Spent a night traveling through and we will be back for sure, the most beautiful KOA we have ever seen to date

Beautiful setting, very relaxing. One of the nicest KOAs we have visited. People are very friendly. The problems are the same as they are with most KOAs: the internet (wifi) is terrible, and the lack of cable means we're watching reruns of old shows forever ... and how many Law and Orders can one actually watch? :-)) But we'd definitely stay here again!

Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Hopefully in the near future we will have better wifi and cable. Unfortunately, our area is slow to run cable and fiber optics but we are told that it is coming soon. Fingers crossed!

It's a very peaceful place and great new places. Pitty there is only one showerplace on the whole campground, that was in perfect condition but a very long way to walk. In the evenings the campground was covered with a layer of dens smoke which made it hard to breath and it lasted all night. We felt sick from it and could not find a source but it was not from the campfires.

We hope you will come back again. We have just completed architectural plans for a new bathhouse, additional laundry, outdoor kitchen, and dog wash at the pool pavilion. We are sorry you were bothered by smoke. We did sell a lot of firewood and when nights are still it can linger for a long time.

We had a great stay for a week. Our first experience in an organized RV site was a great one. Great site/utilities and great staff!

This is a very nice KOA. Good for all size Motorhomes. I would have given them a 5 but they need to do some work on the roads. They said they just purchased the equipment but they were waiting for the rains to stop. I would highly recommend this KOA.

Very quiet location without being too far out of town. Great location for taking day trips in any direction to take in the sites. Owners and staff are the best we ever encountered. The park is clean and very well maintained.

The camp host was extremely helpful on the phone . It was a little difficult to get to but very quiet . Overall a very nice park !

Our children really enjoyed the playground, the clubhouse and the fishing pond. The park was very nicely laid out with plenty of pleasant campers. We found the laundry facility and restrooms very tidy and clean. The new owners are doing a great job with this new KOA in the woods. Just lovely! Our only criticism is the rough road coming in, but I know that is on their agenda to fix.

This is a hidden gem’ The facilities were so clean and well maintained, the staff were incredibly helpful and kind. And e views were spectacular! One of the best campgrounds we have visited.

We were thankful for such a nice campground to stay at while working in the area. The pull throughs are very nice. The only thing I noticed the water pressure isn't the best. Other than that we will definitely come back when we are working again in the area. Thank you!

Nice park. Loved the ducks/geese all around the park. Propane fill worked out well as temps fell to about 19 degrees. Friendly people.

Everyone was so helpful. My RV site was gravel, but it was level, I needed no blocks! It was close to the facilities but still quiet. There were plenty of green spaces to walk my dog. The RVs were not all crowded together, I felt like I had my own "space". The patio and picnic table were clean. I wish I were staying for more than one night, I will be back! Thank you.

Staff was outstanding and very accommodating. We have a 44 ft class a pulling a pickup and they have a great pull through that will handle it. Just an overnight stay but will return again. Great place and great staff.

This is a beautiful park! A small lake, a nice bridge to walk over the lake to the dog park. The dog park is nice. Has grass which is always a plus!! The staff & owners r extremely nice & welcoming. I’ve stayed here a couple of times. Will definitely n going back.

The folks here are so friendly, professional and helpful. Stayed a couple nights pull thru 61 level asphalt. The fishing lakes are peaceful. Miles of walking areas. There are lots of roads signs to guide you in and its a good thing bc my gps was about 1.5mi short. The exit driveway is a little bumpy so go slow. Upgrades in progress. I used the laundry bathrooms showers, worked great very clean.

Not your typical KOA, this place has the acreage of a large city park. Everything is well laid out and maintained. It rained once while we were there and we saw that the park had good drainage and practically no muddy topsoil. There was no sign of mud in places where water standing, cars did not have muddy tires, and your shoes didn’t track mud. This kind of site condition is pretty rare.

Although this property is slightly remote it is very well kept, friendly, quiet, and a pleasant place to stay. our only disappointment was that the internet service, which we needed for business, was not usable during our stay due to continual dropped or poor connection.

This is a wonderful campground with a very friendly and helpful staff. Even in this "off season" they did what they could to have activities despite the weather. My one negative about this place, very narrow roads and causeways that can make driving there a bit on the "white knuckle" side if you have a big rig. Otherwise, our family looks forward to returning if we pass that way again.

Love this beautiful park and it's friendly staff. Would like to see some recycle bins though, but I do plan on coming back!

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately our county and waste providers do not have recycling programs. We have been looking into what we can do at the campground level and hopefully will have solutions in the near future. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.

Nicely maintained, quiet and very helpful staff. They do need more than 2 showers in the men’s side. Bathrooms were extremely clean with good heat ( there during a recent cold spell) and ample hot water. You can tell the owners and staff care about their jobs and guests.

Level pull thru with all the service; park is spotless overlooking a fishing lake; the owners are making constant improvements and the end result will be one of the most lovely KOAs in the country! Will definitely return and highly recommend!!!

Had an amazing experience at the campground! The staff and everyone there were all very kind and helpful with anything I needed. They have great ponds for fishing, as well as very clean showers and bathrooms. Will definitely be returning in the future!

Stayed here for a few days on a road trip, the cabin was pretty nice, campground was clean and quiet. Owners were friendly and welcoming.

Spent Christmas week at Okatoma River KOA. The campground was great, clean and Marty and his crew were friendly and very welcoming. Would recommend staying there to anyone heading to that area. Just easy to get to Laurel and New Orleans from that spot.
