Celebrate America's big birthday bash this Independence Day at our KOA in West Yellowstone! Independence Day Weekend (July 3–5, 2026) is also a National Park Fee-Free weekend, making it the perfect time to explore Yellowstone before or after the festivities.
We're packing the long weekend with classic campground fun and family-friendly activities on site, including a Junior Ranger Passport kickoff for kids, crafts, scavenger hunts, old-fashioned games, and a patriotic parade. Guests can enjoy mini donuts for purchase, join in all-American field day games and creative craft stations, and end each evening gathered around the campfire with s'mores. The celebration wraps up Sunday with a thank-a-ranger card activity and a Care Camp clean-up challenge, creating a festive and meaningful holiday weekend in the great outdoors near Yellowstone National Park. Check out the attached schedule for more information. Sites are filling up fast, book your stay today!
That doesn't mean this area has to always be empty. When you start reviewing camping options, your history will display here to help compare sites and find the best stay. You will be able to share your stay information with friends or family and save it for a later time if you have a KOA Account.
