General Information

Campground Visitor Policy

Visitor Hours
  • Visitors are allowed between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
  • Overnight stays by visitors are not permitted unless registered as part of a camping reservation.

Parking
  • Visitor parking is available in designated areas only.
  • Parking at campsites is not permitted unless approved by staff.
  • Vehicles parked in unauthorized areas may be towed at the owner's expense.

Rules & Conduct
  • Visitors must abide by all campground rules, including quiet hours, pet policies, and fire regulations.
  • Visitors are the responsibility of the registered camper.
  • Any disruptive, illegal, or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the property without refund.

Pet Policy for Visitors
  • Visiting pets are allowed only if they meet campground pet rules (e.g., leashed, cleaned up after, non-aggressive).
  • Registered campers are responsible for the behavior of visitor pets.

Liability
  • Moose Jaw KOA Journey is not responsible for accidents, lost or stolen items, or damage to visitor property.
  • Visitors enter at their own risk and are expected to follow all posted safety and environmental guidelines.

Campfire Policy

To ensure the safety of our guests and to protect the natural environment, the following fire policy is in effect at Moose Jaw KOA Journey:

Open Fires Prohibited

Open flames and campfires are strictly prohibited at all campsites and throughout the campground.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Traditional wood-burning fire pits
  • Bonfires

Propane Fire Pits Permitted

Propane fire pits are allowed under the following conditions:

  • Must be CSA- or UL-approved.
  • Must be used on a stable, non-flammable surface and at least 10 feet from tents, vehicles, or combustible materials.
  • Must never be left unattended while in use.
  • Must be turned off completely when not in use or when leaving the campsite.

A fire extinguisher or water source must be readily accessible.

Enforcement

Violation of this fire policy may result in:

  • Immediate extinguishment of unauthorized fires
  • Removal from the campground without refund

Quiet Hours

Quiet Hours
  • Quiet time in the park starts at 10:00pm
  • We ask you please respect your neighbors who may be resting.
  • Should management receive a complaint about noise, you will receive a warning. If the noise continues your will be asked to leave the park. No refunds will be given for these situations.

Campground Liability Policy

1. Purpose:
This policy is designed to clearly outline the responsibilities and liabilities of both the campground and its guests. The goal is to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and legally sound experience for everyone on the property.

2. Assumption of Risk
By entering the property of Moose Jaw KOA Journey, all guests and visitors acknowledge that camping and outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Wildlife encounters
  • Uneven terrain
  • Falling branches or trees
  • Fire and cooking hazards
  • Weather conditions
  • Use of recreational equipment

Guests voluntarily assume all risks associated with these and other camping-related activities and agree to hold Moose Jaw KOA Journey, its owners, employees, and agents harmless from any and all claims of injury, damage, or loss.

3. Guest Responsibility
Guests are responsible for:

  • Ensuring their own safety and the safety of minors or pets under their supervision
  • Using all facilities, equipment, and natural areas in a safe and respectful manner
  • Following posted rules, guidelines, and instructions from staff
  • Carrying their own personal insurance to cover any injury, loss, or damage

4. Property Damage
Guests are liable for any damage they cause to campground property, equipment, or natural features. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Vandalism
  • Fire damage caused by negligence
  • Improper disposal of waste or chemicals
  • Damage to trees, plants, or wildlife

Moose Jaw KOA Journey reserves the right to seek reimbursement for repair or replacement costs and to remove any individual responsible.

5. Vehicle and Personal Property

  • Moose Jaw KOA Journey is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal belongings, vehicles, or equipment brought onto the property. Guests are encouraged to secure valuables and lock vehicles.

6. Emergencies
  • In case of an emergency, guests should immediately contact campground staff or call 911. The campground provides basic safety support but does not guarantee the presence of trained medical personnel or emergency responders.

7. Indemnification Clause

By staying at or visiting Moose Jaw KOA Journey, guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless the campground, its owners, staff, and affiliates from any claims, lawsuits, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Injuries or accidents occurring on the premises
  • Actions or negligence of the guest, their family, or their visitors
  • Violations of campground rules or applicable laws

Acknowledgment:
  • Guests are considered to have acknowledged and accepted this policy upon booking, checking in, or entering the campground premises.

Pet Policy

Pet Policy
  • Pets are welcomed at our campground free of charge.
  • Dogs must be on leash at all times. (Unless using the dog park)
  • Please clean up after your animals.
  • Pets are not allowed inside the office building or the washroom/showers.

Check-in and Check-out times

Check-In Policy

Check-In Time: 12:30 PM – 10:00 PM

Late Arrivals: If you plan to arrive after 10:00 PM, please contact the office in advance to make arrangements. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM, so please arrive and set up with minimal disruption to others.

Check-In Process:

  • All campers must check in at the campground office upon arrival.
  • Please have your reservation details and a valid ID ready.
  • Any outstanding balance is due at check-in.

Check-Out Policy

Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM

Late Check-Outs: May be available for an additional fee, subject to availability. Please inquire at the office at least 24 hours in advance.

Site Condition:

  • Please leave your campsite clean and free of trash.
  • Dispose of trash in designated bins or dumpsters.

Early Departures & Refunds
  • Early departures are not eligible for refunds unless due to campground-related issues.
  • If you need to cancel or change your reservation, please review our Cancellation Policy or contact us directly.

Help Preserve Our Natural Beauty

Help us keep our campground green.
Please do not park on grass or put mats or carpets on grass. No tents on full hookup sites.
You may not cut the natural vegetation, alter the landscape or in any way destroy the natural beauty of this park.

Respectful Enjoyment for All

Our park is family oriented, so we ask everyone to drink responsibly and respect those who do not. Please keep all canned or bottled alcoholic beverages in an insulated cup at
all times. Open display of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.

Waste Disposal Guidelines

Dumping of sewage, gray water, or garbage on the ground, or in the pond is not permitted—a dump station is available. Trash should be placed in the large dumpsters available for that purpose.

Speed Limits

Please observe posted vehicle speed limit for the safety of everyone

Washroom Access Reminder

Please do not share the washroom door code with anyone outside of your party.
