What's the Water Level at Lemolo Lake?

We often get phone calls and emails asking about the water levels at Lemolo Lake.  So here's the skinny on what you can expect at different times of year.  Since our lake is also a reservoir (a small lake dammed to make a bigger lake) the level does change during the year, but those changes are VERY predictable.

By agreement with the power company that controls the lake level at Lemolo Lake, our lake is ALWAYS full from Memorial Day through Labor Day each year.

After Labor Day they begin drawing the lake down 1/2 foot per day over about a 50 day window in preparation for winter.  Our boat rental operation remains functional until around the 1st of October when our docks go dry from the lowering process.

In the spring they begin raising the lake 1/2 foot per day starting April 1st each year.  By the 1st of May our docks have enough water to begin renting boats again.

That just happens to be our approximate day we open for the camping season each year.  What a coincidence!

So, for nearly our entire operating season, you don't have to worry about what the lake level at Lemolo Lake will be, just come and have fun.
