Staff was so friendly. Even helped me fix a gasket on my hose so it wouldn't leak. Campground was very clean. Had a gorgeous view of the river and was a short walk to town. 5 stars!!!

Gorgeous campsite, great location, the only downside is the proximity to the railway line and the road.

Great KOA. Walkable to town and the campground is clean and well maintained. It can get noisy at night because of the highway and trains next to highway.

When we arrived we were assigned a tent site, but quickly realized our tent wouldn’t fit. The lady on the office switched us to the one we knew would work without an issue. The restrooms were very clean and heated which was nice since we were there late September and the nights were chilly.

Stopped here on the way from Ohio to California. Beautiful patio site backed up to a river. The sound of the rushing water more than makes up for the trains!

From my first interaction with Peggy at check in, everything was perfect! We ran into the owners in town and they are very friendly and take great pride in their camground. I would definitely come back!

The campground is well maintained and in a beautiful location. The restroom and shower facilities are the best I have been to, with individual rooms. The staff was friendly. The location was great, within walking distance to down town Lava and all the activities.

Beautiful setting beside the river, and an easy walk into town.The only drawback is the proximity to the highway and train tracks. But overall a great KOA.

The Lava Hot Springs KOA is very professional and clean. A beautiful campground. The only negative issue is beyond their control with being across the street from a train track. Runs from 5pm to 8am at least 6 times throughout the night.

Our stay was great! The staff was all very friendly and helpful. We knew we were going to be arriving later than planned and called ahead to give the staff a heads up. They called us a couple hours later to double check that we would be arriving late and made sure to have everything set up for when we got there. The cabin was everything we had hoped for, very clean and well taken care of.

Great spot just a short walk from the beautiful and historic hot springs. The campsite is tree lined and lovely. Some complain about the trains but, come on, it's an old west town with everything and that includes trains! There were only 2 the night we stayed and I found it charming. The campground itself is lovely with great hot showers and a nice little store at the office. Great stay!!!

We had a great time at this KOA! Very clean and well kept, from the camping sites to the bathrooms. I will definitely be going back again.

We had an RV spot along the river and it was a nice pot with concrete patio and fire pit. The staff were slow to respond to two messages I left on their voicemail, hence the reason for four stars. The town doesn’t have much to offer. The mineral hot springs pools were small and disappointing. My husband loved the zip line adventure!

We are happy to hear you enjoyed your RV site. We are sorry to hear we did not get back to you in a timely manner. The mineral hot springs are located in the small town of Lava Hot Springs, not on the campground and are uniquely quaint, quiet, and sulfur free.

It was very nice, staff were very friendly, i would love to come back for another visit. To me it was a 5 star visit, just not very good on filling out the rate form , the fifth star disappeared, but this place was very pretty and fun,

Beautiful campground that was clean and well kept. We stayed in a cabin which was wonderful. The only thing that was not great was the mattress-bring an oversized sheet as ours came off several times throughout the night.

If i could suggest anything would be a better shower head in L32 and put TVs back in the cabins and maybe designate a fishing area or fishing dock other than that this KOA was above and beyond my expectations!!

Got locked in one of the bathrooms after closing door and finding out the handle was missing and I couldn’t get out. Scary. Luckily my husband heard me ponding on the door. Also no paper towels in almost all of them.

Always a good experience. The person taking the reservation needs to let the customer know if they have points that could be used for the reservation.

Very Clean, Nice people running park, For the first night 46 was a nice spot and we moved to river side #9 very nice concrete pad with table and fire pit, we ended up with some load kids next to us but finally we silent at 10:30pm, free Wifi very slow. The only down side was trains early am and roads noise at time. Overall I would stay here again.

My ONLY complaint is that Sunday morning our neighbors in D5 left their dog to loudly bark and cry while they went to the pools. It was the one and only time we heard any noise from any of the other cabins, but was a bit disruptive to an otherwise peaceful morning. I thought pets weren't allowed?

We are so sorry to hear you had to put up with a barking dog. These cabins are not suppose to have pets in them, however; it seems that some guests do not respect that policy. The cleaning lady can usually find evidence of a pet. If this happens in the future, please notify us right away.

Nice campground except for noise. Big trucks using jake brakes and trains ever hour. Road is maybe 50 yards from park. Not parks fault. Nice river next to park and hot springs is 5 min walk. Friendly staff.

Amazing experience. Our cabin backed up to the river and a beautiful waterfall. Loved having the gas grill, outside table and chairs, rockers and firepit.
