At first the staff had me reserved in a spot that my unit would not fit in. Then upon check out April 6th, they did not have me checked out in their computer and a credit issued for unused days until May 7th and several phone calls.

Had stayed there previously and enjoyed it. VERY disappointed this time. Sites have not been maintained, big pot holes in one of the main roads in campground. Unable to access internet, snack bar closed, bar closed, no assistance to find site, work camper in office gave incorrect directions to site, site assigned was too small for our RV...We will not go back any time soon.

Our only disappointment was the condition of the "golf course". From what we understand the new management will be hiring staff to take care of the very high grass around the entire course. We have to say we truly enjoyed your staff at the store - they cook great and keep it very clean. We have stayed with you before and will come again. ty

We were informed that Okeechobee KOA was under new ownership. This was our fourth stay at the resort KOA. It was in the worst condition since we began camping there 3 years ago. Abandoned trailers on site (very detracting), lawn services performed during peak weekend stay times with no cleanup, shuffleboard and putt-putt golf unusable, pool snack bar and Shanty Lounge closed, tardy trash pickup.

When we booked we were told there would be live music over the weekend and that the shanty would be open. Turned out that it was not the case. Also heard that this particular KOA was sold and some staff said negative things and that it was going downhill.

There were plenty of sites. The bathrooms and bath houses were big and clean. The laundry room was very nice and having a dog wash was a nice touch.

Our plans were canceled due to Covid-19 at the last minute! But KOA cancellation policy was 48hrs. or we would lose the $80 site fee! we agreed to stay, But had to move to another site anyway? an unnecessary inconvenience I thought, because there was empty sites all around us, an next to our site! why make us move? had to pay for everything , if you wanted to enjoy the stay, on a premium site?

Not much we can say. We were only there for an overnight stop. Bathrooms were clean.

Have friends who raved about this place. Don't know why. Place was dirty, firepit had trash in it, sites not mowed. Pads broken apart from tree root, bathouse had NO pressure, washers weren't working. Not sure what happened but we were not impressed. Nothing like what we heard. Best part was dog park...my dogs liked it.

We have been coming for over 20 years, we are so sad to see the golf course not being tended to, and the grounds and areas not kept like before, I don't think we will come back.

Advertisements are very misleading. Seemed to have closed some of the amenities after snow birds checked out. We had a backup site in front of golf course. There was a lot of garbage in the water at our site. I did tell the office and asked if they could clean up. No one ever came and picked up. Also our site was not mowed. Please note we had reservations at least a month in advance.

Golf course was a disaster, the bar was closed, the roads had large pot holes and the office personnel didn’t know their jobs. I’ve been going to this KOA for years and whoever took it over is destroying it. Oh, I forgot to mention the numerous water disruptions.

Friendly staff, well maintained, but due to new ownership, the restaurant/ bar was not open. I would come back anyway.

Very upset with the conditions of the park. The golf course was a joke. No bar or food we used to gather there for two weeks with a group for golf, pool and drinks. Plus your daily rate, with no margins, discounts or special was expensive for less it is ridiculous. This will be our last April at the KOA in Okechobee.

The golf course is unplayable. The help is severely understaffed. The camping area itself was good.

The park was very nice though there was quite a bit of noise at night (opening & shutting doors repeatedly, drag racing on the road outside and loud stereo). Other than that it was great. �

A group of 6-10 big rigs meets here every year. No again. We love to play golf,butthe golf course is now a pasture. Use to be $23 a day. Now $21 for 18 holes on a pasture, more weeds than grass. The staff is NOT customer service friendly. They are rude in the mail room especially. Gives a bad name to KOA. Roads are broken concrete and powerful electrical lines lying around, very dangerous.

We have stayed here many times over the years. We are very unhappy with the condition of the park is now. Trying to call the office was quite a hassle and getting my exact site reserved. Upon arriving in setting up we discovered we had no cable TV. I am bored in the office and they told me they would call me the next day and they never did. Very unhappy with the conditions of the roads .

Check In Time 12:00 we arrived at 1:30pm to check in but found a note on the window saying will be back at 2 waited in the hot sun for someone to come and check us in for over a hour.... When employee finally showed up NEVER got any sort of apology for being late..

campground is clean and quiet.If you have a boat or hire a guide it is a great place for fishing.The worst thing for us was 3 days there we were never able to get on wifi.It is a private company but could never log in.

Check in staff was disorganized. Gave me card with one site(415) on it and a map with another (67). #67 was a back in site and I paid for a pull through. Returned to office and it took a lengthy time to get a corrected site (84).

It has changed changed a lot. Part of the attraction to Okeechobee KOA was the shanty and live music by poolside and at night time for entertainment! The roads are in dire need of repair!! Most of the staff was still very friendly and helpful ��� Unfortunately we were looking forward to nighttime entertainment and poolside music . It was a great stay. Loved the site next to the golf course. Lots of shade and fishing was excellent. Also, Liked all the other recreational activities available. Something for everyone. We would have liked to return next year but, unfortunately the site we wanted wasn't available for the timeframe we wanted. We hope to return someday.

It was great for the past 10 years. The transfer of ownership changed everything from a10 to a 3. Nothing is the same. Everything went downhill from the golf courses to the mail delivery.

The WIFI was not working when we stayed. The golf course was overgrown and in bad condition.

Nice. Only here for two weeks. Definitely caters to long termers. Well kept. 9 hole golf course. Nice small store. Small spot. Can't fit the camper and the car. Not much to do around camp ground.
