Meet Your Hosts

Lynda And Christine

We will see you around the campfire!

In 1948, a spark of inspiration ignited when Great Grandpa Carlson returned from the West, where he discovered the charm of "Motor Hotels." With a vision in mind, he built the Itascan Motel in Grand Rapids, MN, setting off a delightful tradition that has blossomed through the generations. Each family member, from Lynda and her daughter Christine to Gramps and Grams, has embraced this legacy, welcoming guests with open arms and hearts full of hospitality. Now, at Harrison KOA Holiday, they blend this rich family history with a passion for the great outdoors, inviting you to experience the breathtaking beauty and adventure of the Ozark Mountains. So, gather your loved ones, pack the family pup, and get ready to create unforgettable memories around the campfire—where laughter, stories, and s'mores await! Remember, at KOA, every guest is part of our family, and we can't wait to share this incredible journey with you!
Like Gramps always says:  "Who has more fun than people!"
