I stayed two nights in a camping cabin, with my dogs. The cabin is basic. It was a short walk to the bathroom, showers, which are well lit at night.The staff are helpful and friendly. Overall it was very pleasant and relaxing.

I had called prior to booking thr night to specifically ask about a heater in the small A frame cabin. I was assured each had an electric heater. When I arrived late in the evening, the cabin had no heater. I went to Walmart and bought an electric blanket. I was refunded the cost of the stay the next morning to help cover the cost of my blanket and inconvenience. They were very cordial.

I loved the goats and donkeys on the property. They were very entertaining. And the large trees make it very inviting and pleasant. Grounds were very clean and staff was incredibly friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone!

My only issue was that the bed pads are really worn out. I’ve stayed at a dozen different KOA’s over the last few months and these pads did not provide the same sleeping experience as every other place. My body was actually sore after a night on them and i could feel the wood straight through the pad. I doubled up the pads On the second night and that was A bit better.

Our cabin was clean. The folks in the office were very friendly and helpful. The grounds were impressive, covered in plush green grass. The place is very well cared for, and we’ll drive 4 hours to visit again.

Gunnison KOA is the first KOA we stayed at years ago. They introduced us to this style of camping. We love their sweet animals our kids love visiting. We try to always get at least one night every camping season at Gunnison KOA.

Great hospitality. Love the animals. The grounds could be kept up a bit better. Broken tree limbs that had fallen on picnic tables and around cabins and broken picnic bench covered with broken tree branches. Has great potential to be top 5 star. Just a little more heart. All and all we would come back and cheering it on for greatness!

This is an awesome campground. I stayed for 8 nights. Very friendly staff and the local animals were always fun to pet and watch play. I will be staying at this campground again in the future. Thank you!

The scenery was great and the animals would be a plus for kids but the cabin was a little dated, the shower was too shallow and leaked onto the floor and we had to buy a cover for the front door window. The people were very nice but it may be time for some updates.

We had a great experience at the Gunnison KOA. Friendly staff, clean amenities, and fun animals! We slept in the camper cabins and had a great experience! Would definitely recommend.

Had 2 major safety issues . The first one was with the portable heater ,when I tried to plug the heater in I received a pretty good shock from the heater and the back of the unit had a burn mark from the bad cord. The second issue was that there was no smoke detector in the cabin.

The only complaint is the mattress in our cabin was old & worn, to the point the gravitational pull puts you slumped in the middle of the bed. Not a restful night. Besides that it’s very nice and staff is friendly.

Loved the location, workers were very friendly. Glad we upgraded to a cabin instead of the 2 person sleepers, as there was construction on the pond in front of them, and it wouldn’t have been relaxing. The animals made the stay more fun, just make sure you close your car hatch when loading the car, or a goat might jump in and give you a stinky souvenir you weren’t expecting! �

Management is very nice, but park has many maintenance needs - some of which are guest safety concerns. For example, in women's restroom -- moldy and mildewed ceiling area, exposed and nonworking electrical fixtures. In mini-cabin uncovered electrical plug that is shock hazard. The park is purposely short staffed last 6 weeks of season. Also, every KOA offers recycling except this one.

The hosts of this KOA were extremely nice. The cooktop in our cabin did not work properly and we were unable to use it cook our food, which we had planned to use. We had to use the grill for everything, which isn't always the best method depending on what you're cooking.

Everything was great until one of the goats came into our cabin and then rammed my son in the stomach and slashed him across the stomach with his horns. They shouldn't have wild animals roaming around if it's not safe for children. Very traumatic expexperience for my 4 year old son. Be cautious if you have young children. I have them a 2 star because everything else was ok.

We rented a “mini cabin”. It was on a stagnant pond with piles of broken concrete and other debris stacked up outside. You had to hike between two ponds to get to the bathrooms, the longest walk I have ever had to make to the restrooms at a KOA. The mini cabins were cheaply constructed, with barely any room between the beds. Not even a garbage can, just a plastic bag. Broken windows. To be avo

You should say on your website that you have farm animals roaming around the site, we had two aussies that could not be good guests due to this. Never would have booked at your site had we known. :( Bathrooms also closed early and we had to leave without showers...no accomodations were offered when we offered the both insights.

Really enjoyed the stay in the A frame cabin. Internet was a little flaky the first day or two but the remainder of the trip it was perfect. Enjoyed seeing donkeys and goats as we walked around the site. We will come back and stay longer to enjoy more of the area.

We only stayed for a brief moment but..it was great! Beautiful grounds well kept, the owner was Soo nice! Easy check in and out. The animals were a absolute bounus. Felt safe. Well worth dropping by just to say you did. Thanks you! We will be seeing you again.

The stay was excellent. If I have a single comment, when you cut there fire wood, cut to smaller pieces for burning. Not everyone has axes and wedges etc.... would move you from a 9 to a 10.

The staff person was friendly, the restrooms clean, the donkeys and goats were a fun addition. Showers were hot, but one of the three showers in the ladies restroom was out of order. We stayed in an A-frame cabin, which was what was advertised, but it was located on the edge of a pond-turned swamp. This made the mosquitoes a huge problem, spoiling our visit.

Everything about this KOA is spectacular from the moment you step into the office, throughout your stay (Donkey's! Goats!) and up to checkout. We'll be back for sure!

I love KOAs, but this one was exceptional - not gonna lie, mainly because there's a petting zoo, and our site was directly across from the lovely and soft donkeys :) But seriously, great location, clean, quiet. A gem!

Unique with the donkeys and goats walking around, but the super nice and even dog friendly… they stay to the perimeter, not in your site. Very friendly staff, big sites, very little airplane noise, not an issue.. two thumbs up!!

This place is just amazing!! Beautiful central location to see the sites in this area of Colorado. Great park with decent spacing between sites, grass (not dirt lot). The staff is so friendly and thoughtful. We've stayed here 2x and never disappointed.
