Sites are close to each other & our picnic table & really small fire ring were on a hill and practically unusable unless you moved it right next to the camper on the parking pad. Had a hard time pulling our camper to our spot on the gravel road (it had recently rained, spun mud and gravel on the camper) Site was a pull through and was plenty long which was nice.

Reserved site w/full hook ups. When we arrived, we were assigned a water & electric only site. There was no one in the office at 3pm. Had to call every number I could find. No answer. Finally, someone called back & said she would be right down...15 minutes later. Assigned a new site which was 5.5 inches off level side-to-side! Plugged power and EMS said there was no ground. I do not recommend.

I enjoyed the place but wish there were better signage as to where the camping spots were and how the camp was setup. There are a ton of gravel drives which can become confusing to someone who has never been there and especially later at night when we pulled in. Other than that I loved the place.

Very Nice campground with good spacing between sites. A little close to a highway that had a lot of noisy traffic. Sites not well marked if arriving after dark, but they provided a guide. Some campsites share electric and water poles, and sewer was a long way from the camper when parked close to power pole. Internet worked well, cable did not. Friendly staff.

Less than i expected from a KOA. Our site was next to the highway and was extremely noisy. Other sites were vacant is quieter areas.

We loved the site! It was the first time we stayed at a KOA and we saw why they’re popular—the site was beautiful, check in was easy and the employees were very kind and helpful, and the amenities were great (though we only actually used the showerhouse)! My only complaint with this campground was its proximity to the highway. I’m a light sleeper, so it was a rough night of sleep.

The owner was so accommodating. He was concerned we wouldn't be able to exit our campsite and offered to cut down a tree. He was concerned with limb hanging too close to our roof so he came and trimmed them. OUTSTANDING customer service. Very nice people. Great location.

Worst koa we have ever stayed in. No picnic table or fire pit. Space was not big enough for our 5th wheel. Had to wait for camper behind us to leave in order to get out.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We try to accommodate all guests. If a previous guest had moved a table, we would have gladly gotten you a picnic table/fire pit if you had requested. We are always open to changing sites if a guest is not happy where they are. Our aim is to help our guests have a positive camping experience.

Unmasked reception. In the middle of a pandemic. We're in an RV to stay isolated to visit an elder parent who is battling cancer & we need to stay safe. KOA should be protecting visitors. Disappointed after the safety at other states' KOA sites we visited; clearly Missouri is a hillbilly mess but were hoping KOA would be a safe haven. It wasn't. At least some campers were masked.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do take precautions. We have a sign requesting social distancing as well as glass between our guests and us in the office. We sanitize our office doors, pens, etc often as well as sanitizing the restrooms. The majority of our guests are outside in the fresh air. Maps are left outside.

Very loud traffic noise. Not the kind of setting for a “peaceful” stay.

Nice place to stay. We were there 13 days. Staff was very friendly. The restrooms/showers were very clean and nice. The staff worked hard to fix the roads that were effected by heavy rains. We enjoyed our stay.

People were nice. The water hydrant was so close to the sewer it didn't seem safe.

Very friendly folks at check-in and grounds keeping. Gravel roads and pads. The pad was pretty level but the gravel roadway to the sites is rough. We only stayed a single night because we were headed home but their location worked out great for us. We'd stay there again if it was time to get in off the road.

The site is beautiful, staff is friendly, cost was fair, however, the heavily rutted camp ground roads need to be fixed.

The thick gravel was not motorcycle friendly throughout the campground,very difficult to maneuver on motorcycle. The stay ,the staff,the location,the cleanliness were awesome!

Excellent staff. Good weather all but one day when it rained a lot and we were at the bottom of the hill, not good. Next trip we will book a place higher up the hill. Location is close to all the places we like to visit. Walmart is just down the road and a camper dealer is just over the next couple of hills if you need parts. The Harley shop is close if you stay during bike week.

Road throughout the park was terrible. Rain has created deep ruts in most of the road. Work was barraged to divert water but this did not help much. Shower & rest rooms were very nice. RV parking sites need to be leveled better and paving would be a big plus.

We are sorry that the roads and torrential rain that suddenly came affected your stay with us. We are working on improving our roads. Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather. We hope you were able to visit some of the wonderful sites Lake of the Ozarks area has to offer.

Road as very rough in and out of property. Camp ground employees driving around on golf cart having an argument dropping foul language is not appealing. We have stayed before and was not a great experience but always like to give something a second chance. Not sure there will be a third.

All gravel. Would like to have seen more grass, and not real level. In my opinion, sites are too close together. Dog park could be a little bigger

We had a wonderful weekend! Our campsite was easy to back in to and it didn't take much to level the camper. The campground was quiet and very relaxing. It looks like work is on-going to repair drainage and road problems from recent heavy rains. We'll definitely be back!

The best things about this KOA are lots of trees & location. The gravel roads inside the campground are terrible (rutted, uneven). Some sites are not level. The laundry is ok.
