What a great location for family and everyone. David, the owner is super helpful and nice. The property is a little older but the animals visit makes everything special.

Best dog park I’ve found at any KOA park!!! True animal lovers. Some of the sites on the east side are tight for space but livable. Kids have a good opportunity to experience farm animals. We will return!

Management is very nice, but park has many maintenance needs - some of which are guest safety concerns. For example, in women's restroom -- moldy and mildewed ceiling area, exposed and nonworking electrical fixtures. In mini-cabin uncovered electrical plug that is shock hazard. The park is purposely short staffed last 6 weeks of season. Also, every KOA offers recycling except this one.

Very nice place with grass. They keep this place immaculate. The staff is friendly and welcoming. This campground is one of the best we have ever stayed at. Highly recommend if you in the area to stay here. We stayed 11 days in a motorhone.

The campground has a somewhat weird parking arrangement but otherwise it is very nice. Mosquitos can be a problem though. The dog area is larger than some with plenty of room play.

Every thing so well taken care of. Nice and green. Pretty young lady gave us really good advice about a breakfast place!!! Goats fun.

The hosts of this KOA were extremely nice. The cooktop in our cabin did not work properly and we were unable to use it cook our food, which we had planned to use. We had to use the grill for everything, which isn't always the best method depending on what you're cooking.

Two weeks stay. Been returning to Gunnison KOA for 12 yrs. Always a positive experience. Dave is the best. Takes care of his people as well as the grounds

Check in was easy and the front desk staff was very nice. They were also very accommodating when I had an issue with 30amp hookup compatibility. They searched their open spots and moved me to a 50amp site and didn’t charge me for the upgrade. Next time I’m in Gunnison, I will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed the stay, but could've used a shade spot on the green grass, and perhaps access to a couple more/better amenities such as improved WiFi, and better than local TV (cable). For folks that are working while on the road :), those would be great perks. We'll be back. The husband already wants to return just to get away from the allergies where we live, not to mention the great Gunny fishing. :D

They have goats and donkeys running free in the campground. While sitting on the picnic table enjoying a snack a group of goats came running over looking for a handout. One goat climbed up on the table and nearly made off with my bag of chips. The others left thier marks by peeing and pooing all around our campsite. I guess I do not think it cute to walk through goat poo and track it into my RV.

Everything was great until one of the goats came into our cabin and then rammed my son in the stomach and slashed him across the stomach with his horns. They shouldn't have wild animals roaming around if it's not safe for children. Very traumatic expexperience for my 4 year old son. Be cautious if you have young children. I have them a 2 star because everything else was ok.

We enjoyed this park immensely. Owner was friendly & helpful. Beautiful location. Will definitely plan to come back. Wish they offered seasonal camping.

friendly people and well kept & clean grounds.... other than the C17 Military cargo plane that was practicing landing/take offs...it was a good location. The young man checking us in was Great.... I'll be back!

It was great as always. Well maintained sites and great staff. Would have given you a 5 if it weren’t for the fact that very closed to us there was a camper with a Trump/Pence sign in front of their campground and in clear view of all. Regardless of how one feels about politics; in my opinion, there is no place for politics in ANY CAMPGROUND, thank you!

This was our second stay at the Gunnison KOA. We had a great spot and enjoyed our stay. We will be staying there again in the future

I loved my stay. Enjoyed the animals. I do want to let people know with dogs if they go to the other side of the airplane landing there is a nice dog park. I found it on my way out of town. I enjoyed the dog off leash area at KOA but people seemed to want their dogs to be the only one in the area. Loved all the grass and shade available. Really nice campground I would stay again.

Lots of fun and in a nice area with trees, a small pond and a running river. Prices at their small market are amazing, they do not try to take advantage of a captured audience. Looking forward to returning however longer next time.

We only stayed one night as a stop-over but the location was great. Far enough away from the main road that the campground was quiet. The grassy sites were nice and watching the free range goats was great! It wasn't that far of a walk to the Gunnison River where it was fun to watch the kayakers and listen to the river.

We rented a “mini cabin”. It was on a stagnant pond with piles of broken concrete and other debris stacked up outside. You had to hike between two ponds to get to the bathrooms, the longest walk I have ever had to make to the restrooms at a KOA. The mini cabins were cheaply constructed, with barely any room between the beds. Not even a garbage can, just a plastic bag. Broken windows. To be avo

I love KOAs, but this one was exceptional - not gonna lie, mainly because there's a petting zoo, and our site was directly across from the lovely and soft donkeys :) But seriously, great location, clean, quiet. A gem!

Unique with the donkeys and goats walking around, but the super nice and even dog friendly… they stay to the perimeter, not in your site. Very friendly staff, big sites, very little airplane noise, not an issue.. two thumbs up!!

This place is just amazing!! Beautiful central location to see the sites in this area of Colorado. Great park with decent spacing between sites, grass (not dirt lot). The staff is so friendly and thoughtful. We've stayed here 2x and never disappointed.
