We stayed in one of the primitive cabins near the bathrooms and pool. The cabin was very clean and worked well for our needs. All facilities were very clean. I didn't give 5 stars only because this campground doesn't have as many things to do as others I have seen, but we did enjoy how quiet it was here.

very nice park but, we had a problem as we were leaving. Our campsite was riddled with old tree stumps that were too close to the trailer. Upon leaving our site, we thought we had cleared the last stump, when in fact it caught the under carriage of our trailer, which damaged the drainpipes and jack. We understand accidents happen. These stumps were old, not fresh cut-lot #73. Need to be removed.

Pro's clean bath & shower curtain, quiet, nice camp store, friendly staff. Con's - the floor in our cabin was filthy! Yes, I realize its a cabin, but a walk from the bed to the bathroom and my feet turn black. Would loved a doormat for shoes. swiffered and cleaned the entire floor and used a towel as a doormat. Mouse droppings in drawers. For price, I shouldn't clean.

We needed a convenient, place for a one night stay on our way to the UP. The Gaylor KOA was perfect as they usually have a number of pull-through sites for units pulling a car, boat or trailer. Our assigned spot was a little short - probably my fault since I did not know what length to put on the registration form. I should have used our total length of motorhome plus car.

The facilities were great. One staff member who delivered wood was VERY rude to our guest that had just arrived. He was demanding, belittling and down right rude when all we needed was some direction and understanding. Would of given a five star rating if this hadn't occurred. Left a very bad first impression.

We were very impressed with this particular KOA. We have stayed at many and this was far and away the best! Nicest staff, cleanest facilities, groomed roads and tons of things for kids! Very close to Gaylord and city convinces. Highly recommended! Bob

Clean! Friendly, helpful staff and well kept facilities. First time staying there and highly recommend! Love all the tree cover and easy access to electric.

Campground is always clean and maintained. Bathrooms are clean and working. I stay every summer just for the hospitality and clean well run campground.

Great campground. Spacious sites. Quiet. It is very well kept. Laundry area as well. Love they have an entry gate. Wonderful walking trails. Great pool and activities for the kids. Only downside I would say is that the staff could be a tad bit friendlier. They drive around on the golf cart and never smile or wave at people. Otherwise a wonderful campground.

We came up to Big Ticket Festival for the weekend. We saw good reviews on Good Sam and we weren't disappointed. The staff was welcoming and helpful. We would definitely include this campground in any future plans to the Gaylord area.

Overall, good stay. Facilities well maintained. Disappointed the wood we purchased was wet and didn’t burn well was only negative. Very friendly folks! Have already recommended campground to family who just made reservations.

Very nice campground. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was quiet and well kept. Our girls enjoyed the playgrounds, jump pad, bike rentals and mini golf. The bathrooms were clean and the pool was very nice. We really loved how peaceful it was!

The only complaint would be that the picnic tables need to be power washed as when you touch them you get a black powder or moss or both on your hands, legs and clothes. The rest of the adventure was awesome.

Very clean and friendly staff. Loved how they delivered wood and watched over the camp. This is an extremely family and pet friendly place.

Friendly service when making the reservation, in the store and around the camp. Rustic cabin was perfect for my needs. Camp was clean and well maintained.

It was a nice shady koa. The rules are very strict and many don't make any sense (i.e. you can only park certain vehicles at your site and others have to go to overflow, but there is no rhyme or reason behind which can be parked where). The pool was nicely maintained. Playground was very outdated. Wrist bands were $10. Not my favorite koa.

It was very calm and relaxing stay for us. You should put a sign on the road for campers to go straight, don't turn right the wrong way. The GPS has the wrong direction.

Really like the place thought the rule to park your other vehicle in a different spot was kinda stupid. There was plenty of room to park my vehicle at my campsite.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We have learned by experience that one car to a site is the best way for our park. Unfortunately not all of our sites have room for more than one so we only allow one to a site.

Had a nice time. We have been coming here for about 18 years, so we've seen the many improvements that Dave and Georgann have made over the years. Its always nice to see them and be reconized by them. Great stay.

Only stayed 2 nights to visit family in area so no knowledge of amenities. Roads could use some work for pot holes.

I stay here all the time with my kids, I have never had a issue with staff they have always been friendly and helpful. everything has always been clean, plenty of nature and piece and quiet. as for the bad reviews it seems if you treat staff with respect they will treat you the same. My kids may get a little obnoxious time to time and get a little word from one of the staff but thats their job to keep the rules enforced, the staff always comes to me respectfully if theres a issue and i handle it, same goes with my dogs. The owners there bust their humps to make sure everone is happy and things are in order, they have gone out of their way with requst when i have asked them for something. Always a awesome, quite, fun and clean place to relax and enjoy the wilderness.

Georjean, Kristen and Stacy were awesome! They really accommodate my husband and I. I'm greatful for there wonderful service. The deluxe cabin was more than I anticipated. Very clean and modern, two decks, grill etc.. overall a great first time camping experience! Thank you KOA staff and be blessed!
