We stayed here because all of the local campgrounds were closed for tent camping after 1 Nov., so this seemed to be our only option. It was severely overpriced, did not have water and was super noisy from the highway. Even if the site had running water, still highly overpriced. The bathroom was out of towels and the office was closed. At least the staff was nice when I could catch them.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do not offer towels to tenters/campers; no campground does. As a courtesy to our guests, we offer bath mats in the showers. It is possible that they had been used up and not replaced since we are short-stafed.

Friendly staff. The website overcharged us for our camping so the camp manager gave us complimentary firewood. Great game room and a piano too which I played to a small crowds delight

The ground was hard and rocky worst time camping couldn't sleep. Otherwise pretty cool place. Due to nonsleeping the whole trip went just.

Staff is friendly, they have a lot of last minute things you may need while there. The bathrooms are very nice and updated. However the road to the primitive camp needs work and the leaves need to be cleared from the primitive campgrounds. They have fantastic tree coverage, keeps the camp cooler and drier in the rain. Overall, it was a great experience.

We do plan to stay again in September, in the pool side apt. We would not recommend your primitive area to anyone on a motorcycle ! In fact you should really warn people about how rough the terrain is ....Your shower house is very nice and clean so is the pool area! �

The roads are horrendous! The fire pits are sloppily thrown together. Our site didn't have a grill, as only some do. The pool and shower house are great. The service was friendly, but seemed like they were overworked and didn't have time to do everything.

Enjoyed my 2 night stay. Bathrooms were well maintained and clean, and were fairly easy to access from my tent camp site.

Great primitive camping area other than the drive back. Could not find the actual road due to the leaves - but it was fall so was to be expected.

If it were to rain it would be a muddy mess. My spot was so narrow I almost missed the drive through. The water and electric hook ups were just inches away from my motor home. I’m surprised it’s a KOA!!!

Appreciated the clean and very nice bathrooms. However, I wouldn’t say that they are a “short walk” from the primitive campsites. Also, having no water access at the primitive sites was also a challenge. Most primitive sites we’ve been to have both water and at least vault toilets close by.

Stayed at a tent site. Was quiet and not crowded, showers and bathrooms were very nice. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect between all the tourist destinations. Clean nice bathrooms and showers. Decent pool and rec room. Only negatives are the roads are very rutted and the tent sites are not well defined.

Road to the tent area was really rough. SUV needed. The tent area had a lot of litter and overflowing garbage can, so I was concerned about animals. Also, the tent area was hard-packed dirt. If it rains, it will be a muddy mess. Too close to the highway. I heard cars all night long. Wifi does not reach back to the tent area. The bathrooms were nice. Great to have hot water.

I called 4 times because I thought we were going to miss our check in time and no one answered. I just risked me and my three girls being out of luck if they didn’t let us in. Luckily they had our site info pinned to the board outside and we got in. The bathrooms were nice but very far away from the tent area. I ride a motorcycle and tent camp. the road to get to the tent camping area is nothing but loose rocks, washouts, and roots so it's rough getting back there. The showers and toilets are about a quarter mile away, nestled within the area that all the campers are that HAVE toilets and showers in their campers!!! Even if I had driven my truck, I still would be disappointed in this KOA.

I refused to stay at this KOA due to the rudeness of the staff and uncleanliness of the campground. I checked in on 7/31 at 2pm and paid $70 for 2 night stays but chose to leave the KOA at 4pm due to how uncomfortable the staff made my son and I feel. I paid for a tent site and they were rude about it because we weren't RV customers. I stay at many other KOAS. NEVER WILL EVER RECOMMEND THIS ONE.

very small camp sites. my bbq pit was a tire rim someone left behind. your right next to the rvs and campers so you get to deal with that noise. i booked 3 nights and on the 2ed day they tried to get me to scoot my stuff over a little for someone else to share my site because they double booked it. wont be back. no picnic tables just rocky ground. over priced for not much

The drive up to the tent sites was a little sketchy but it added to the experience I think. Everything else was great! Clean, and comfortable! Staff was friendly!

The website wasn't clear on whether you were selecting the primitive camping or individual camping sites. We ended up getting the primitive camping site. There were very few picnic tables or fire rings. The website should be clear on primitive vs individual sites. There was trash left as well. A tent and satellite dish in the middle of the site.

Some work needs to be done on the road leading to the primitive campground. It has been washed out and has ruts that are pretty large. The bathrooms are very nice and clean.

We have stayed at this location many times. This is the 1st time I have any complaints. The bathrooms were not cleaned as should be. They ran out of hand soap so put bar soap in which is not sanitary. Also there was a bad sewer smell at campsite and trash piled up. And this is the 1st time we have not had a fire ring. We had to go buy one to use. Also we had no picnic table.
