We had a wonderful time staying in a train car at the KOA Lake Oconee Campground! The train car was very clean well-stocked and fun to stay in! The staff at the front office was so friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend this glamping experience!

I stayed in one of the caboose rentals and loved it! Quaint and equipped with everything I needed! While at the park I quickly made new friends and had so much fun at karaoke. One of my favorite things to see was the nature center, I got to help feed the critters & learn about them too! This park is amazing and really close to some nice restaurants & a large grocery. The lake was beautiful, bonus!

The area was absolutely beautiful! We were able to meet the Manager of the campground, Danielle, and she is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. You can tell she takes great pride in her job! We also had the pleasure of meeting the Activity Director, Kiara, although there were no activities during our visit, she did tell us about some amazing upcoming events that we can't wait to enjoy!

We have been to Lake Oconee KOA a few times and every time we are here we love it even more. The staff is awesome, especially the manager Danielle, she is a rockstar!! We absolutely love Danielle, she is professional, respectful and so friendly. The grounds are clean and well maintained and the cabin we were in was very clean. Next time we are staying in a caboose!!

This was our first time staying at Lake Oconee KOA and we absolutely loved it. From the minute we stepped in the store to register and get our key we were welcomed like we were old friends. The girls in the store were very friendly and so helpful. We met the campground manager Danielle and she was amazing!! So polite and very welcoming. Our cabin was immaculate and soooo cute! We will return

Great place! I had a late arrival and was contacted if I was still arriving and they informed me where my late packet would be and a number if I needed assistance. I really thought that was a nice gesture. I stayed in a really cool 'Caboose' Cabin, yes, a TRAIN Caboose, really neat set up and there were other cabooses lined up and get this, set up next to a train track. This place ROCKS!

This place ranks in my top 3 of KOA parks. Resort is clean, cabin was very clean, the lake is gorgeous and I came here about 5 times already and every time I come, something else has been improved. They make you feel like a celebrity, seriously they do. It looks like they are going to be adding some more sites soon. the bathhouse are private types and very clean. Amazing place indeed.

Arrived before the office closed for the day and was directed to what I thought was a cabin. It was a caboose with NO air conditioning. It was now after 5pm and the office was closed for the day. I called the night manager and a recording told me the Mail Box for this number was not set up and i could not leave a message. Problem never resolved. Owner never contacted me. Stay Away!

We are sorry to hear you had an unpleasant stay. We unfortunately do not have any cabins, instead we have train cars, cabooses, and park models. All of our units have AC and we apologize if yours was not working properly. Management will reach out to discuss your stay further. Feedback appreciated

Campground was big and the amenities were great. However our weekend was not enjoyable due to there being a water leak so we were without water. This would have been okay if we had planned for that, however, we were not prepared. I understand these things happened, but we were not offered any compensation and basically there was no point in renting a cabin since we couldn’t really use it.

The lake & pool were definitely gems here. We ended up having no water in our cabin starting the morning after check in, which wasn’t their fault, but also, we wouldn’t have known about it if we hadn’t asked. There was no water to purchase & none was offered, which was disappointing. The only bathroom that worked was the clubhouse, which had activities we would have to interrupt. Otherwise,

The cabin was disgraceful, we actually left a day early because the ants where horrible you couldn't get anyone to help or answer the phone . For $220 a night it was just completely unacceptable there wasn't even adequate utensils to cook out the chairs are broken , one broke with me and I hurt hip. We booked 5 cabins for a family reunion, our families traveled from 5 different states to be together. Unfortunately, upon arrival our handicap cabin WAS NOT handicap accessible, nor were any picnic areas or the pool. My sister’s family had to stay in a hotel and travel back and forth daily which was a hardship on them and definitely not the intent of our trip. There are ADA COMPLIANCE STANDARDS

We enjoyed our stay but there are quite a few things that should be improved. There is NO shade at the pool. Try providing umbrellas or some kind of covering as when we walked around the pool we had to run to get in because it was so hot on our feet. The docks where the cabooses use to be definitely need to be replaced. There are nails everywhere sticking out. No golf cart rentals, huge bummer.

The beds were comfortable, as was the futon.The entry porch needs to be larger, the deck chairs were falling apart, were not usable, the air conditioner ran constantly never got cooler than 79, the shower was not very usable for an adult, half of one of the 2 burners worked, the table had only 2 chairs, and there were ants all over the counter. over $400 for 2 nights, I expected top accommodations

1.No linen for fold out bed had to call emergency number at 10:00 pm to request linens. Only 2 towels and wash clothes for 4 people. They brought towels and linen in a big black garbage bag that you can tell was used and the linens they brought did not smell fresh and were so stained and disgusting we didn't use them. Shower handle was broken so we couldn't use shower. This list goes on and on

We stayed in a cabin but our daughter and family were on a campsite and we felt you have to walk too far to the bathrooms and showers. There needs to be more facilities closer to those areas and not only in the RV area. Also more permanent residents lead us to believe that small pool has been out of order for a while, like years. You website should reflect that

Very friendly staff. However, Air conditioner in railway coach C7 was not working optimally. It was fixed to 72 always and uncomfortable.

We stayed in a park model. The A/C was amazing! We were surprised at how roomy it was. Only small complaint we could have is the showerhead was so low, but it had awesome pressure. A mat at the sliding door would be nice inside. We had to use one of our beach towels. We were pleased overall.

Everyone was very helpful if you had any questions and accommodating when we had a situation with our cabin. The campground is beautiful. My grandkids had a blast and we will definitely go back.

We had a large group. We rented a camp site, a train cart and a cabin. The cabin’s air conditioner stoped working the day we got there so that was miserable for them. The train cart had no parking, it also had no oven and a shower that was too small for my husband to use. Overall had a good time. We come to the KOA often and love that the camp sites are ON the lake. The left dock needs work also

The AC in our cabin did not work 90% of the time, which was the main reason I chose a cabin, we could have tent camped for half the price. Also, the attitude I received every time I called about it not working is the reason we will never return.

I paid in advance and when I got there, you cannot rent golf carts any longer. No hammocks. And 3 years we have been coming and never had one bite from a fish. Only 1 pool open. No. I left after 1 night and never thought about refunding any of our money.

Very friendly and they go the extra mile to make sure your stay is great. I stayed in the caboose and it was very unique. Could have more outlets to plug into. I had my dog and she could go swimming too!

The area is very nice and enjoyed the nearby town and the outside crew keep the campground very nicely kept. The lodging we had really needed attention, dusty and broken mini blinds, floor was so very dirty ! Grill was dirty and unusable! Management obviously is not following behind the 'cleaning' person. At $153.00 a night one expects cleanliness at the very least !

We stayed in one of the train cars - they were awesome and clean. The patio chairs could use replacement; as I was a bit worried they were going to rip while sitting in them. :)

nice accommodation but water heater quit working Sat morning. The staff could not repair it so we used the showers at the rec center 100 yrds away. woke up Sunday morning to no water at all in the lower half of the park. Broken pipe I think. They refunded one nights stay and I was happy with that. Very apologetic. I would stay there again despite the problems.

It is a beautiful location! Although rainy one day, the weather was cool and pleasant, which added to our enjoyment. The Wifi was poor in the outdoors, and non-existent inside. The caboose interior was nice, but needs some updating. I'd recommend it!

My stay wasn’t longgggggg enough! I could truly get used to the area. EVERYTHING was amazing! The staff was very helpful & professional. The evening check in employee was very busy, but handled us all in an excellent manner! This is my new relaxing get-a-way spot

Campground isn't taken care of The lady we always talked to at the front desk was always rude And she let us know about the extra $20 a night pet charge after we were already there so we were charged an extra $60 for three nights she was rude and told us that we had to pay it No where in and paperwork or material they have does it mention this charge So beware of this extra charge will not be back

We loved it! Guest and staff very friendly. Our air condition broke and they had it fixed in less than 10 minutes! We will be back!

Estuvo muy bien, lo único que el k9 era solo uno y muy pequeño para tan grande parque. Algunos de los RV parking no estaban nivelados y la tienda muy pequeña. Pero fue muy agradable estar allí.

The Caboose car was the reason we stayed and it was average. The novelty was great; view was great. Clean. Kitchen could be upgraded. My issue was with the park in general. Very run down and unappealing. Sports courts were sad; playgrounds okay although one near sports court is sad. Retaining walls around park falling apart; stairs missing. Beach needs sand. Permanent residents need to CLEAN UP!
