Our cabin was very nice and very clean! The campground itself is very nice, well maintained and the staff is great! We will definitely be staying there again the next time we visit Lava Hot Springs!

We had site 52, supposedly semi-deluxe. The site was extremely close to the adjacent sites. I mean ridiculously close. Hosts were not very hospitable as well.

We were put in a cabin with no ac. Nobody tried to accommodate us. Our dog couldn’t breathe in this kind of heat. No discount. Slept in the car

Love this koa. Bathrooms are very clean and the grounds are beautiful. The staff are very helpful. Be prepared for very loud trains.

While the campground is beautiful and in a great location the layout of the park especially in the newer part really has some issues. There is long and strange curbing making driving and parking difficult. We even witnessed a motorhome drive up on the curbing and pop a tire. He then got off of the curb and hit it in second spot because it sticks out everywhere. Curbing is sharp not rounded too

Fabulous campground. Only lost a star for the proximity to the train and road which is a little noisy. But otherwise facilities were very clean and tidy, plenty of shade. Camp hosts were onto the noisier campers at 10pm too. Really enjoyed it!

Amazing! We loved staying in the Deluxe Cabins! They were clean and comfortable. Ours did seem to have a bit of a box elder bug problem but other than that it was great!

The park is across the road from the train tracks. Every time the train goes by it blew its whistle. It woke my husband up 6 times during the night and it woke me up about 3 times. We didn’t use bathrooms because we travel in our RV.

I reserved the pavillion for the 5-7 for a reunion for 80 people, but they did not give to me for the 7th past 11 am. The manager reserved it for herself and was unwilling to accommodate a paying guest. There is not enough parking and were constantly harassed by staff about moving cars. There are constant trains and loud traffic on the roads. Our cabin was hot in spite of the small window cooler.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The pavilion was reserved for another guest, not the owner. As the parking in the campground is very limited we take it serious to assist guests as to where to park. This summer was exceptionally hot during the day, but cools wonderfully at night.

Your camp is beautiful but the camp sites are too close together . You need night monitors some campers were loud outside till 2am so sleep was not good

It's to bad this is a nice camp ground but on my last night the two campsite next to me were so noisy until 1am I couldn't sleep. If your going to have times like 10pm and charge $5 for each dog a night you should have people respect others. An when we left told lady at desk she acted like she really didn't care

Great improvements have been made here since our last stay a few years back. Sites are a bit difficult to get into and road noise in new area are our negatives.

We have been staying here for over 20 years (before it was a KOA even). Once KOA bought it the major improvements started happening. The patio sites are amazing! The addition of the lodges are perfect. In my opinion - it’s the #1 best place to stay in Lava!

We had a fabulous stay in one of your cabins! The cabin and bath house were very clean and the grounds were well kept. The only thing I would change is update your picnic tables. Very close to the waterpark. We will defiantly stay again!

Great RV park & facilities.easy walk into town. Friendly staff. Only negative are the noisy trains & trucks through the night...

good.. easy access. nice, clean park. bad.. internet was horrible. worthless. charging for my pet is absurd. $5 per day for a pet is wrong. what impact does my dog have on your park? I truly felt like leaving the poop on the ground since I was being charged $45 to have my pet with me. its wrong. curbs.. Im no veteran to rv parks, but the curbs are a bad idea. too tall. dangerous.

Everything was great except a bit noisy being close to the road and the train. I would’ve given it a 3.8 if I could have. The walk by the river and across the bridge was beautiful. The site and pavilion, bathrooms, showers were very nice. Liked that they were private. Also a grill, sink and stove to use at the pavilion was nice to use.

Amazing experience. Our cabin backed up to the river and a beautiful waterfall. Loved having the gas grill, outside table and chairs, rockers and firepit.
