Buckhorn State Park includes a number of different environments, ranging from floodplain forest to prairie, savanna and desert-like areas. We encourage you to explore these areas. Personal experience with nature has no substitute. Face-to-face encounters with resident wild animals are the rule, rather than the exception. The Buckhorn Wildlife Area is managed to encourage and preserve wildlife and plant communities typically found in central Wisconsin. Canada geese, herons, sandhill cranes, ducks, muskrats, beavers, otters and mink all frequent the marshes and sloughs. Uplands are home to whitetail deer, coyotes, wild turkeys and even an occasional black bear. Hawks and owls hunt remnant prairies and mixed oak-pine stands in search of mice, snakes, insects and other prey.

Part of the Ice Age National Scientific Reserve, Mill Bluff State Park offers a spectacular view of picturesque rock formations. Campsites, picnic areas, a shelter, hiking trails, and a swimming pond can all be found at this park just outside Camp Douglas.

Come and enjoy a premier tractor-pulling event on the NTPA Championship Pulling Circuit. The Tomah Tractor Pull is one of the country's most prestigious competitions. Pullers, fans, and festival lovers won't want to miss out!

Since 2019, Downtown Thursday Nights (DTN) has been promoting downtown growth and economic development in Tomah by hosting national-touring bands during a six-week, pop-up, summer street concert organized by the Tomah Chamber & Visitors Center. DTN is becoming a well-known, must-attend summer event for locals and visitors while featuring great music, food & drinks, free kid-zone, warm positive vibes, all with FREE admission!All shows are family friendly. No smoking on the grounds.  Must be 21+ to purchase alcohol. Please bring a valid form of ID.

The Warren's Cranberry Festival takes place the last full weekend in September (Friday - Sunday). Booths are open 7 am - 3 pm Friday through Sunday.
