon was really insistent that they would be enforcing them. But, at 7 pm, no one was up front checking. Why bother with the pretense?

We spent several days camped here in December-January, preparing to travel west for the winter. We needed access to hookups and space to connect the tow vehicle. The site was really perfect for this purpose, even under 6" of snow. The owners were helpful, the rate was great, and from what I could see in the dead of winter, the campground and lake would make for some good camping in happier weather.
