Very Clean campground with great showers, best we've seen in Michigan. Friendly staff, very helpful. Please note that full hook up does not always include sewer availability. That was the only problem in a whole weeks stay. See you next July!

We had six visitors on 7/16/21 and they were charged $5.00 each to visit our camp site #78, which is a ridiculous amount of money. To make matters worse, four revisited our site the next morning and were charged $5.00 each again. Our group was on site numbers 77, 78 & 79, which were more than ample to accommodate an additional car at each site. But our guests had to park in the visitors lot.

The Gaylord KOA is a well-run operation. The park is clean and the sites are well spaced. One recommendation I would offer is that they improve the entrance road and the road after going through the gate. The road is either quite muddy when wet (and get all over your tow vehicle or the camper) or very dusty when dry.

Loved the park and the staff was friendly! However did not like our site.. It said big rig friendly, but the site they put us on had three tree stumps on it, making it really cramped. There was a stamp right out from our door, but we couldn’t have moved over any because we were inches away from the electricity box. All of the other sites loved nice and spacious!

The workers were nice and helpful but our site was awful. We were stuck facing an electrical transformer/meters which cut our space by over half. It was dirt/sand, barely any grass. Cigarette butts everywhere. The site across from us had dogs that barked constantly and were left outside unattended. Campers parked in the back row that looked abandoned.

This was the absolute last campground available 4 our Mackinac Trip. For that, I’m thankful. The staff was super friendly. However, the bathrooms are awful! They are dirty and do not get cleaned! I know this because a perfect dirt footprint was in the shower and it was there the entire stay! The shower stalls are tiny, the shower curtain dirty and tiny! The toilet stalls are tiny! So 3 stars.

The showers & bathrooms are clean & water hot for shower. The grounds are clean & there is a nice hiking trail head right inside the campgrounds. The sites have plenty of room. The store is great & has most items people tend to forget including souvenirs . The only downside was the heated pool was actually somewhat cold even on an 84 degree day.

We stayed 4 days and even though it rained a lot we still had a good time. The people who work here are very kind and helpful.

Great campsites. As big as the campground is there aren't enough washers and dryers to accommodate. The office staff was very friendly but the outside staff were not friendly. Never waved as they passed by. Didn't see any smiles either. Camping is a feel good experience but staff wasn't into it.

Relatively quite and well kept site. Muddy when it rains, but drains and drys quickly enough. Water, power, cable all worked well as did the dump station. I’d return.

very nice park but, we had a problem as we were leaving. Our campsite was riddled with old tree stumps that were too close to the trailer. Upon leaving our site, we thought we had cleared the last stump, when in fact it caught the under carriage of our trailer, which damaged the drainpipes and jack. We understand accidents happen. These stumps were old, not fresh cut-lot #73. Need to be removed.

We needed a convenient, place for a one night stay on our way to the UP. The Gaylor KOA was perfect as they usually have a number of pull-through sites for units pulling a car, boat or trailer. Our assigned spot was a little short - probably my fault since I did not know what length to put on the registration form. I should have used our total length of motorhome plus car.

The facilities were great. One staff member who delivered wood was VERY rude to our guest that had just arrived. He was demanding, belittling and down right rude when all we needed was some direction and understanding. Would of given a five star rating if this hadn't occurred. Left a very bad first impression.

We were very impressed with this particular KOA. We have stayed at many and this was far and away the best! Nicest staff, cleanest facilities, groomed roads and tons of things for kids! Very close to Gaylord and city convinces. Highly recommended! Bob

I stay here all the time with my kids, I have never had a issue with staff they have always been friendly and helpful. everything has always been clean, plenty of nature and piece and quiet. as for the bad reviews it seems if you treat staff with respect they will treat you the same. My kids may get a little obnoxious time to time and get a little word from one of the staff but thats their job to keep the rules enforced, the staff always comes to me respectfully if theres a issue and i handle it, same goes with my dogs. The owners there bust their humps to make sure everone is happy and things are in order, they have gone out of their way with requst when i have asked them for something. Always a awesome, quite, fun and clean place to relax and enjoy the wilderness.

Georjean, Kristen and Stacy were awesome! They really accommodate my husband and I. I'm greatful for there wonderful service. The deluxe cabin was more than I anticipated. Very clean and modern, two decks, grill etc.. overall a great first time camping experience! Thank you KOA staff and be blessed!
