As always this is an amazing and very clean campground. We had such a great time! Everyone that works there is so nice, especially one of the owners, Mike. He is so helpful and a super-nice guy! They took all the necessary precautions (masks and social distancing) for Covid-19 very seriously, which gave us piece of mind. We had a beautiful deluxe site that we absolutely loved. Our favorite KOA!

The woman who checked us in was very unhappy and seemed upset. The site was not good. Off level and needed grading. People were drinking and very loud until 3:00 am and nothing was done to stop it. We will not go back.

We enjoyed a long July weekend at this lovely, quiet campground nestled in the pines within a five minute drive to Lake Huron, Oscoda,the Au Sable River and the Huron National Forest.

Having 5 children I was bummed to learn nothing was open and no activity were being held for the kids. Had I known that only the pool and playground were open, I probably would have stayed somewhere else that was more kid friendly. I’ve been coming to KOAs for nearly 2 decades and this was probably my least favorite location. The pool isn’t big enough to accommodate the amount of sites/people

Hi Aleana, we have a listing on our website of what is open and closed in the park due to covid. We also go over this via phone conversations. The pool is standard size and accommodates our guest every weekend. We wish you great camping adventures for the rest of your summer. Take care.

I was so happy with every interaction with the staff! Everyone there is so helpful, friendly, and caring. I really appreciated all that they have done to navigate our current pandemic situation. We had a great time with our family during a really challenging time and I know that isn't easy for them to pull off so I am grateful. Also, communication before and during our stay was great.

Unfortunately because of the virus scare tactics from our government, some of the things our grandchildren most enjoyed were not available for them. It's still a great campground and the owner's are very nice.

Great for family. Maybe a section for people who want to stay up later than 11 on weekends and holidays. I did know ahead of time it was a family campground. Very nice. Thank -you for caring how we enjoyed our visit

I expected more from a KOA. I understand that it has probably been dry but the dust and dirt was horrible. Anytime a car or cart went by on the road the dust was so bad we couldn’t breathe. The campsite was no grass just dirt. I would think there would be a way to spray or wet down the roads to keep some of the dust down.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi Tina, unfortunately we had not had rain in over a month, so there is not a way to "wet down" a 40 acre campground. A drought can not be prevented and is 100% dependent upon rain. Our roads were sprayed at the onset of the busy season, but with out rain it was impossible to stop dust from the road

We stayed 2 nights in our Class A Motor Home. Check in was quick and easy.Staff friendly and helpful. We were escorted to our large level site at the very end of a row. Lots of room to walk the dogs. All sites were roomy. Good water pressure and wifi was excellent. This Park is about 2 miles from the beach. We spent time at the very clean beach while in the area. We would stay here again.

Staff was always extremely friendly and helpful. The bathrooms that were open were kept very clean. We look forward to coming back next year.

Amazing location and wonderful amenities. The staff took the pandemic very seriously and were very on top of things with regard to sanitizing & social distancing. The deluxe cabin we stayed in was beautiful and had everything we could need! Highly recommend this campground.

Had a nice time. The weather has been very dry, so lots of dust. Golf cart pulling train and some other staff very fast causes extra dust. A few tweeks needed to update with painting posts and tables etc. Covid 19 regulations were well followed. Thank you for that! Over all great campground

We had a great time at the Oscoda/Tawas KOA - June 2020. Entire staff was super friendly & helpful. There is so much do to at the campground & surrounding areas.. my kids had so much fun.. still talking about it. We’ll be back for sure. Thanks!

Beautiful place close to oscoda and the river. The only issue i had was the flow for laundry. Only 1 person can do laundry at a time. I think allowing someone to put their clothes in the washer and leaver while other do laundry should be ok. Just allow 1 on the room at a time.

We enjoyed the campground despite many things that had to be closed. It was difficult that ice ran out at the beginning of the weekend and there was nowhere to buy it. Other than that, campground was nice and clean

The staff were so friendly and very personable ... they made us feel so welcome! We would and have recommended this KOA to friends and family. We are hoping to revisit this KOA again before fall this year...

People their were very helpful, everything was kept up and clean. Lot was great was worried because it was a back in spot and with 30’ trailer was a little worried but plenty of room to work with swear lot was size of 2. Thanks for everything.

Hi I my dad has a seasonal site there 35 or 34 it's a great campground friendly owners great location fun playground and clean pool nice dog park and nice shady site I would come here everyday of the the year Please go to this campground

Fun camp for the family. The mining experience doesn't take long, but our son loved it. Very nice dog park area with some agility equipment. Our only complaint was the wood we purchased for a camp fire didn't burn well due to being too wet.
