This is probably our fifth stay at Oscoda KOA. We were very pleased with the new check in service etc. Was ushered into our site and set up without incident. Stay was great as usual. Plan on staying here again every time we visit the Oscoda area.

It was a wonderful stay! The campground is clean, so is the pool. The staff is there for you, very accommodating ....and above all, friendly!

Very nice site (49) backing up to nature / marsh area. A shame the kids couldn’t enjoy some of the amenities due to being closed by COVID. No fault of the campground though.

The only complaints I have was that the power went out for two days due to a storm and the train in the middle of the night was a little rough to sleep through other than that the park was clean and staff was friendly.

First vacation in ten years. My younger kids first vacation ever. The people who work here are super friendly and so very nice. Cabins were clean and check in was easy. My daughter had a tree fall on her cabin and the speed and competency of those who rushed over to check on them and get it cleaned up was amazing. We will be back next year

Oscoda KOA is the best! The staff is wonderful and the park is always clean. We have been coming here for years and will continue doing so!

The first 2 nights we were there people were partying like crazy and getting really drunk. They were partying in one of the roads completely blocking any vehicles from getting through. Then we had a storm that knocked out the power for 2 days which I know this is not koas fault but for 2 days the pool was shut down and I paid for full hookup without electricity. Would write more but it won't let m

A bad storm knocked out power for about 32 hours of our stay, but it wasn't the campground's fault. Overall we liked the campground and it ws a very short drive to the beautiful beach in Oscoda. Also a short trip to Tawas. Kids loved the playground and pool. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is the most of the sites are gravel with dirt patios. It's constant work to keep your camper clean.

This was our first trip camping with our fifth wheel. The staff helped us find our spot as well as directed/guided us while parking it. We lost power for about 30+ hours and the staff kept us updated when we asked. I’d definitely come back and hope that the COVID mandates will be lifted next time so we can see more of the campground and the activities they normally would have.

Had a great stay, power went out on our third day so we had to cut our stay short by one night. Sucked to have to leave early but the battery was going dead in our coach and we didn't have power.

There was nothing entertaining for the kids. We had to leave the campground to find stuff to keep kids busy. The pool is small. The best thing for kids was the train ride. Our site was great! Our neighbors were great and the rangers were very helpful.

It was an ok stay. We've stayed at several KOAs. Our patio was very uneven and literally I broke my foot on it. Ruined our last day.

The campground was nice and well kept. The power went out due to a storm on our second to last day. This was no big deal but I recommend maybe getting a generator in case it happens again so you could power the pool equipment. Having the pool open would have been a nice touch with everyone out of power and without air conditioning. Staff was extremely polite every time I interacted with them.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. The staff was also very professional and helpful!! We are new to camping and the staff in the park gave great advise and were very knowledgeable. 1 question, We had an 11am checkout on Sunday and there was a storm going on and we lost power at app 8am. Do you shut the power off to the sites because of storms? Thank You for everything and we will be back!!

The front office staff was extremely delightful upon arrival. They actually had someone take us to our campground, and show us where all our amenities are located. The resources that were available made our trip that much more inviting including a dishwashing station, pool, and extremely clean restrooms. Definitely planning on coming back to this location. Great job you guys/gals!

No proper security night lighting.....to lazy to pick up trash on site daily....No notice that the assigned site was within 60 yards of a night time roaring train...that came thru again at 4 AM....site was to close to another camper...during COVID 19 should be more than 10 feet. Will never return to this campground...to top it off the electric went out.no info provided..had to leave one day early.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi James, We have proper lighting around all buildings. Lighting in the park has been removed to enjoy the night sky. Due to Covid-19 pandemic we have been advised not to pick up garbage in order to keep our staff safe. You were informed of this and signed an agreement at check in.

A clean and very pleasant place to camp! The owners Mike and Robin are there and always happy to help you! They truly take pride in there campground and we love it there! Can’t wait to camp there again! We would give them 100 stars!!!

Amazing time. Very friendly staff. We enjoy staying every summer. Hard with restrictions this summer and activities cancelled but staff stayed on top of cleaning and we still had a great time.

Stayed during the week, which proved to be a very quiet and restful time. Camp site was convenient and we enjoyed the addition of cable being offered. Definitely would consider returning in the future.

We had an amazing stay. The grounds and pool are kept very clean. The staff was helpful and very friendly. There is a train that we were next to but in 5 nights it came through three times so it was not an issue for us. It was a very short train and it was cool to see up close.

Very quiet campground and even with the virus issues there was still plenty to keep the grandkids entertained while we were there. Our dog enjoyed the dog park as well.

The staff are all so friendly, welcoming, and helpful! They strive to please their guests. Great campsites and a good variety of items at the store. Campground is kept very well. We ended up staying almost another week! Close to trails and town.

Our family really likes this campground. Plenty of trees to provide shade on hot days. If only they could control the weather! �

Hi I my dad has a seasonal site there 35 or 34 it's a great campground friendly owners great location fun playground and clean pool nice dog park and nice shady site I would come here everyday of the the year Please go to this campground

Fun camp for the family. The mining experience doesn't take long, but our son loved it. Very nice dog park area with some agility equipment. Our only complaint was the wood we purchased for a camp fire didn't burn well due to being too wet.
