Awesome. Very nice campground.. very helpful personnel. Always available to help. Campground store is very well stocked. Would definitely suggest this KOA. Great doggie area, nice playground. I just can't say enough. You won't be sorry if you get to stop by.

Angie and the rest of the staff are so amazing. We always feel so at home and it's always a blast. Casino night was fun and we're looking forward to all the new amenities and upcoming events!

Wasn’t the fishing trip we were looking for however, awesome waterfront site, enjoyed exploring the area and would love to return But off-season and a cabin instead of the RV. . RENT WAS GOOD! First time in RV. cabin on water next time ;)

There were ants in our cabin. As we attempt to unfold the bed from the couch crumbs were found. There was hair in the shower. There was dirt in the utensil drawer. I washed any kitchen tools before use. When we asked to switch cabins we were told there were no available cabins. However we saw several vacancies. We ended up leaving early because our daughter woke up with inflamed eyes.

Thank you for a wonderful weekend. The staff was so nice and took great care of us. Clean facilities and very friendly staff. The entire weekend was very enjoyable! Looking forward to next year (and maybe before then with some RV folks)!!!! Take care and stay healthy!

The cabin was spotless with everything in working order. The campground did an excellent job creating events/activities and bringing-in vendors to make the weekend special. All of the patio furniture appeared new. Bonfire pits are available to each site. This was our first time stay...we will definitely book reservations in the future. Staff workers were available, friendly, and accommodating.

Everything was wonderful! The activities were so fun and the grounds are beautiful! The only thing I would suggest is to get a more comfortable mattress (queen) for the campers. The mattress was hard as a rock. Even my husband, who can sleep anywhere anytime, complained of it making his hip sore.

First Responder Weekend was a great event. Waterfront stay had the best views. Staff was excellent and attentive. Will come back again

Amazing!! Greatest campsite in nc! No one has better views, larger camp sites or kinder staff! We love this campground and will revisit time and time again! Don’t miss the chance to experience the beauty of Kia outer banks west!

Enjoyed spending Thanksgiving at OBXwest KOA. The people were very helpful and accommodating to ensure our party of campers were located together.

Stayed in a WF cottage. The condition of the unit was clean but a bit disappointing. The window blind was broken and there was a blind missing from the door (which lead to the porch light being visible all night long). The condition of the porch was completely unacceptable - broken screens, bugs, spiders everywhere - could have been easily resolved with a good sweeping. Unit showed lots of wear.

Had a great time. Staff was friendly and helpful. The cottage was beautiful. The only suggestion I have is that the couch should have reclining positions and end tables would be a great fit.

Excellent time! One custodian could have been a little nicer when approaching my children on the jump pad while my husband and I were there supervising our children. He told us to read the rules which we had already done and then continues on to tell us our children were being to rough and that he could deflate the jump pad if they did not stop but overall great time!

Website says site will be assigned at check in, not true. Called and asked if I came a day early, could I pick my site? Was told yes. Arrived, site already assigned. Did not like site, asked to change. Was told no. Most others arriving next day. After push back, site was changed. Seems that others were allowed to pick their own site. Will have to seriously consider return. All else great.

Angie (manager), Thor (maintenance), & Cyndi (events) were just a few of the helpful staff that I had contact with, but all of the staff were super friendly & helpful, the grounds were very well kept, and my cabin was the perfect little getaway for the weekend! To top it all off, they created a "Trail of Terror" in the woods on grounds & it made such a fun activity for all on Halloween weekend.

We come to this KOA as much as possible! We love that it doesn’t have an overwhelming amount of things to do. We come to relax and be outdoors, not be entertained 24/7. The events they do have planned for the kids are very fun

Our 2nd time staying at Outer Banks West and both times were awesome! Love the activities for kids and The Journey of Terror this Halloween weekend!! We will definitely be back again and again.

We were there for Chris Kennedy's FactoryCon. The staff and facilities were great. Some of the provided items were iffy: not enough forks, broken pans, no hand soap.

The staff was excellent, especially Erica. They answered all my odd questions, showed me how to drive a golf cart and helped me find lost items. I needed this get away as I was past frazzled and the staff made my stay a breeze. The cabins are very cute, and of a good size for a short get away. Everything we needed was supplied except the linens (and who want someone else's linens?) Camp store too!

the rating would have been a 5 if there hadn't been so much popcorn in the bunk beds under the mattresses. All the staff was friendly and helpful. For the price I expected a bit more. I've stayed at hotels with similar settings for less that had more handicap access/space, linens, breakfasts, and good internet. We did enjoy our stay and will be returning next year.

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the cabin and the modern facilities. The only complaint is that there should be a latch on the screen door do the outdoors porch. Small children could easily fall out the door and locking it from the inside or outside poses a fire hazard. We will definitely be back again next year.

Enjoyed all of the things to do but thought there was a contest for costumes and site decorations but did not see any way to vote on these things. Had my picks ready but didn't know how to vote! Enjoyed it all anyway! Will definitely do it again

We stayed in a deluxe cabin that was very nice inside and the view of the Currituck Sound was absolutely fantastic. This campground is spacious and offers many places to relax in solitude. We will definitely visit this KOA, again.

KOAOBX is by far our favorite KOA to stay at! The Deluxe Cabins are all located on the water so you get a beautiful full from sun up to sun down! The staff is always super friendly and there is almost always some kind of weekend event going on as well. It's pet friendly so we can take our lady dog with us and she can feel comfortable while we're out swimming in the sound or riding golf carts.

Stayed in a cabin and had to clean it before we could sit outside because it clearly hadn’t been cleaned in months. Inside had cobwebs hanging everywhere and floor wasn’t even swept. For the price, this is NOT something we should have to do. We told the office, but they didn’t offer to come and clean anything ���‍���

We stayed in your Deluxe Cabins and the inside was great, however, the outside porch and exterior needed a good scrubbing. The frying pans need to be replaced also.

Nice campground overall enjoyable. Lots of fishing spots. Short drive to Outer Banks. Deluxe cabins could have been cleaner on the outside and porch. Floors needed to be mopped. Grill was full of ashes.

I was disappointed at the lack of upkeep at the cabins - the screened porch and table set were covered in cobwebs and leaves and the screen was plastered with bugs. The porches/cabins should be blown off or pressure washed more often. The inside was a little cleaner, but there were still cobwebs and the baseboards/floors were filthy.

This is one of our favorite kampgrounds! The deluxe cabins have everything you need and it's like a home away from home. Pet friendly means we can take our senior old lady fur baby with us so she isn't left out. The staff is very friendly and the grounds are kept very clean and it has the most beautiful views! 10 outta 10, totally recommend!

The campground is great for families. They have a park, piers, dog park, shop, arcade, showers, everything! The customer service has always been great too, the people are kind. I would like to see more trees around the campground. But it was a great stay for a quick camping trip.
