Lake Isabella / Kern River KOA Journey General Information

Most people like dogs, but they must be on a leash while at the KOA.
Please do not leave your pets unattended.
Dogs should be walked in the pet walk. Please clean up after your pet while on the pet walk trail.
Pet litter must be picked up by owner.
Tent and RV sites, pets are free.
Cabin rentals have a $45 pet charge per visit.

Campers, please note that the water available at Lake Isabella / Kern River KOA is non-potable and not suitable for drinking. This helps us ensure everyone's safety while maintaining the campground's natural resources. The water is still perfectly fine for washing, cleaning, and other campsite needs, and we encourage you to bring your own drinking water or use appropriate filtration. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep the campground a safe and enjoyable place for all!

Are you looking for a place to spend your Winter?  Lake Isabella/Kern River is offering month-to-month stays December through April for RV'ers.  Call for more information 760-378-2001 everyday 8:00AM - 5:00PM Daily.

If you need to cancel your reservation, please call the campground @ 760-378-2001 before the deadlines below to receive a refund of your deposit, less a $20.00 administrative fee. Text and email notifications of cancellations will not be accepted.

Cancellation Deadlines:
RV & Tent Sites: You must give 7 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 12:00 PM, 7 days before your scheduled arrival.
Lodging & Accommodations:  You must give 14 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 12:00 PM, 14 days before your scheduled arrival. For guests booking accommodations in California, a full refund will be given for reservations canceled within 24 hours of booking, provided the arrival date is at least 72 hours after the time of booking.

Cancellation Details:
Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits.
Cancellations made after the deadlines will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.
No refunds are given due to the discomforts of nature, including no-shows and early checkouts.
Refunds will be processed using the original credit/debit card, with no exceptions.
The cancellation policy may be amended during a regional/National travel disruption.
Holidays and special events may have unique deposit and /or cancellation requirements. Please check with your selected KOA for details.

Pool Hours are 10:00 AM TO 10:00 PM for the Summer months. Anyone under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult. Also, a 16-year-old cannot watch younger siblings - anyone under 16 needs Adult Supervision. We do not have a lifeguard on duty.

Visitors:  You may have visitors during the day, but they may not spend the night and are not permitted to use our facilities. They must also park in the overflow parking with a car pass. Visitors Hours 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM.

Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM until 8:00 AM - These are strictly enforced. We want to make sure that everyone has a wonderful camping experience. Please follow this rule.

WE ARE LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF WELDON.  WE ARE 15 MINUTES TO THE TOWN OF LAKE ISABELLA AND ABOUT 10 MINUTES FROM YOUR FIRST ENTRANCE TO THE LAKE WHICH IS PARADISE COVE.  WE ARE ALSO 14 MILES FROM THE KERN RIVER.  .  

WE HAVE FLUSHING TOILETS, SHOWERS, A  STORE, POOL AND A PUB.

WE ALSO HAVE VOLLEYBALL, ROCK PAINTING, SOCCER BALLS, TETHER BALL AND CORN HOLE.  COME UP TO THE OFFICE AND CHECK ANY OF THESE ITEMS OUT !!

BLM LAND IS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET.  EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO BRING THEIR OFF ROAD VEHICLES.

Do be cautious with fire, especially when windy. Our trees are precious. Please do not initial, hack, carve, or otherwise disfigure them or feed them cooking grease or gray water.

Swimming is at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Pets or glass containers of any kind are prohibited in the pool area at all times. Pool hours are 10:00AM to 9:00PM and adult supervision is required for children under 16 in the pool and restrooms. Pool is open seasonally from May 1st to September 30th.

We do offer Early Check In 11:00AM to 2:30PM and Late Check Out 11:00 AM to 1:30PM with an additional fee of $25.00. This will be applied automatically with online check in before 2:30pm.

Please do not hang wet towels/clothing on the rails. No smoking in any cabin or lodge. No cooking is allowed inside the cabins. Please feel free to use our camper kitchen. There is a $45 pet fee for animals brought into any of our cabins.

We have bare-bone cabins. Our one-room bare-bone cabin has a queen bed and a bunk bed in the same room.  The two-bedroom bare-bone cabins have a queen bed in the front room and two sets of bunk beds in the second room.

Camping cabins = Bare Bone cabins: Have no restrooms. One-room cabins sleep 4, and the Two-room cabins sleep 6.

Deluxe cabins: Deluxe cabins have restrooms,  the main bedroom comes with linens, bunk beds, lofts and sofa couches do not come with linens.  Please bring your own from home.  The kitchenette inside each deluxe cabin has a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, silverware and plates. There is no cooking allowed inside the building. 
We have a kitchenette that all guests are welcome to use.  Please feel free to bring your BBQ. All sites have a fire pit.

Please observe your campsite boundaries. Do not walk through others' campground areas. Go Around. Please devote extra consideration to the Quiet Hours from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am . Please have consideration for your neighbor and keep noise within your campsite boundaries to a low minimum. The noise rules and hours will be enforced. Please do not dry laundry on lines or trees. We have a laundry room available for your use. No car or RV washing on the grounds. Your visitors do not have free use of the facilities. Please have them park in the visitor area and register in the office. No EV charging allowed.

There is no EV charging allowed .

Since starting in 2006 with a definitive fixer-upper we have strived to improve and bring the campground to what you the campers want.  From putting in cabins, adding landscaping, improving sites/ layout, repairing the pool, starting social events and family activities, adding a great camper kitchen, new pallet patios coming soon....... And we still have so much we want to do.
