We stayed in site 126 over 4th of July and the campsite acrossed from us had a yappy dog that barked THE ENTIRE time! In the morning, afternoon, and evening. At one point U screamed through our pop-up for them the “shut your stupid dog up”! My kids and I left a day early because we just needed sleep! My husband stayed until Monday since he paid for the site. Honestly I HATED this stay!

It was a wonderful weekend. My family will definitely be back. Hopefully stay a week or two. My only complaint is the port-a-potties were very nasty by the second evening. They need to be emptied more often.

Not what I expected from a KOA Holiday. Very dirty and the premium sites are dirty / grass.

Made reservations earlier in the spring and had lot 56. Called the next day and verified site 56. Showed up on 7/2 and was told we were on site 92. Was told I was never issued site 56. Was eventually given site 56, but it was a rotten way to start the weekend. Don't think we would have even fit on 92.

I Love the people that run this KOA. The fireworks are great, and I am always impressed with how Bud puts them all together for a great show. I was worried he was not going to do them this year because they moved his spot in the park. But thank God he was still there. Our first year there we were next to him and he was one of the reasons we come back every year.

A great weekend as always! 4th of July is our favorite weekend at KOA! The firework show was fabulous! Thank you KOA for a great weekend!

Kids loved the activities, water slide and swimming pond. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. However, the campsites are very small and we’re mostly dirt. Fortunately it didn’t rain or we would be in a giant mud puddle. We will most likely be back maybe once per year over a holiday weekend.

Was quiet, a friendly staff as always, fireworks were phenomenal. Best I’ve seen in many years. Weather was perfect and we will be back in a couple weeks! Thank you!

We had a great time yet again!! Tho we didn’t get the cabin we requested we were still able to get a cabin which we appreciate because one of my sons is autistic and is petrified of animals so these work great for our family since no pets are around there! Looking forward to next year!

Our stay was very pleasant. We stayed 6 nights over 4th of July week/weekend. We have been coming since I was a little kid, the only thing that wasn’t very pleasant was the smell of the water. The toilets the showers and hand washing sinks water smelt so bad of sewer smell. Also the showers were backing up with water. The water def left us smelling worse then the lake. Will return for tradition

My cabin (small w/toilet/shower) was nasty, dated and it smelled of urine. The toilet was old, the shower was yucky and water got all over the floor. I guess you get what you pay for because my friends had bigger cabins and they were very nice and updated. I didn't complain because I assumed all small ones were the same - plain nasty! I hated it!

My stay was great. The kids made many memories. Looking forward to going back next year. The only disappointment I had was the bathroom needed to be maintained a little more.

We stayed overnight in one of the 2 premium pull through sites, and was disappointed that the burners on the gas grill they have were was totally rusted, rendering the grill useless. Most of the sites are on grass and there were havy rains which led to many puddles and I am sure soggy sites. Overall its ok, nothing horrible but nothing great, although lots of kids having fum with the lake and org

We enjoyed our camping at the Monroe KOA. Helpful staff, clean facilities, and nice campsites. 2 feedback items: We had a premium pull thru site, with propane grill, fire pit, etc. The grill was rusted out and would not work. We borrowed the grill from the adjacent campsite. The fire pit is dug too deep below ground to be of use. Will not be reserving these premium sites again.

We stay here every year! We meet family from Ohio. We always have a great time!! We rent the cabins. Cabins are great! The lake is awesome!! Kids love the water slide!! Employees are always friendly and very helpful!!! Love this KOA!!!!

monroe county KOA should find a new wood supplier, the wood was smokey and never burned very well. The fire pit at our site was deep and did not have air flow to the flame. The camp pump went out early in the morning but was fixed quickly.

The campground is clean and very well kept. The playground, pool/pond and waterslide are awesome and our daughter played on it all day. The staff ave very helpful and Stephen, a manager, personally took care of a issue we had, showing that this campground has a great staff. If we are ever camping in Michigan again we will be spending a night here again for sure.

Upon arrival we waited 15 minutes while employees dealt with phone. When getting to our cabin I was disappointed at the dinginess. The curtains were water stained and very dirty. The fan was so dirty even my 7 year old said don't turn that on. No where to hang towels or cloths, hooks would be helpful. The beach was clean employees nice. Out of chix tenders at snack shack our 3 day stay!

The water is great! The kids love the playgrounds too. The trailer we stayed in is in need of some serious updates. There where nails sticking out of the deck. Trim and nails falling off inside. It rained and one of the windows was leaking. The air conditioner also leaked. There were no batteries in the fire alarm or the carbon dioxide detector… the list goes on. Overpriced but still fun.

The deluxe cabin was great...would have been considered "excellent" with an updated water system..very little water flow in kitchen...and more appealing to have a handle instead of a pipe wrench to control the shower faucet ;)

Our stay was great. Only a couple problems with the cabin. The portable air conditioner did not keep up with the heat. We had 3 fans trying to circulate but the coolest we got it was 78 and that was at night. Also the floor in our cabin had alot of soft spots on the floor. So cabin just needs some tlc to make better. overall everything else was great!

Camp sites are extremely tight. Staff has no clue about reserving sites of proper size for big campers. We were expected to get a 35 foot camper on a site with a huge tree in the middle of the site. The campers needed water and electric and the hook ups were on the wrong side of the trailer. We had an extension cord attached to our camper cord and it was in the middle of a water puddle

The cabin was very nice and cozy. There were many activities and things to do. I love the area. Only two complaints. I had to have someone come twice to fix the TV. If it wasn't so rainy it really would not be a problem. However, it was rainy the week I was there so a working TV would have been nice. The second problem was that there were no frying pans or serving spoons.

We had a great time! We held a family reunion get together and all the families rented cabins. It was a great location for the event. There was a lot to do.

Thank you koa. Our family has had a great summer thanks to your staff. Special thanks to Chris Laura stephan and Bob. I have never been somewhere with such an amazing group of people looking to only make sure my family has all the opportunities to be happy and have a great time. You guys are the reason I will continue to come back and choose to spend my time and hard earned money which every time I do is worth it! Thank u see u next year
