I have stayed here multiple times. The wood for fires is horrible. We have a serious time getting it started. It’s wet. Very frustrating because that’s a HUGE part of our trip especially because our meals are cooked on it. Might have to skip Gaylord next year because of it

My stay was ok. I was surprised that the adult bed was a futon style with vinyl covering on a 6 inch thickness. Had to put a blanket under the sheet to not sweat. We slept ok but if you have trouble sleeping due to mattress conditions, I recommend taking a comfy foam pad to lay on top. The table surface was very sticky so I recommended taking a table cover Door window needs curtains

I'm sorry you weren't happy with your stay. It does state on the website when you made your reservation what is included in the cabin. We have other deluxe cabins that have queen beds that you may want to try next time. Safe travels!

The campground was very well maintained, and everything at check in went extremely smooth. The bathrooms were very clean and so were the cabins we stayed in. However, quiet hours are at 10pm, and even though we obeyed the hours it just seemed that 10pm on Saturday is a bit too early. Maybe 11pm, but 10 just seemed early compared to other campgrounds. Everything else was great!

Our delux cabin was clean and well stocked. The staff were very nice. I gave a 4 star rating only because the campground could use a little more vegetation between sites for more privacy. Our firepit was right by the road and that did not feel very cozy or intimate so it was less enjoyable.

Grounds were clean, people were friendly and nights were very quiet. The beds in the cabin were hard as rocks, but we will be aware of that for next time.

This was my first camping experience and I loved it! Georjean, Kristen and Stacy are really awesome! They went out of there way to accommodate me and my husband and that was greatly appreciated. The deluxe cabin was more than I could ask for. Two decks, beautiful swing and table set to sit out and grill or to have morning tea was great. The cabin was clean and modern. I definitely enjoyed myself.

We had a pleasant stay. Our only couple complaints: 1. the step up onto the porch of our camping cabin was too high (while other cabins had patios, ours did not, so perhaps if one is added that would fix the issue). 2. The cabin was not clean and had a lot of dirt in the corners of the every room. We cleaned the bathroom and beds before we would use them. The cabins are very close together and camp sites are right on the cabins as well. The places needs a good cleaning and updating.

Drove 4 hours to this location to stay in a deluxe cabin. It wasn't cleaned at all. The woman at the front desk told me someone was in it the day before and it was cleaned by a new crew, giving me no solution to the issue so we left. When I finally was able to speak to management I was told that manager cleaned it herself. They can't keep their lies straight... it's sad

The young dark haired woman was awesome. The rest of the staff really ruin your visit. The other two women I encountered were obnoxious and rude. I guess asking for a lid for $2.25 cup of coffee I purchased was asking too much. She was so annoyed that she had to put her iPhone down to get me one. Also, harassed by an older man and woman because we had an extra car on site while we unloaded.

Had a great time. Bathrooms very clean and the staff was friendly. I did not encounter the owner that so many people mention in their reviews, most likely because I was not trying to skirt the rules. Kids enjoyed the putt putt, bounce pad, and pool.

It was okay. We were harassed by an older male staff member the first night. So we’re another couple. Over having a second vehicle on site as we unloaded it. Staff wasn’t very friendly. Just felt spied on continuously while trying to have a nice family time. More info should be given as to what your cabin has(cable, air) you don’t know what you’re getting ahead of time. But they are

We have been to this KOA a number of times, as we have family with a seasonal site. We enjoyed our stay in a cabin this time and will definitely continue to return. The staff is great and very friendly.

Staff member, Spike, was really nice! We did buy wood there and it was wet. Was told it wasn't wet, just hardwood, although you could hear it sizzling and not catching fire. Staff wasn't the nicest about grabbing kindling out of the woods to help remedy the problem and told us to return it to where we found it. Overall, we had a great time and the cabin and bathrooms were clean!

This was the second year in a row we rented Kabin 13. We had an amazing time. Our son Owen made so many friends. We are planning on returning next year for year #3. Thank you for you're great hospitality!!!

The campground is beautiful and clean. The activities are great, though I think the value for the price needs to be reevaluated. There were some very pleasant staff members who were great. But there were two in particular that were very rude and made our stay unpleasant and have really made us question returning. Customer service needs to be a higher priority here.

Nice place. Too few bathroom locations. Kind of felt nickel and dimed by all the different fees just to use the playground features. Arcade machines didn't work. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We have been staying at the Gaylord KOA for many years. The staff are very accomodating from the time you arrive. The campground is well kept. We also like the location which is close to many kayaking facilities. Hopefully, we will be able to return again next season.

Deluxe Cabin 21 has a great floor plan. Large room with bunk beds and floor space for kids to play. We will be renting this cabin again in the near future!

We had a family gathering and it was discouraged. I agree with rules but your rules are a bit much. No water Spicket anywhere. Very hard to enjoy camping in a cabin! The broom in the cabin was so bad it was useless. That is a simple fix! The activities for the children shouldn’t be an added charge. The facility is very nice & clean. There are a lot of rules, as we have experienced at other KOA's. However, the enforcement of these rules could & should be done in a friendlier manner. We felt that some of the staff were rude. If they could be a little more pleasant, we would enjoy our stay a lot more.

It was just a one night stay. Did not feel comfortable with other campers, but the cabin was fine and smelled like pinewood.

The group I went with rented 3 rv/tent sites and 2 cabins. The Ranger was very rude to our entire group throughout our stay.

We stayed in one of the Deluxe Cabins and it was very nice. Only drawback was the mattress was a little compressed down making it uneven for my wife and I to lay side by side. We spent one night in a rustic cabin and it was very good as well. The cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers and the overall tidiness of the park was very good. Hoping to come back in the fall.

never put someone next to the grouchy old man that works there so the first thing he says to you is if i here anything i will tell you to be quiet. let people unload their car before you tell them to move. put a curtain on the front door. make sure all the lights work. fix the top step so people dont fall. I'm pretty sure i was suppose to have a patio, I'' stop there

I stay here all the time with my kids, I have never had a issue with staff they have always been friendly and helpful. everything has always been clean, plenty of nature and piece and quiet. as for the bad reviews it seems if you treat staff with respect they will treat you the same. My kids may get a little obnoxious time to time and get a little word from one of the staff but thats their job to keep the rules enforced, the staff always comes to me respectfully if theres a issue and i handle it, same goes with my dogs. The owners there bust their humps to make sure everone is happy and things are in order, they have gone out of their way with requst when i have asked them for something. Always a awesome, quite, fun and clean place to relax and enjoy the wilderness.
