Campground Reviews

This was our first stay at this KOA. Front office staff were very nice and informative. Site was clean and spacious. Restroom was very clean. CABLE would have been nice. Our rating of '4' is considered very high only because Covid-19 has put a lot of limits at the park. We will stay here again! Having Tamarack next door & John Powell Museum across street, gives it another plus!

We were happy with the location of this KOA. It was clean and quiet. The restaurant at the front of the campgrounds was good & there are 2 truck stops win a mile. Also, due to construction in Moab we are certain we were able to get back to Green River after leaving Arches and Canyonland before anyone staying in Moab could make it back to their hotel rooms or campers. We would stay here again.

Visited Colorado from CA. Stopped both ways at Green River KOA. Nice cabins and hot showers. Masked and socially distanced. Thank you.

We loved the location and the host kindly directed us to some local beauty which we truly appreciated!!!

I'm sure the campground was nice but it was too freaking cold to experience much. (It got down to 18 degrees the night we stayed! BRRRRRR!!!)

Nice camp spots; camp host was very personable and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Areas were clean.

Nice park just a lot of flies

We had lots of questions and they patiently answered them. The toilet seats in the bathroom are high up now so that's great for people who can't sit down on low seats.

Excellent as always.

Clean, staff in the office was super friendly, and was an easy drive to Moab. There isn't anything in Green River (a couple gas stations and a very small grocery store), but if you're just staying a couple nights it's great and avoids the crowds in Moab.

This is a busy campground! Make sure if you reserve online that you know what you're getting as I ended up in a space without cable and there was no wiggle-room in the reservations to move to another spot. Good dog park, clean bathrooms, relatively quiet with the exception of a crowd of mooing cows a couple nights. Accommodating staff. They have room to grow.

The only bad things we experienced was a cabin porch light being on the whole time even though no one was staying there. It made it hard to sleep in out tent.

Nice staff. Camp sites spread out OK, not great but OK. Could use some more gravel in places so we didn't have to walk in actual dirt.

Will not stay again.

We typically camp in a more Northern area (i.e one with trees) which might impact our expectations. We stayed in a newer section with no vegetation. The older area has some trees and shade, but the one tree in our spot was about 5-6 feet tall and looked like it was dead. Hosts were very friendly and helpful which was great. Overall, the park was average.

Nice place to camp.

Facility need upgrading. Trees all dead or dying and grass dead. Electric hook up looked like it had been shorted. When we took cover off sewer/ dump hook up smell was horrific. Needs servicing or something.

We based in Green River for our Arches, Canyonland and Dead Horse excursions since Moab was completely booked 3 months in advance. This is a well run KOA, with spacious, level sites, clean restrooms and a terrific restaurant next door. No real ambiance, and a bit dusty, but you're not likely to be spending a lot of time in the park anyway with all the attractions 45 minutes away.

Only one employee wore a mask while working the front counter. Each guest I encountered had a mask on but the employee did not. This made me uncomfortable as I had no choice but to interact with this person. I wouldn’t have stayed here had I known they wouldn’t be wearing masks in an enclosed area.

Very crowded tent area

Over priced, dirty, non helpful staff. We smelled a dead skunk very close to our camper. My husband reported it to the person at the front desk, his reply was “what do you want me to do about it”. Advice: KEEP ON GOING! Never again! Worst KOA ever!!

Very nice and comfortable, front desk was very helpful

“Tent sites” surrounded the playground and horseshoe area so we woke up early to kids screaming and metal clanging. Both toilets in the men’s restroom were full, like completely full of feces that appeared to have been there a while (couple days?) and would not flush. This is nowhere near the experience we thought to be standard at KOA campgrounds.

Great staff, clean campground, spotless bathrooms

The staff was so friendly, nice and helpful with checkin, ideas of places to go nearby and misc other things. Laundry was clean. Campsites for the backins are nicely separated. Quiet. Wore masks in store. Nice variety of cabins too. Overall great two nights. About 45 min to Arches/Canyonlands(but no Moab traffic!!!) andc45 min to goblin park.

Nice staff.

No maintenance at all

Good location. Town attractions including historical museum are very close. Convenient to nearby National Parks.

The patio was perfect for our week stay.

Some trees would make this more pleasant and help with the wind. Wi fi connection was poor Shower was dirty

Owners were great and very accommodating! Had to leave early because of higher winds coming and they credited us!

This park was very quiet. We like the remote location and they kept everything really clean.

Great stay. Great people.

So peaceful!

The only issue I had was not being able to get the lights in the onsite showers to come on, and I saw no obvious switches for them.

Very friendly, helpful staff! Enjoyed the convenience of the location.

Good facilities and location. Staff is friendly and works hard to keep everything humming along.
Oct 12, 2020
Excellent location and service. Clean. My only wish is that the sites would have had more gravel to keep more of the dust at bay.

Love this KOA for its location. Had a great stay again exploring. Only downside continues to be the facilities. The bathrooms did not seem to get cleaned the 3 days we were there. Same hairs in the sinks, same TP on the floor etc throughout the entire stay. The sign on the office door asks visitors to adhere to COVID social distancing measures including masks yet staff does not adhere to that.

First KOA experience, enjoyed it quite a bit. We were troubled by the lack of enforcement of rules. Also at night there would be a very strong smell of marijuana (still very illegal in Utah). Kids would start being very loud on the playground at 6 am and well past dusk. The staff was friendly, the campground clean, and all amenities appeared to be in working order.
Oct 12, 2020
Friendly staff. Kept the bathrooms clean. Plenty of hot water for showering. One improvement would be to add some more grassy areas and/or pave some of the roads. It got very windy and super dusty because there was nothing to really control the dirt flying around.

May be okay for RVs, but tent sites are between an interior road and a motel parking lot, with exterior lights shining on us and cars coming/going all night. We were on the end between the dog area and playground -- noisy, smelly, and no privacy. Plus the area stinks like cow pasture (not KOA's fault, but it will keep us away). Clean women's bathroom (+ hot shower!); filthy men's.

Love the rv park and the staff

Very friendly staff, clean bathrooms. Central in Green river. About 45 to Arches, 1 hour to Moab, 1 hour to canyonlands. If you can't find anything closer this was a great location. We stayed 2 nights.

Update: We always stay here on our annual trip to the west coast. Have never had a bad experience. They added more spaces, and it's made the park even nicer. Just a quick one night stay, but liked the place. Requested a back in space instead because there were large, shade trees there in the 102 degree day. Probably the largest space we've ever parked in. Decent grassy area out our door. The pull throughs didn't have the grass, so it was another reason to request a back in. Large pool for a KOA, 8 foot deep, took a quick swim. Didn't go into the bathrooms, or laundry room, so I can't comment as to those. Amazing WiFi for an RV park. Granted there weren't many people there, but it was a nice change. Would most definitely stay again passing through. EDIT: Did stay here again while passing through. A great, little oasis in the Utah desert. Went into the bathroom/shower area this time, and it was clean, and very usable.
