This is the only KOA I have ever stayed at where I had the feeling I was being watched constantly. We had permission to unload an extra truck at our site and while we were unloading it an employee sat behind us waiting for us to move it even though there was no traffic on-site and plenty of room to get around it. They drive around on golf carts constantly watching you. Just a creepy feeling.

We drive around making sure there is no trash to pick up and to see if any of our guests need anything.

This is my favorite KOA. Our fourth stay here, and it is the cleanest and nicest park out there. The owners are great people and so are the people working there. The campground is so peaceful, and there are still a lot of things for the kids to do. My family and I love this place very much.

I know alot of people complain about the rules but we had fun. THank you for letting us ride our mopeds from our site and out to the city. Very nice meeting all of you. You were all very friendly and that was great

Had a great time, would recommend filling in some of the low spots around several campsites as they fill up with water very quickly during a rain shower other than that enjoyed our stay PS also would suggest cutting down the bushes by the entrance to the bathhouse and making that area more inviting

We brought our grandchildren for the weekend. Campground was clean, well-maintained and had a lot of activities for the kiddos! They really enjoyed the miniature golf and mining for gems. The pool was not crowded and the pool area was clean. Our site (79) was spacious and the grill/patio furniture was clean and in excellent condition.

We had a giant stump and roots right through the middle of our campsite which caused a very large trip hazard. I use the restroom right after it was cleaned the ladies room toilets were covered with pubic hair toilet paper stuck in the very last bathroom was filled with urine and poop and the handle was broken.The dump station had no nozzles so that you could rinse your black tank. ���

Super nice people at check in. Nice, well kept grounds and sites. But the golf cart Nazi??? We had to drive our truck to drop off food at family’s site. He followed us snd yelled that we had to move. We were parked off the road. We are in our late 60’s and couldn’t carry chairs and food. He was nasty and looped around twice until we finished unloading. Won’t be back or recommend until he

We had a family gathering and it was discouraged. I agree with rules but your rules are a bit much. No water Spicket anywhere. Very hard to enjoy camping in a cabin! The broom in the cabin was so bad it was useless. That is a simple fix! The activities for the children shouldn’t be an added charge. The facility is very nice & clean. There are a lot of rules, as we have experienced at other KOA's. However, the enforcement of these rules could & should be done in a friendlier manner. We felt that some of the staff were rude. If they could be a little more pleasant, we would enjoy our stay a lot more.

Very nice camping sites. The sites are roomy. The owners and their workers were very kind and helpful. The whole campground was well kept. We say “this is the nicest koa we that we have used”������

At check in the clerk was very rude! The bugs at night are awful, they need to spray the area. The evening ranger was unprofessional and got nasty asking a friend to move her car. We will not waste our money at this campground again.

KOA camping is just what we have been looking for. The staff at the Gaylord KOA are cordial and very helpful. Even though we live nearby we have chosen this KOA as our getaway place.

We were just passing through but were very impressed with the whole operation. I was a beautiful tranquil campground with all kinds of amemities. We would definitely stay again.

It was ok. Manager rode around a lot on golf cart staring at people. In women’s shower only 1 or 2 drains for 5 showers. I didn’t shower in middle ones didn’t want to be standing in other peoples water. Could use some updates

Great place to stay. Friendly helpful staff, restrooms & showers were very clean - hot showers. Grandchildren loved all the activities. I look forward to going back.

It was our first time at a KOA. The park was clean and well kept. The large pull thru sites were a very pleasant surprise, the trees and wildlife had a true up north feel. We will definitely be coming back!

We've stayed at RV resorts for around the same price that were fully paved, had level sites and didn't charge an additional price per vehicle for overflow parking which was just a grassy area off to the side. Also, tree stumps everywhere throughout the park which need to be removed on account they're tripping hazards to say the least. There's a lot of upgrades that need to be done.

It was very nice. Only thing they would not let our emotional service dogs in office and rec center. I think that might be against the law. I have letters from my dr and vet that she is trained to be at my side for emotional security reasons which I can provide if necessary

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

If you look up the ADA guidelines, it states that emotional support animals are not considered service animals.

Very pleasant stay. Nice site. Very quiet area. The only disappointment was no paved roads and some of the amenities needed updating. Restrooms and showers were clean. We stay there again.

We had a wonderful week stay at this Gaylord KOA. Park is very clean including the laundry and showers. Pool is also very clean. Bounce pillow and other things for kids and teens. WIFI pretty Close to Gaylord. The Ostego state park (beach) is very close - about 10+ minutes. Park staff were very friendly and helpful. Saw beautiful Elk at the elk farm between the KOA and Gaylord. We WILL return.

I stay here all the time with my kids, I have never had a issue with staff they have always been friendly and helpful. everything has always been clean, plenty of nature and piece and quiet. as for the bad reviews it seems if you treat staff with respect they will treat you the same. My kids may get a little obnoxious time to time and get a little word from one of the staff but thats their job to keep the rules enforced, the staff always comes to me respectfully if theres a issue and i handle it, same goes with my dogs. The owners there bust their humps to make sure everone is happy and things are in order, they have gone out of their way with requst when i have asked them for something. Always a awesome, quite, fun and clean place to relax and enjoy the wilderness.

Georjean, Kristen and Stacy were awesome! They really accommodate my husband and I. I'm greatful for there wonderful service. The deluxe cabin was more than I anticipated. Very clean and modern, two decks, grill etc.. overall a great first time camping experience! Thank you KOA staff and be blessed!
