A worker (man with a mustache) who drive a golf cart was very unfriendly- I observed him yell at children, tell us to slow down (we were going 5mph) and he yelled at the campers next to us which got them very angry so we had to listen to them gripe about this worker and swear the entire night.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Actually the person in the cabin next to you was quite drunk and using a lot of profanity. We do not tolerate that. And we do not ask people to slow down unless there is a reason. Safe travels.

We had a lovely weekend stay in our KOA cabin over Labor Day. Gaylord was the perfect place to stay to sight see around northern Michigan during the day and retreat in the evenings to our cabin. The KOA campground's anemities/bathrooms were always well stocked and very clean. The cabin had a heater that helped take the chill off in the evening.

Loved our stay at Gaylord KOA! Our cabin was great, and the campground was clean and staff friendly. The A/C in the cabin did not work well, but we had a cooler weekend so that wasn't a huge deal. Our little one loves to jump on the jump pads but we did not do it here because she is too little to do the rest of the wristband activities. Overall, great experience!

The campground is nice, clean and affordable. Our cabin was clean. The campground it self was quiet and enjoyable. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint was not much for the kids to do without having to pay for it. Otherwise I highly recommend for a nice getaway

Everything and everyone was perfect. Well except for the beds in the cabins. Very uncomfortable. Other than that, the stay was fantastic.

Love the area but the campground could use some sprucing up. We stayed in the deluxe cabin. Have stayed in it before. Needs a little TLC. Window trim is rotting, could use a gutter, and we had a mouse visiting us at night. Small things make a big difference. Love the size of the park.

The campground was nice, lots of mature trees; the mosquitoes though were horrible! I don’t think I ever stayed at a campground with so many mosquitoes; we used bug spray but it didn’t help much; the cabin we stayed in was ok; very small but expensive! multiple blind slats in the bedroom were missing so it didn’t matter if you closed them or not;air conditioner was very noisy;

Customer service was mediocre. Not much hospitality . For a holiday KOA I was not impressed by the amenities or quality of camp sites. Cabin was clean . Staff always harassed about parking . Bathrooms not kept during day and appears no effort made to make Door handles Covid compliant such as foot handles on bathroom or common doors . Pretty boring stay if youR counting on This KOA to make it Fun.

Actually our bathrooms are kept clean all day. Unfortunately we do not have staff that can be at the doors all day and to wipe the handles. And I was surprised when you told us that your son did not want to participate in anything in our activity area. He would have had fun.

We stayed in Kabin 13 and we enjoyed our stay so much. It was a beautiful cabin. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our return stay in September.

I had a handicapped person with me and your facility is not execessible for handicapped person. Also cabin K1 had an abnormally high step to get onto the porch. I had a hard time getting up there and my husband could not get up or down without help. I feel you should add an additional step. The access to the bathrooms was also difficult for my husband to get up the 3 steps without help.

We have been going for years to the Holiday KOA in Gaylord. Our kids and grand kids LOVE going here every year. Dave and Georgeanne are amazing people and do so much to make it a fun and enjoyable stay for everyone. Thank you for all you do!

We've stayed at the Gaylord KOA two years in a row and plan on many more years to come. The staff are super friendly and helpful. My kids love all the fun things they can do, especially the pool. We chose to stay in a deluxe cabin this year and it was great!

We loved it. We had a lot of fun. We have stayed there a couple times now. This time we stayed in the deluxe cabin. It was nice but it was not fully cleaned and the bed was very loud to sleep in. Didn't get much sleep because you couldn't move without it being extremely loud. Other than that we really like it and would stay again.

I am a non camping person so the deluxe cabin worked out well for us to be with out of state family camping there.

Had a good stay. Campground is good location and office was friendly. Only bad thing was a grumpy visitor was trying to tell us we could not wash dishes in the sink that was there in the laundry room which was incorrect.

I stay here all the time with my kids, I have never had a issue with staff they have always been friendly and helpful. everything has always been clean, plenty of nature and piece and quiet. as for the bad reviews it seems if you treat staff with respect they will treat you the same. My kids may get a little obnoxious time to time and get a little word from one of the staff but thats their job to keep the rules enforced, the staff always comes to me respectfully if theres a issue and i handle it, same goes with my dogs. The owners there bust their humps to make sure everone is happy and things are in order, they have gone out of their way with requst when i have asked them for something. Always a awesome, quite, fun and clean place to relax and enjoy the wilderness.

Georjean, Kristen and Stacy were awesome! They really accommodate my husband and I. I'm greatful for there wonderful service. The deluxe cabin was more than I anticipated. Very clean and modern, two decks, grill etc.. overall a great first time camping experience! Thank you KOA staff and be blessed!
