Campground Reviews

Drove over from Salem to get some alone time in the Umpqua National Forest. It was so beautiful with all the colors of fall. The owners, Anita & Jim are great people. You can tell they really care about the campgrounds/cabins and the guests who stay there. I plan on making this an annual trip and look forward to seeing them again.

We loved our stay. Sites are distributed among pines allowing each site some privacy. Anita and Jim are very informative and welcoming. The resort is definitely a location we will visit again. Plan on spending several nights!

Great location with lots of pine trees and a lake within walking distance. Crater Lake is a short drive away. Camp hosts are great and are in the beginning stages of rebuilding this RV camp since just buying it four months ago. Love the fact that there is no cable, no Wi-Fi and no satille. A step back in time. Families are forced to enjoy each other. Yes!!!

Very clean and roomy sites. Facilities are good and restroom/showers are clean. Jim and Anita are very friendly and accommodating. Already booked our next stay. This will be a regular destination for us Lemolo is a beautiful small lake with numerous trails and good fishing in season.

Our family has been coming to fish for many years and we appreciated the hospitality shown us by the Jim and Anita, the new owners. They were so warm and welcoming and we enjoyed visiting with them. We will definitely be back next year.

Neat place, very clean facilities and accommodating staff.

Great campsite and very clean showers/ washrooms.

The sites were not level as I expected with a KOA site. There were tree stumps in the middle of the site.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

During 2018 we removed approximately 150 trees from our RV park to improve turning radius for drives, widen sites and lengthen sites. With each of those trees a stump was left that had to be removed with a stump grinder. That takes both significant time and effort, and we found most guests didn't want us removing them during their stay.

Awesome spot- we enjoyed the moonrise over Lemolo Lake one night and the sunrise in the morning the next day! Actual campsite still needs modernization but the owners are working on that.

The hosts,Anita and Jim, were super welcoming and very friendly. Quiet and spacious wooded sites- camping in the woods. Beautiful. Lake Lemolo, a small lake, is on the property The campground offers small boat rentals for the lake and there is a beach. The property is large, lots of paths to explore. Bring your groceries as the nearest store is 80 miles away. Great KOA. Loved it!

Very nice hosts, helped me a lot with further KOA reservation. Romantic (and remote) campsite, with very natural surroundings and direct access to the lake. Problem: No Wifi, no telephon net.

Stayed in a tent. Fortunately had electricity close because it got cold. Restrooms and Showers were clean and well maintained. Camp area had nice trees. Small store was ok. Boat ramp was difficult. It required a right angle turn just before the water and was shallow. The reservations were messed up but the owners made things right.

We had a nice RV campsite in the off season and all was peaceful and quiet. Campsites are among the trees, however, it is dusty and dirty like everyone else commented. We luckily had a large ground rug that helped, but I don't know if we'll ever be able to get it cleaned properly. The lake is gorgeous and there are some hiking trails worth exploring. The resort has a handful of watercraft for rent

Very friendly staff, well maintained grounds. Very satisfied!

Stayed two nights. The place has either 24 or 27 rv sites plus about 7 tent sites. They have one bathroom for al of these sites. The men’s bathroom had one urina, one toilet and two shower stalls. The showers were coin operated, two coins for a 4 minute shower. I think the coins were $.50 each. Have stayed in numerous KOA’s and never had to pay for showers elsewhere. Won’t retu

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do not charge our guests for showers. We provide every guest free shower tokens daily for the length of their stay. We use tokens in our showers to control the nearly 100 dry camp sites around our lake from utilizing our showers. We do charge for laundry, which is also run by tokens. Perhaps you confused the two.

Peace and quiet. No TV or radio stations at all. Put down the electronics and come enjoy nature. Can do mountain biking, ATVs, paddle boarding, and boating right from campsite. Need some work on the infrastructure but they are doing it and with that being said I still give it 5 Stars just for the peace and quiet.

The spaces are uneven, but even worse, they are full of loose dirt. There is dirt everywhere- several inches. The spaces need to be leveled and roadbase added. The owners need to learn the KOA computer system because they didn't know how to let me use my rewards.

It is not what we are used to when visiting a KOA Campground. The hosts were very nice and it is very beautiful at the lake, but the price is too much for the facilities. There is no dishwasher station and no wifi.
Sep 17, 2018
Enjoyed the stay, have not camped here before and hosts were very friendly and c courteous. Fishing was great which was a plus!
Sep 17, 2018
Everything was great and the customer service was fantastic. It would have been helpful to know that the showers were token operated beforehand since that's a key reason we stay at a KOA vs state campground.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the comments - So we can be clear, our showers run on tokens to control the nearly 100 dry camp sites that surround our lake. Since our facility has the only showers on our lake, they often come here looking for showers. Shower Tokens are ALWAYS FREE to our guests. During our off-season we offer showers to dry camp (non-KOA) sites for a fee. Hope that helps.

Excellent experience, friendly staff clean bathhouse. Will be back again!

Way out of the way even though we were headed to crater lake. No off leash dog area which is really rough these days with pets. It was okay for a one night stay, probably would find another place next time.
Sep 11, 2018
So, the owners are very nice and helpful. Recommendations for hiking in the area were superb. The campground itself is a little sketchy and very dusty. The biggest disappointment was the shower. You have to buy tokens to use a shower with very little water pressure and luke warm water at best. Not your normal KOA, not sure it will ever make it to KOA quality.

campground needs a lot of work. needs to be graveled, sewers are up hill, very dusty. wish you the best.

Great owners, lovely place

We had a great stay at lemolo Lake. We rode our bikes around the lake mostly on the road as a trails are a little bit rough. We also use one of the paddle boats at the marina and enjoyed checking out the lake. The cabin is really cute.
Sep 10, 2018
We decided we'd rather lose the money we had paid to stay and left. The sites have no view of the lake and they're amidst a dead-tree forest.

We loved the place, lake is wonderful. Hosts were great. We will be back. One small thing, it would be nice to see some ground cover in the RV spaces to cut down on the dust.
Sep 06, 2018
The shower was COLD after the first shower. Also no bowls and glasses were dirty. Hopefully they will get it together, before we go back again.

what a great place and the owners are amazing- Bentley the dachshund is the cutest thing ever. My husband helped the lady that didn't hitch her 5th wheel up correctly and it unhooked when she turned the corner. Jim and his wife were fast to help also. There are so many beautiful waterfalls to hike in the area not to mention beautiful Crater Lake.We will be back for a week 2019.. thank you again
Sep 05, 2018
Staff were great. There are quite a few stumps that make big rig challenges for entering and leaving sites. I would suggest they be cut to ground level. Very dusty.
Sep 05, 2018
The cabin was nice with all the conveniences we needed. We had a view of the lake.
Sep 04, 2018
The campground needs to be re-rocked and the sewer hookups currently run uphill.... so much dust, the camp spots are full of stumps and there are so many dead trees you can barely walk around. A lot of time and effort needs to be put into this park.
Sep 04, 2018
Got moved to a different site then we reserved, but the privacy of that site was nice.the down side was the dust and our trailer sewage port was lower then the sewer port. But thet did let us use their dump.

The cabin was located pretty close the lake but it was very outdated - the sheets were clean, however the chairs were dirty. The utensils were not clean, heater in the living area was not working and was no emergency number to call - overall the location is beautiful but the cabins need maintenance

Nice campground but very dusty. Owners very nice.

We got to stay here for an end of season trip, got in the last weekend before they closed for the season. It was a nice spot to camp in our RV and go see Crater Lake. We were greeted by the friendly camp host, they have a little store with snacks and stuff. Wide pull-through spots, with full hookups, which was nice. And good cell service, we were even able to stream netflix over our AT&T hotspot. Great little campground, I'd be happy to stay there again next time we are in the area.

Great place to get lost in the woods. Highly recommend it. One issue I had is the sewer hookup was higher than my drain so getting my tanks empty was a chore.
