1861 through 1865 were some of the most trying times for our region and our nation, as the Civil War ripped apart the United States of America and the lives of so many families.Through Collectors' Eyes: Treasures of the Civil War features the John and Isabelle Murphy Confederate Firearms Collection. This display is a must for those interested in the distinctive style of these antique firearms. It features over 150 fine examples of longarms from every major Confederate armory. For those who crave works of art, the exhibit includes contemporary paintings by Don Troiani, and is supplemented by Civil War artifacts from our permanent collection.
