General Campground Information

Camper Reviews

Here are the reasons we hear from our campers that they love staying with us time and again.
  1. The campground is clean, quiet and friendly!
  2. I love that a shuttle comes for free and takes you to the ferry dock!
  3. Fabulous staff, great sense of humor, friendly, and informative of all the activities in the area. We loved being able to take our bikes into Mackinaw city, utilizing their paved bike path from the campground.
  4. Everything was clean and perfect. The owners actually did a lot of the work over and beyond and they hired workers who cared for the property like they lived there, not just seasonal. We can't say enough about how pleased we were to have chosen this KOA. It deserves to be recognized as exceptional!
  5. Great place! We loved our site which had a concrete pad, table and chairs and fire pit and also adirondack chairs. Beautiful week in Mackinaw City, lots to do nearby and extremely nice staff.

We are a World Class, Icon Award winning KOA and we work hard to make sure all of our campers feel welcome and appreciated for spending their valuable getaway time with us.

Reservation Guarantee & Deposit Refunds

We strive to offer one of the most flexible cancellation policies in the outdoor hospitality industry. To keep our operations fair and consistent for all guests, this policy is enforced uniformly, without exception, regardless of the circumstances. When you book a stay with us, you agree to our standard cancellation terms. While we always hope for sunny skies, we cannot guarantee perfect weather. Once your reservation is secured, we block out that specific campsite exclusively for you and turn away all other interested campers. Additionally, our business incurs non-refundable credit card processing fees for every transaction. For these reasons, deposit refunds for all cancellations—including those due to inclement weather—will strictly follow our established cancellation schedule.

Meet Your Hosts

Doug, Kathleen and Nolan Gregory

Our family is working hard to make sure you have an amazing stay.

It has been our privilege to join the KOA family and make this KOA our favorite place to play and relax in Northern Michigan. We are so fortunate to be in Mackinaw City and, with the support of our family and friends, share this experience with others who also love this area, camping, and the beautiful park we have continued to build and improve with each year we have spent here. We welcome you to our backyard.
