This was our first camping trip so we chose KOA Lake Oconee since KOA has a good reputation and Lake Oconee had been recommended to us. We greatly enjoyed our 2 night stay here. The only thing we were disappointed in was the lack of trees on our site compared to others, but we were on the lake. The place was so clean and well kept. Nice concrete parking pad. Friendly, welcoming staff.

The site we were given was not at all what we were expecting. The description on the website had a patio. There was no patio-only rocks. We asked for another site only to be told there were none available. However of the several vacant sites on the water-none were offered and none were occupied during our stay. This was our 1st stay at this KOA, and will probably be our last.

There were cigarette butts all over our campsite which our dog wanted to pick up. Beautiful view though of the lake. Site just wasn’t very clean.

Let me start by saying- the staff here is amazing! They were great with us when we wanted to switch sites and even refunded a night when there was an unavoidable water issue. The common areas are a bit dated and I was not pleased with the condition of the bathrooms (dirty, bugs, old, etc). Our site was shaded and clean upon arrival. Would recommend, but wouldn't use the bathrooms.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hookups were well located and functional. The lake view is amazing. We are definitely coming back.

The sites need to be leveled. It appears most sites are not big rig friendly.

I can’t speak highly enough about the folks, the facilities, and the location. I’ve stayed at 8 or more KOAs and this one’s at the top of the heap. We started in a tent site, but it was too hot for our comfort. The staff bent over backward to get us into a cabin. Had some issues with my boat trailer and they came to the rescue then, too. The only improvement I could see was with the bathhouse. It needed a little updating but it was very clean. The laundry facility was very clean. The people in reception were very nice & accommodating. The lake views & sites were fantastic, but even if you didn't stay right on the lake, there was still great views.

Love the campground and Lake.Jeff and the staff were extremely helpful. Would suggest that you are sites that are on dirt are uninhabitable because there is a severe ant problem. After just 16 hours, there were ants streaming up from each of the stabilizing jacks into the camper. Still finding ants in the camper now after 4 days from leaving.

Very friendly staff. Very clean. Only opportunity was I was given the least desirable lakefront site when there were more desirable spots available. When I asked about this after setting up, I was told that had I asked at check in for the more desirable sites, I would have gotten it. Now I know. I assumed that the photo on my confirmation email would be the actual site, not just a sample picture

Booked a back in with patio & lake view. It was short, barely held our camper. The ground was uneven so hard to hook our truck up to leave. The 'patio' was just some gravel & a picnic table, hardly a patio. The lake view was a huge stretch. Campground felt cramped. Full timers make it look junky. We felt like what we paid ($100 for 2 nights) was not worth it. We will not be back & do not recommend

We enjoyed the stay, mainly because it gave us the opportunity to visit with family members who were staying at the Lake Oconee/Greensboro KOA. We were also very impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Other than that, we can't find much else to praise. Our cabin was infested with cockroaches, the plumbing hardware needed a lot of work, and there were other problems.

The park is very hilly and sites seemed that they were not maintained. Had to raise the front of our motorhome. I was not impressed with this park. Visitors/registration area was slanted. We did not have a chance to drive the park in the 'forest' area. The sites in the 'forest' seemed tight. Travel Resorts of America purchased the park from KOA about 2 years ago. They are trying to fix it up

Beautiful campground, friendly and helpful staff, lots of activities for the family, choice of pool or lake for swimming, individual bathrooms which is fantastic during Covid. Definitely will be going back!

We love KOA Lake Oconee/Greensboro stayed there several times and we will keep coming back. Everyone there is so nice and helpful. Beautiful place and very peaceful.

The property was super clean and everyone was pleasant and helpful. Our lakefront site was perfect for fishing and kayaking, of which we did a lot!

Nice clean place . One thing that I did not like was wasn't able to pick which ground we would like. we only had a choice of 3 when there was more available. Would of been nice to choose one of the others. We were put near a another coupe whom clearly wanted to be alone understandable we had an child with us and there where more tent sites b the water available.

The staff was great the lake fro t and pool was beautiful, however I hated the site we were in it was wedged in between two permanent sites that were a hot mess, grass not moved which along with all the uncared for stuff left outside bread mosquitoes. I understand that I was using 50 amp service but if I ever stay there again I will use a 30 amp just to get a larger cleaner area

The roads are in terrible shape. The sites are awkward to back into and pull out of with ruts and dirt washed out. There are more concern with the coast to coast membership buy in than the Koa customers. We won’t be returning

Had an amazing time! Hubby was able to fish every day we were there & kids were able to play on the deck & walk to the water for fun. The view was absolutely gorgeous & staff were great! Recommend you bring your own vehicle if you have a motorhome as Uber/Lift don’t come. I googled Taxi services & found a guy that took us to the local Publix AND waited for us to bring us back for $20. WILL BE BA
