We absolutely loved this KOA. The grass ground really help when traveling with pets. Endless things for kids to do. Sweet staff. We spent 5 nights here, used the laundry facilities and even their bathrooms a few times instead of our rv. Very clean. Wonderful stay! The only downside was mosquitoes were absolutely terrible but that’s obviously not up to them. Petting zoo was a highlight for my kid

Really enjoyed our stay at Gunnison KOA! Staff was very friendly & helpful. Beautiful campground, with very spacious sites & very well kept up. Wish we had more time here.. would definitely stay here again!

While the campground is clean and everything works, it is over priced for the full hookup sites which are very close together. We are not campers but travelers and simply need a safe, clean site with hookups, we don't use other amenities nor spend much time at campgrounds however would have been nice to have more space or even some shade at this price point.

Always enjoy this place. Fun animals. Good wifi. Unfortunately, this visit found us in the back, which is normally a great spot, but there is so much dirt on a site that is advertised as a "grassy" site. When it rains, and it did the last night, then you are in a mud pit. Not fun packing up the camper with muddy items. Knocked down a star for that, but management did give a discount.

Generally a really nice KOA. GREAT staff, nice little store, clean showers/restrooms and grounds, terrific proximity to Gunnison and beautiful scenery, fishing, and rafting. 2 small negatives: shore power 120v was broken, although 30A worked fine, and the camp is right next to the small airport, so expect a turboprop wake up around 6am from time to time. Still, I'd not hesitate to stay here again.

I was very pleasantly surprised. Not that I was expecting anything bad, but it was very convenient and comfortable. We will be happy to stay here again!

I LOVED the grassy site we had with lots of shade (north side). WIFI was best so far! I understand some things are out of your control and that you are busy making improvements, but the mosquitoes drove me nuts and the campground looks very untidy right now. I look forward to seeing things after they are completed. I miss the paddle boats, fishing and other fun activities.

Store, bathhouse and some xampsites flood with light rain, poir drainage. Dump doesnt have a working hose.

We stayed in site “P” on 7/2 to 7/6/2021 and loved the camp ground. We did experience power problems during our entire stay. The voltage was very low and we could only run one AC at a time with everything thing else turned off.

One of the better KOA’s we’ve stayed at. Clean restrooms, great layout for rv’s and tent campers, good wi-fi and tv reception, friendly staff with a cool gift shop. It’s in a beautiful location out of town, but close enough to town if you need a restaurant or auto store. We enjoyed Gunnison KOA!

Love the green grass and the wider spaces. It a beautiful, safe campground with lots for kids to do. We appreciate Dave and Susie, they go a live and beyond to make sure guests are happy. Great place to stay.

While the workers were friendly and helpful, I did have a few issues with the campground. We made our reservation for two weeks and did not realize until we arrived that our site was a shared site. There was no indication of this when we made our reservations. While we may enjoy visiting with other campers, we also do like to have some privacy. This campground was also a mosquito haven.

First time we’ve ever been there with sooo many 40+ foot Class A’s around :-( So much rain has meant it’s pretty muddy and grass has suffered. We love this KOA, but more so when not so much mowing noise, lake filling in with heavy equipment beep beeping, constant watering to keep grass alive. Guess we need to remember to come during the shoulder seasons.

The staff at Gunnison KOA have been extremely accomodating, helpful, and very friendly. The grounds are very well kept and the crew are always working to keep everything beautiful. I am here for the summer, and they have made me feel right at home. I plan on spending next summer here as well. Many thanks to Dave and the rest of the crew.

Unfortunately it rained everyday and sites got very muddy. I think putting some rock in would be helpful. Picnic tables are broken and barely usable. Weather is beyond their control but being prepared for it is necessary the owners are very nice people

Gunnison KOA is a lovely place to stay- lots of grass and space between sites and nice shade! They work very hard to keep it looking great! Bathrooms are clean, too. We enjoyed the burrows and goats, too!

This is our third stay at this RV park and we are already planning our visit for next summer. We like the location, friendly and helpful staff, the grassy RV areas and, of course, the farm animals. We even had a picture of us with Jenny the donkey on one of our Christmas cards!

The staff are always friendly and nice to talk with. The grass campsites are always nice, but not as nice as in the past, maybe because of the drought. The WiFi was OK, but the Internet was usually dropping out. It seems that most campgrounds don't ensure that the satellite dish for the Internet stays properly aligned. The farm animals at the campground are always something to look forward to.

Camping spots were horrible they just keep watering and watering it felt like a swamp! The mosquitoes where horrible and I think a lot had to do with all the water they were using, even watering the road. They had washers and dryers, only one washer worked and no dryers worked. Went to the store to get a cup of coffee or something to drink they only sold cans. Worse KOA I have ever stayed at!!

I absolutely love this campground! I’ve stayed here twice just “passing through” but next time I think I’ll spend an extra night and enjoy the lovely surroundings, the adorable animals that roam the property, and the friendly staff. Wonderful!

Mosquitoes were extremely bad. There is a lot of water (most standing or slow moving) around the camp area. Pond is near stagnant - needs aeration. Grass heavily watered despite severe drought. Bathrooms fine and in good condition (except dead bugs). Store/check-in fine. Farm animals on-site for entertainment, but some not in good condition. (E.g., the donkeys really needed their feet trimmed.)

I love KOAs, but this one was exceptional - not gonna lie, mainly because there's a petting zoo, and our site was directly across from the lovely and soft donkeys :) But seriously, great location, clean, quiet. A gem!

Unique with the donkeys and goats walking around, but the super nice and even dog friendly… they stay to the perimeter, not in your site. Very friendly staff, big sites, very little airplane noise, not an issue.. two thumbs up!!

This place is just amazing!! Beautiful central location to see the sites in this area of Colorado. Great park with decent spacing between sites, grass (not dirt lot). The staff is so friendly and thoughtful. We've stayed here 2x and never disappointed.
