It was great. Everyone working there was pleasant and helpful. The grounds and sites were clean and well kept up. We are definitely going back, as soon as we can. This is one of our favorites after just one visit!

Beautiful views; however, the store hours are not convenient. The check in time is a lot later than other KOAs. Some of the staff could have been more friendlier. I was very disappointed.

Unbelievable views!! The staff was super nice and the amenities were great. I love the private bathrooms. I was so happy there, that I extended the stay. Cant wait to come back.

Awesome location. Multiple boat ramps made it easy to launch and explore the area. Staff was great. Store well stocked. Will definitely return.

The stay was barely okay not solely due to the campground. The bugs were unimaginable. The campground needs a swimming pool. And try some bug control with a spray truck or something. Campground itself has been cleaned up from prior campground. Would probably be okay and cooler months when the bugs are not as bad. The sites are small. We left two days early and others left early due to bugs.

Staff, owners did not tell,call or let us know About the bugs 1 Cost me lots to clean my rv 2 did nothing to take care of the midges (mosquitoes) 3 you can fog that do it in most state 4 did not pick up trash that was left at curb 5 check out early because of bug did not offer any refund 6 we fog the best we could around ower rv at 6.00 per can Used 6 can

A maintenance request was never addressed. Then, daughters rented 2 kayaks ($20/hr(!) for 2 hrs.. a pending storm had current so rough, wasn't safe, even for seasoned paddlers; confirmed by Staff member that helped get crafts back out of water. Though only 20 min of 2 hrs used, refund or credit request was denied.. we were just out $80 - not cool! Lots of Staff riding about on carts, few working.

We were excited to visit but had to leave early. Due to office hrs we sent email(twice) to let them know we had to leave. 5 days later I received a call to see if we were ready to check out. 5 days after we checked out! I also did not receive the email receipt when we paid upon arriving. We will not visit again. Sad because this affects our impression for KOA & we may revisit renewals to KOA.

The person who entered our reservation had the arrive and departure date wrong. Staff was kind when I told them of error. Stayed 7/30-8/4. The bugs were HORRIBLE. Never experiences anything like it before. Spoke to several campers who left early because of them.

weather was mild, a bit buggy. Sunday had tornado warnings- staff at the store did not know what to do or where emergency shelter was. finally found a staff member who called and we were informed it was the shower house. I would suggest during the summer the store stay open past 5pm during the week as the campground is so far from town. also think a pool would make your place a bit more enjoyable

The first think was a lot mosquitoes in my cabinet a lot , second one my bed wet because the air conditioner!!! Was a bad nigth for me and my kids

Great staff, great place! Midges were heavy this weekend, assume that storm on sunday moved them in?!

The place is nice and clean,the front desk personnel is excellent other then we got struck by a tornado everything would have been perfect the only downside is is that is not pool to swim

Reservations were not correct. Requested Site G8 and got WF06. We had requested the G8 site because we had two other sites (WF46 and WF47) which were all together. Reservations were made in March and we told the person taking the reservations which sites we wanted. Store needs to be open longer. 5 o'clock is too early to close. Bugs were awful. Couldn't even sit outside.

This was our third time. The staff was sooo very nice. Last time, a ton of frogs everywhere. This time, bugs/insects ALL over. They swarmed inside our trailer, and it took forever to kill them and clean up. We couldn't eat outside or anything. Spaces WAY too close together. I requested a couple spots. Both spots were available the whole weekend, but we didn't get either one. Unacceptable.

We were unable to utilize shower facilities due to infestation of bugs, the facilities were closed. We were not notified ahead of time or at check in of this situation, or we would have changed our plans. This is first KOA that did not offer trash pickup. Very disappointed.

The campground was very nice and the staff were extremely friendly. The only down side was the amount of bugs that came out at night making it impossible to spend time outside after dark.

Had a great time with friends there. The only 2 things is first I had a little trailer that I hauled my golf cart on with me that was on my lot not bothering anyone and the office made a big issue about it and they sent miss Jacky over to see what was going on and we got everything worked out fine. The other thing is ,it would be nice if they had a swimming pool.. But everything else was great.

Bugs were bad but no fault to the koa that time of year they needed to keep the bath house open instead of closing them due to the bugs just turn the lights off on the outside. But other than that we had a great time and fishing was great 27 white pirch one Crocker and one catfish

Beautiful scenery but the bugs were insane!! We rented a Rv and it was filled upon arriving. The shower had cobwebs. I was very uncomfortable.

Stayed 12 days second year in a row love the place didn't want to leave. Place is amazing and staff is also amazing

Very nice campground. Great sunrise and sunsets. Sites a little tight but not bad. Water pressure was fine. Management very accommodating. Would definitely return.

Waterview was beautiful and it was nice being so close to the water but the sites were really tight and the bugs were aweful.

Pretty view from site, but, way too far from everything we wanted to do.... campground looked like they were trying, but, it still needs some work....Did NOT like the fact that we were told to take our trash to a dumpster instead of being picked up....the dumpster was about a mile from our site off in a field....we don't have a golf cart....very inconvenient. Also, no recycling!!!!

Very boring and the only place to swim is the sound, very dirty. The campground needs a pool and trees planted for shade. If you want to site see it's at least an hour drive or longer depending where you want to go. The campground is about 5 miles from the highway. I would not recommend this campground.

Rest rooms are a long walk from the site we were in. Bugs were terrible the evening we arrived.

My family and I stayed in one of the deluxe cabins. It was a wonderful place. We had a great time and the staff was amazing. The boys really enjoyed swimming in the sound and I enjoyed driving one of the rental golf carts around the camp. Thank you so much for the awesome experience!

The staff was very friendly at check in and at checkout. The camper we rented was not very clean. The floor needed to be swept and mopped. The camper had a huge amount of bugs on the outside which came in every time you opened the door. The bugs were so bad you really couldn’t sit outside. It’s posted on the website about a shuttle to Tim Bucks II but the boat was broke down for are stay.

We have never stayed at a KOA before but definitely plan on returning! We had a fantastic time and the staff was great!

The campground was a disappointment. It took 3 days to get a clogged shower cleared and we had to use the bathhouse which has way too few facilities. The cabin had a mouse and midge swarms. There is no pool or safe place for toddlers to splash. The total deal breaker for recommending was the distance to anything. We averaged 3 hours in the car every single day getting to OBX things to do.

It is a work in progress. A new camp that will take some time to get up to snuff. Trash bins either need to be moved nearer the camp center or be picked up by staff at the sites. Well maintained with plenty of activities. Beautiful ocean views.

The cabin was an excellent value. The location was incredible, and the cabin was comfortable for our family. Having the 2nd bedroom for our son made for very flexible sleeping times. It was so easy to get to the places we needed to go from here. We would definitely stay here on our next trip.

We stayed in the tent area. Our site was nice and spacious, which we chose on a first come basis. We did feel like there could have at least been a porta potty in the tent area; it was pretty far to the bathhouses (1/4 mile from our tent site). Other than that, it seemed like a nice campground.

The campground is great for families. They have a park, piers, dog park, shop, arcade, showers, everything! The customer service has always been great too, the people are kind. I would like to see more trees around the campground. But it was a great stay for a quick camping trip.
