This place is awesome! The staff is congenial and helpful, and the animals are fun to have around. It's a great location close to tons of recreation. Didn't use the restroom this time, but from past experience, they are clean.

The grassy areas were nice but filled with mosquitoes; very little shade. Overall it’s seems well maintained. It served my need for one night in route to another longer stay.

Our stay was peaceful and fun. The campground has a welcoming atmosphere and the property is very clean and well kept. We plan to stay at the Gunnison KOA again.

People with dogs should know you will have to deal with roaming donkey and goats, nice gimmick but not when your dogs may eat their craps. Also early morning plane departures since the campground is next to the airport.

Loved the grass and large sites. The animals on the grounds are wonderful. It is hard to get to the dog area, but it is a nice pet area. Great location. Good service as well.

Very busy KOA. The staff was all very friendly. There's only one set of showers and bathrooms; the ladies room were clean and functional, my son said the men's room were in need of repair and better cleaning. Fairly roomy RV/camper sites. Overall clean campground. I'm not certain that the pond is currently stocked, but the goats and donkeys are entertaining.

This KOA is the best and funniest KOA we’ve ever stayed at. The staff is awesome and the kids love it. Close to all the fun in Gunnison’s and the kids love it. The farm animals on property are so cool and add to the entertainment and feel to the place. It’s like a small farm and camp site. If anyone says anything negative about this KOA they are flat wrong!

Wonderful location, people and surprises like Ginny the donkey. Very well cared for green grass, as pretty my backyard. Dave and crew took excellent care of us!

Beautifully maintained and the farm animals are a great addition. The military flyovers are new this year and really detract from the nice camping experience. At least this last time, they didn't start at 6:30 am, like last time.

nice grassy areas, loved the animals. Can't wait for your expansion to be all done. Lots of work though. All good. Meet other campers, place allowed that intermixing so easily.

No WiFi, as promised. Goats invaded our picnic table during dinner, so we had to grab our food, because they jumped on the table.

This is the most unique campground I've stayed at to date. Lost of grass! The animals wandering around the park was priceless, begging for handouts, etc. The goats and donkeys were a kick, and the kids loved them. The grassy pen for animals is a great photo op for kids to brush the animals. I couldn't believe how docile the animals were with kids. You have something special at Gunnison KOA.

Very pretty, loved the level, green grass. Loved seeing the goats and burros strolling about while seeing kids riding bicycles around. Very pet friendly. Most people were respectful about masks. Loved how often the bathrooms were cleaned and the ability to clean them ourselves before/after our own use.

Showers were powerful and both bathrooms were clean. The dishwashing area had hot water which was nice. The internet was out most of our stay which we didn’t like, but it’s supposed to be repaired Monday, Aug. 3. We’ll probably be back.

Our Experience SUCKED and our vacation was ruined! Site was a mud puddle. This park has a serious flooding problem. in the morning there was 3 inches of water 12 to 40 feet on all sides of the coach. We left and had to have our carpet cleaned from the water damage. The site sucked! The owners should be ashamed of themselves for renting space that is subject to filling up with water.

We love going up to Gunnison and staying a week up there Dave is a great host and does a great job taking care of the place the kids love the animals and there's always something to do up there love it good job Dave

Wonderful campground! Very clean and loved the animals!! The only reason you aren’t receiving 5 stars is because of the mosquito problem. Our site was next to a small pond and the mosquitos were so bad we couldn’t sit outside. You really need to spray/mitigate, as this isn’t only a nuisance it’s a health concern for your guests.

It is a grass facility. Many potholes filled with rainwater. No picnic table, but several piled up behind our unit; along with a 5 ft spool of heavy cable. Was the most uncomfortable KOA at which we have stayed.

I'm new to RV camping and this was my first KOA stay. I loved the animals and the staff was very friendly. The nearby open space was a pleasant surprise because I'm a jeep owner, and we got some mountain biking in as well. Gunnison is a fun town and we ate at the Gunnysack twice while there. Can't wait to come back!

We had no idea the Gunnison KOA was right next to an airport. We enjoyed watching the free ranging goats.

Beautiful area, loved the grass. Perfect place for dogs. Enjoyed the goats and the donkeys, enjoyed watching the planes land and take off. Very nice stay. Will definitely come back.

The koa was lovely and overall we enjoyed our stay. Our kids enjoyed visiting the animals on the premise. However the farm animals were allowed to roam Freely which meant we had goats and a pig come through the camp. We weren’t too happy about the goat poop in our campsite. The park could use maintenance and blocked from the goats. Loved the spacious campsites and views!

We love the Gunnison KOA! The grounds are lovely. We appreciate that the sites are well spaced and there are trees at many. There did seem to be more noise this year fro traffic at the airport but it wouldn’t keep me from staying again. The kids and adults all enjoy the animals and the visits from the goats made us laugh!

The campsites were too close together to feel like camping-- it felt more like a hotel. We also didn't know that there would be aircraft early in the morning. It wasn't the cleanest KOA I have stayed at.

Front desk personnel are very knowledgeable and professional, not to mention their great attitudes. The park is very nice with lots of trees, nearby streams and donkeys and goats on-site which is great for the kids

I was disappointed that Jennie was penned up after one complaint was written. I am a disabled vet that has severe chronic PTSD and have problems communicating with people. Jennie was in my campground every morning and my service dog took a real liking to her. I don't think that one complaint of someone that couldn't pick up the phone and ask for the poo to be cleaned up justifies being penned up.

We love the big grassy sights so we can play croquette. Thank you for letting us reserve specific sights. One concern is Covid related Too many people in the bathroom to allow social distancing. Perhaps limit tent camping since that is their only option. Also bathroom cleaning times starting at 11 would allow for campers to hit the road with an empty bladder. Love seeing Norman fed him a bottle.

What really mad me mad was the 2pm check in. Iam sure it was on the reservation which I missed. When I was told I could park at Wall Mart but I needed to leave the property. Other than this the koa was a nice place to stay. I am planning on returning the end of August for 3 days. I wont check in before 2

I love KOAs, but this one was exceptional - not gonna lie, mainly because there's a petting zoo, and our site was directly across from the lovely and soft donkeys :) But seriously, great location, clean, quiet. A gem!

Unique with the donkeys and goats walking around, but the super nice and even dog friendly… they stay to the perimeter, not in your site. Very friendly staff, big sites, very little airplane noise, not an issue.. two thumbs up!!

This place is just amazing!! Beautiful central location to see the sites in this area of Colorado. Great park with decent spacing between sites, grass (not dirt lot). The staff is so friendly and thoughtful. We've stayed here 2x and never disappointed.
