Temperature Requirements
The pool will remain open only when both air and water temperatures meet the following minimums:
• Air temperature: Above 72°F (22°C)
• Water temperature: Above 72°F (22°C)
If either the air or water temperature drops to 72°F or below, the pool will be closed until temperatures rise above the required threshold. Temperatures are monitored regularly by pool staff using calibrated thermometers.
Severe Weather Closures
The pool will close immediately for the following conditions:
• Lightning (within 10 miles)
• Thunder ( audible thunder, regardless of visible lightning)
• Rain (steady or heavy rain that creates unsafe or uncomfortable conditions)
• Thunderstorms or any associated severe weather
Lightning/Thunder Safety Protocol
• Upon the first sound of thunder or sighting of lightning, the pool will be cleared and closed.
• The pool will remain closed for a minimum of 30 minutes after the last thunder or lightning is observed.
• The 30-minute countdown restarts with any new thunder or lightning.
• This follows standard National Lightning Safety Institute and American Red Cross guidelines.
Management may close the facility at their discretion due to high winds, extreme humidity, poor visibility, or any other weather condition that poses a safety risk or significantly diminishes the swimming experience, even if the above criteria are not fully met.
Notification and Reopening
• Closures will be posted at the pool entrance and communicated via social media.
• The pool will reopen as soon as conditions safely allow and all required criteria (temperature and weather) are met.
• No refunds or prorated discounts will be issued for weather-related closures.
Guest Responsibility
Guests are encouraged to check current weather conditions and pool status before arriving.
For safety reasons, all guests must exit the pool area promptly when a closure is announced.
This policy prioritizes safety above all else and may be updated as needed based on local weather patterns or updated safety standards.
