Estes Park KOA Marijuana Policy

Estes Park KOA Marijuana Policy: We pride ourselves on being a “Family-Friendly” campground. Our goal is to create an environment that promotes a positive/healthy environment in which families can create extraordinary memories for a lifetime. While marijuana is legalized in the State of Colorado, we are a private campground, and therefore we can ban the use of marijuana from our campground. We have chosen to ban the use of marijuana on our premises in order to provide families with the best possible experience to create those family memories. If a camper is using marijuana, they will be: 1. Asked to stop the use immediately, advising them of our campground's policy. 2. If they choose not to do so or begin to use it again, they will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

Extra Cars Per Site

All nightly registration fees include an allowance for one vehicle. ALL vehicles must be registered with the front office BEFORE any vehicle may enter the campground. We do not allow for more than one car per reservation. Any extra vehicles will have to park at the Estes Park Fairgrounds in their overnight parking lot or at The Visitors Center.

EV Charging

We do not allow for EV charging on the campground. Please do not plug your electric/hybrid car into our campground. There are many charging sites in town. Please visit them online at https://estespark.colorado.gov/electricvehicles. A $100 fine will be charged if found charging on the campground.

Firearms and Fireworks

Are not allowed at all. We have a zero tolerance on this issue.

Firepits and firewood

We have fire pits on all tent and Cabin sites. Most RV sites have fire experiences, some are propane fire pits (propane included) due to close proximity of trees. These propane rings are perfect for Smores and hotdogs.

Garbage

Please place your non-recyclable garbage in one of our bear-proof dumpsters DURING store hours.
We use bear bars to prevent bears from getting into the dumpsters.
The dumpsters are located on either side of the main entrances.

Laundry

We have a laundry facility - Open 24/7. We have six washers and four dryers; they are all coin-operated. Rolls of Quarters are available at the front desk.

Pets

We are a dog friendly campground and do not charge for pets kept in our guest's camping units. (RVs/Tents) We do charge a $25 cleaning fee for pets in our cabins.
Well behaved pets are always warmly welcomed. All dogs must remain on leash.  Retractable leashes are acceptable but must be reeled in to a 6 ft. length when near other campers with or without other dogs. Any aggressive animal behavior will be met with swift action to protect the safety of all campers and their pets. Aggressive behavior includes excessively barking, growling, baring teeth, biting, etc. If your dog displays aggression towards other dogs or campers, 1) we will have to ask you to confine your dog to your camping unit, 2) leave the campground (any refunds will be at the managers discretion). The safety of everyone is our first concern!

Quiet Hours

Quiet Hours are from 10:00pm until 7:00am. Please be considerate of others.

Recycling

We recycle glass, plastics, paper, metal cans, cardboard, batteries, and propane bottles. There are recycling bins at both of our main entrances.

RV Washing

We do not allow campers to wash their cars or RV's.  We do allow, in certain instances, for the camper to wash their windshield, in order to avoid fees from RV rental companies.

Store Hours

Our store and game room hours vary throughout the season. In general, we are open from 8am-7pm.

Showers

For our registered guests, we do not charge for the use of our showers. We have restrooms on either side of our main office. The West Bathrooms are "family-style," and each includes a private shower, sink and toilet. The east bathrooms are "dorm style." We also have a tent area bathhouse with three family-style bathrooms and dishwashing stations on the end. We do not provide showers for non-registered guests.

Meet Your Hosts

Greg and Peri Ann Query

Welcome to Estes Park!

We've been happy campers for a long time. Much of our family camping experiences have been in Wisconsin. When our children became travel-worthy, we made several multi-state trips to national parks. Greg was in scouting and has always loved life outdoors. Peri studied outdoor recreation and park administration in college, camped as a child with her family, and has worked in a variety of state, federal and municipal park settings.

Our Daughter, Jamie, 28, worked at O'Connells Jellystone campground for two years. In 2016, she learned about campground management from the owner of Smokey Hollow Campground in Wisconsin. Jamie enjoys acting, playing Xbox, reading, bicycling, woodworking, and just being outdoors.
Mark, 25, enjoys camping, Minecraft, riding bicycles, swimming, fishing, doing puzzles and eating pizza.

We are excited about our new life in Estes Park, Colorado. Rocky Mountain National Park offers water, woods, and hills to explore for many years!
