I stayed in a cabin which was clean & comfortable. But bathroom facilities were old and not well maintained. Two of the three buildings had no hot shower water & needed cleaning. Baths an inconvenient distance from cabin too. The grounds were dusty & muddy as there were no pebbles or gravel covering the road & walkways as in other KOA camps. This camp needs a renovation to update it.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were disgusting and should have been cleaned more often on such a busy weekend.

I was worried because of all the bad reviews online, but the owners were very nice and accommodating to all our needs. They upgraded us to a site right next to the lake, then we asked asked about a cabin for a couple of nights prior to our departure and the worked it out for us to get in one.... this was on the fourth of July weekend!!!! I can't rave enough about our experience at this KOA.

Had a wonderful time! Clean bathrooms �� owner is always so friendly and accommodating! Had such a nice relaxing time we already made reservations for a end of the summer get away! We have stayed many times and have never had a complaint or issues with anything! Have recommended to many friends and family who have also stayed and had a wonderful stay! We stayed at cabin 3 which is very close to the sewer draining spot so the smell was unbearable during the majority of our stay. We were very disappointed.

Bathrooms were quite unsatisfactory. Cabin was nice.water was clean. Didn’t see any organized things going on and never seen hayride going on.

Loved the location. There was lots to do. The bathrooms where a little run down and dirty, but it is camping so we somewhat expected that. Staff was friendly!

The staff was friendly and the cabins were nice but the amenities were a little run down. The bathroom door would sometimes get stuck shut and you'd be trapped. The lake was pretty murky and gross.

We reserved two cabins for two nights. We were told right before dusk the 2nd night that a fire ban was in place and we couldn't light our firepit. We had already purchased firewood and were ready to enjoy the night by the fire. We didn't have a reason to stay after told about the fire ban. We packed up and checked out instead of staying the night. We should have been offered a refund.

When we arrived the campground wasn’t very welcoming. We got the last one room cabin and it was nice to have the privacy and the lake was beautiful, but that’s about it. My kids were bored the entire time and the owner was rude. I should have listened to the other reviews before wasting money and time coming here.

Enjoyed time with my family watching the lady fire dancers . My cabin was not handicap friendly , deck and steps were a problem being to high with no railing , the bed also .Had no heat and got very cold , finally got a heater. For the large sum KOA charges for the cabin I feel it should be better equip , at least a toaster and coffee pot . Koa in Muskegon is a lovely spot with the lake.

My five-year-old son had a blast. The cabins were a great option. There was a heater for the cold nights and if it was hot there’s air-conditioning. We all had a great time.

Owners were rude and did not make me feel welcome at all. In fact just the opposite, if I wouldn't have already put down a deposit I would have walked away and went somewhere else

It was too short. We had a wonderful time and all the staff were very helpful and nice. The campground was clean and the cabin we stayed in was also clean, warm and cozy. We had a nice view of the lake and took a wonderful ride on the trail around the lake on our bicycles. We plan to come back for another stay but next time, it will be for a longer visit!

We found this KOA to be less than a 5 star establishment . The internet that was advertised did not work during our visit. When I asked about it the office was rude and dismissive. In general the campground is run down and not maintained to the standard we have come to expect from KOA.

I paid for luxury cabin bathroom door would not close theirs a hole in the blinds people were staying in cabins with no bathrooms in em and public bathrooms were closed the man working the front desk was very rude making kids interlock their fingers before coming in store he said I brang the virus from New York I don’t even live in New York I live in Lansing I live on New York street very rude

Had a great time. Due to COVID pandemic it wasn’t full but still all the extras that were available were open. Great swim area. Friendly nice workers always willing to help or answer questions

The owner runs a tight ship ! Camp ground very clean. Quiet time at 10pm is reinforced. Loved the catch and release fishing, Small and quaint. Nice walking trail around the good size man made lake. Camper's not friendly. Only real complaint is the noise from the expressway at night; easy access off expressway.

The stay was great, however I did not think it appropriate to allow polictal flags or banners to be displayed by other campers during thier stay. Camping should be the one place a person should be able to go to forget the issues of the world for awhile.

Loved the build of the cabin, spent the first few hours cleaning it though. Spilled soda in fridge, toilet was dirty, mattress pad on queen bed had dirt and hair all over it, dining table and chairs needed to be wiped down. Cabin/camp site locations were all very close to one another. Fun catch and release fishing and kids enjoyed the water. Other campers seemed friendly enough great atmosphere

We enjoyed a great stay in a Deluxe Cabin! The cabin was very clean and our boys loved the bunk beds. The campground staff were friendly and very helpful. We will be back!

Love the beach, it is perfect for little children. I enjoyed how quiet it was, if the park was full it would have been too cramped with people. We stayed in dc 2, the plumbing is terrible. The bath will not drain, by the end of your shower your taking a bath, gross. After we checked out the maintenance guy called us and accused us of stealing, and didn’t apologize when he realized he was wrong

We had a wonderful experience at the Muskegon KOA. The camp grounds are very clean with lots for the kids to do, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the fishing was superb! This might the best KOA we have stayed at yet, we would highly recommend this location, it’s minutes from the dunes, downtown Muskegon and from the meijer/Walmart. Can’t beat it!

Terrible customer service, rude comments, and very nasty bathrooms ( not clean ). We booked a cabin for my wife and newborn with the air conditioner and heat. Well come to find out the air conditioner is from 1800 and can't cool a 5x5 cabin under 85 degrees. So we complained and wasn't taken care of so we packed up and left early. Will never go back and will tell everyone to never go there.

Nice KOA, easy to access from highway and good size twin lakes for kids. The jumping pillow is a nice feature.
