Bar by the pool was not open, grass throughout the campground looked like it hadnt been mowed in months. Golf course was closed. We frequent this KOA often and this was the worst condition it has ever been in. So sad.

The park is going through a ownership transition and this has reduced this koa from a 5 to 3 star rating. The staff and maintenance staff are amazing but are getting no support from the new owner. The new owner is not giving the staff the resources, supplies and support to make this park great again. We are hoping this owner will stop counting pennies and spend the money to keep people safe.

Booked for five and was told it sleeps 7. Only to realize it sleeps 4. The microwave was cheap and wouldn't work. The fridge didn't keep things cold or frozen and the toilet tank didn't work well. Had to push down on the pipe to get it to flush. Reason for my three stars. In general, it's a beautiful place to stay if you get what you bargained for.

I only give it three stars because the previous owner never let the grass look so bad. In addition no upgrades have been done in a long time to the facilities. It is showing its age badly. I thought the new owners may invest in the property.

The campground was everything we wanted and more. The adult pool was wonderful, the dog park was awesome, the wash house and restroom was very clean and kept. The staff was helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back again!!

Staying here for years. This year, grounds have not been maintained, grass hasn't been mowed. Site two trees have been removed not sure why. Rules have changed such as camper storage on site for store-in-use which they don't do anymore. All employee's that we've known for years have been replaced including management staff. Kids are driving golf carts against park rules

Grass not cut but cut at modular home where peeps are away for summer. No umbrella at site. Cable boxes exposed and fuzzy cable. Garbage not picked up. Flooding. Cancelled my Dec 2021 trip there. If park is repaired then we will be back. We liked this park in the past 6-8 stays.

The KOA OKEECHOBEE was a great place to enjoy with family... Now the last couple of times we have been there were very disappointing... The streets are full of pot holes, the grass was almost a foot tall in our site, the concrete pad is dirty there is no pride on the property anymore.. Everyone there just do the basic and have no pride, I would be ashamed to be the property manager of KOA OKEECHO

This was my favorite place to camp and after this last time I don’t think we’ll be back. The grass was so high we saw people cutting their own sites. Our picnic table was so disgusting, I didn’t even put my rug and chairs out. My husband brought his clubs but heard the course has been down for awhile. The bar wasn’t opened and now the reason is computers. Paid a lot for all that’s ad

Though a storm came through, roads were flooded by the bathhouse and most streets at least a foot deep, blocking access to bath houses, it looks as though it’s been an ongoing problem and they need to address it. Got bit by red ants at campsite, grass was in need of a cutting. Thankfully we got a refund Due to leaving early !

Stayed in a cabin. A/C took a long time to cool down. The common areas and camp sites had not been cared for (mowed, edged, & weed eated) in several months. Basically, this place has gone down hill. Don't blame the "Pandemic" for this non maintenance, saw several workers just riding around in golf carts doing nothing.

The entire park was flooded, the place needs major upkeep. On arrival, we found out that the park had been sold. The bar was closed, the gym closed, none of the amenities were available, the cabin was clean but no fire pit, missing chairs. I left after an hour of being in the pork. KOA should pull the franchise if new owners do not plan to fix the park, I should be refunded my stay.

Price is too high with no working amenities..no bar, rained out golf, no golf carts to rent.. inside cabin is nice and that's about it..tooooo expensive..

Stayed in kabin. - advertised as near restrooms. Due to road flooding nearby RR inaccessible. Poor lighting and poorly maintained paths made walk to open RR treacherous in PM. I understand that that flooding could not be controlled but I saw no mitigation attempts either. We were not advised of problems @ check in and or offered to change stay dates, also Adult pool 21+ not 18+(deceptive)

I was very disappointed with this stay. The grass hasn’t been cut in weeks, the roads were flooded with water and pot holes haven’t been fixed since I stayed last year. The mote around the golf course always over floods into the streets at this time of the year.

The campground was too flooded, you need to work on the drainage or find ways to pump the water to the Lake. I was disappointed the golf course and driving range was flooded. The roads around the sites had standing water and the grass was not cut. I was appreciative that I was able to move from my flooded site, to one that was not too wet.

We have stayed numerous times but the quality is falling. The grounds need to be maintained. The overgrown grass and red ants are a problem. The tv channel indicates the Shanty bar is open although it was not. RVers don’t require a lot, we bring our own accommodations and fun…the park Is now overpriced for the area. Don’t know if we’ll be back.

We realize the campground has a new owner. I hope they make a lot of improvements that are very necessary. Right now the campground is very run down and needs a lot of repairs. The pool & tennis/pickleball courts are beautiful. However, the concrete slabs are literally crumpling, electric & cable boxes are in need of upgrading, and grass needs to be weed-eated and edged.

very poor maintenance at the campsite level. A large tree has broken the last eight feet of the concrete pad. The concrete is raised 12 inches and is unusable. Needed 30 ft of sewer hose to reach connection. Koa renting back to back rv’s renting 50 amp reservations with a power box housing one 30 and one 50 amp plug, when asked needed a 50 and didn’t have one, answer was who gets there first g

The Shanty is closed. The golf course is closed. The adult pool is nice. I understand the new owners are slowly making changes but until then, there is little to do.

Park looked run down, streets were flooded, our 30 amp breaker kept tripping under a load of 23 Amps. Golf course looks abandoned and no golf carts were available to rent. I have stayed there many times but i dont think i will any more.

Compare yo another koa this is nota good gulf club dirty grass high pin on table dirty pool area dirty. I went on the morning to the pool after they clean is look like they never clean area dirty the staff running with golf cart but don't do any clean up golf player for kid dirty this place need a lot maintenance old staff

In middle of hurricane Elsa with office abandoned and us never staying due to hurricane & tornado warnings they are trying to charge us for nights we never stayed. Is this where you want to stay? Will not respond to calls and emails. Disappointing��

This KOA looked very unkempt, cracked cement pads with weeds growing in them. Even allowing for a recent tropical storm, there is a serious problem with drainage. Our campsite was partially underwater during our entire stay. The restroom closest to our lot was like an island. You couldn’t even get to it unless you wanted to wade through over ankle deep water. Four thumbs down from this couple.

Staff was courteous and professional. The pool used to have some type of music playing when they didn't have live performers, this didn't happen. When mowing sites, there needs to be some weed cleanup around utilities, I pulled it out by hand. Drainage and holes on road need to be repaired. Stayed 4th of July weekend, we enjoyed it, love the parade.

Disappointed to learn that this campground has been sold. As one of the largest and most successful KOAs, I'm shocked it would be sold to a company that has done nothing since they took it over. Grass was a foot high, weeds everywhere, no working cable, no working wifi, Shanty still not open, and prices remain very high. We've been going to this KOA for 11-years. Total disappointment.

Grass not cut fire ants everywhere. No food to sell in lunchbox. Shanty closed. Les and Deb hung over and couldn’t sing. I have been going there for 10 years. Will never go back

The areas were not maintained, the grass was not cut & we stepped in to several piles of fire ants in which we got bitten up by. So it was disappointing that the lawn were not cut & were not sprayed for the fire ants.

Drainage after rain nonexistent. Part of a group of about 13 sites and one camper had a problem with office saying they checked in Wednesday and was to check out Monday. But they checked in Thursday and were to check out Tuesday. After several trips to your office apparently you agreed to let them stay. Otherwise nice place!

We always have a good time with our family and friends but you need more activities foe kids like music at family pool kids dance party pool games not just music at the adults pool since we can’t bring the kids there more crafts and fun things foe kids and families to do maybe a camp singalong and camp fire and toasting marshmallows

Golf Course has not been maintained and was closed. We had to dig down and remove grass and dirt around the sewer hookup (we had trouble finding it). Very little maintenance evident at camp sites. It is very sad as this used to be a great place.

was told no fireworks yet it happened the whole camp is loud golf carts blaring loud music and nonenglish neighbors cussing me for complaining as they partied all night i came to fish and relax park worker wouldn't tell me where trash dumpsters were either i miss okee-tantee it was quiet no loud music from roads or idiots racing on 441 to keep you up at 3 am this 4th weekend was horrible for me

Camp employees very helpful in answering or assisting with questions. However, the campground itself left much to be desired. Our camp spot wasn't covered in grass like those around us which meant a lot of mud formed when it rained. We were swarmed by flies when we opened food. Adjacent campers did not honor quiet hours. We do not believe political flags should be allowed to be hung at resort.

We’ve been here 7 times and this was the only bad experience we’ve had. The golf course was closed, the shanty was closed and the grounds were not kept up like normal. Bad ants, overgrown sites and weeds everywhere. I heard they sold the property. Bummer because we loved this place.

I’m a long time KOA Okeechobee camper. In short, I was disgusted with campground, the conditions are deplorable. The power did not work on multiple sites. The grass had not been mowed in months. I paid for a premium patio site, the furniture was broken and the grill was missing. I complained to staff and they said, we know this place has gone down the drain with the new owners.

Nice. Only here for two weeks. Definitely caters to long termers. Well kept. 9 hole golf course. Nice small store. Small spot. Can't fit the camper and the car. Not much to do around camp ground.
