No beach Patios are in the rear of the camper sites are very tight camp store was out of a lot of stuff I have to travel 16 miles to the Dollar General for bottled water

Well we were directed to the camping spot behind the store....when we get our tent out an put up some guy on a golf cart tells us we were in the wrong spot so we stayed one night left early the next morning and I didn't even get my money back for the next night we didn't even stay

Deluxe cabin was perfect for our weekend. The food truck rodeo was a great treat. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Absolute paradise! Gorgeous views, very friendly staff, perfect cottage, activities galore. Spent most of the week swimming, paddle boarding, floating in the sound which was warm, clean and so much fun! Easy drive to Kitty Hawk which is a beautiful beach. Lexi and Graham are just the best and made our stay so fun! We stayed 5 nights, but next time we will do 7. We didn’t want to leave.

We stayed in the back in sites with the patios that are inland. We love those sites. Plenty of room for our large 5th wheel and for all our things. Clean facility and lots for kids to do. The staff that was there was very helpful. Although, I wish there had been more staff to allow for an escort to our site and longer hours at the store. Hopefully next year you will be able to get more staff!

We loved that there was so many activities for the kids, crabbing, slip and slide, water activities and the food truck were their favorites. I do wish the activities had start to end times not just start times. There wasn’t much help finding our site from the front staff and not many employees during the week until the weekend came, The campground was clean, well kept and updated.

The Outer Banks West KOA is beautiful! The sunrise and sunset views over the Currituck Sound are amazing. The campground is clean and well taken care of. Our kids had a great time playing in the sound and we look forward to returning!

Love this campground however some areas of concern. Our neighbors dogs barked from early a.m. until late p.m. when they returned. Pet policy? Trump 2024 flags...this is not an election year and Trump was involved in sedition against USA. Flag policy regarding messaging of flags. Neighbor handwashed his entire camper. Policy?

Very clean facilities! Had no problems with water pressure as others seemed to have had on reviews. Beautiful playground and volleyball court. Main complaint is hours of store/grill. They closed the cafe except for ice cream two hours before the posted time on the Friday we were there. Staff member (Hannah?) said they were short staffed. Pool or sandy beach water access would be great

It is a good campsite but no shade and the bugs were horrible. We got the discounted price and will come back again on that price. I don't like how high the rates are if not at the discounted price. Owners were very nice.

The campground and facilities are very clean. Campsites are super small and campers are on top of each other (maybe 10 ft from my door to them).Neighbors sewer hookup and electric are basically in your lot. The 'permanent sites' have the good water front views and access to fishing. Others have the marsh area. If you are a beach goer- be prepared to drive a lot. We more than likely won't be back.

The campground is nice. It is clean and well kept. It is a little too tight and too many spaces too close together for our liking. I have nothing negative whatsoever to say about the campground staff.

We enjoyed it. Staff are very cordial and try to be accommodating. Please try to give the lady in the store more help. She was by herself until 1:00 pm on Saturday. Not ok. She was very apologetic but it was not her fault.

Awesome experience. The maintenance staff even recovered the surge protector that I left behind. I will definitely bring my boat next time.

Bedding on pull out couch needed changed, did so promptly, The collections of items under the couch, led us to believe it had not been swept there for several stays. Other than that it was a great time! Great space for kids! Suggest some seating closer to jump pad so we could keep an eye on little ones.

This was our 2nd stay here. We had a waterfront site overlooking the sound this time. Though it didn't effect us, there is only one bath-house. As was the case with our stay last summer, the water pressure leaves something to be desired; however, it will NOT stop us from coming again next year. My husband would like to make OBX West/Currituck Sound KOA our annual stay for his birthday.

This was our first visit here it was one of our best vacations we are already planning a return trip this year. All staff we encountered were wonderful. Lots of things to do simply wonderful time !!

The cabin we got was awesome. Really surprised us. The porch was the breakfast spot. We were really set back due to a charcoal grill not being present. Staff said reason was itvwas too close to the water… right next to a firepit ring? A handle for getting out if the tub would have been nice since you have a high wall tub and stepping below tub floor elevation. But alll in all my family enjoyed

Sites are lovely, but amenities were basic. Several amenities listed on website were not available (boat shuttle to Corolla, inflatable obstacle course). No pool. Overall price was a bit high for lacking advertised stuff. Store is only open until 5 during the week. We did appreciate the late checkout, though.

The campsites closest to the water are exceptionally tight. The sites on the inland side are very accommodating but absolutely no shade. The full hook ups were excellent. There isn’t a pool and an hour away from the beaches. The sound doesn't have swim areas for kids. The depth ranged from 6’ one day to 4’ the next so kids who dont swim are out of luck.

The site that I was on was to narrow for my camper. Could not use my awning because of being to close to camper on that side. Other than that camp ground was good. Could really use a pool though. Very tight as far as camp sites was concerned also.

We enjoyed our stay overall at this campground! The rental RV was fairly clean upon arrival and spacious. The campsite was a great corner lot with a lovely deck and a viewHowever, there was a foul smell with every flush of the toilet. As well during our first night of our two night stay there was a CO2 alarm that went off for two hours, there was no line to call so we had to google how to fix it.

Love how quiet and peaceful it was. Very nice people that work here. Like the nature trails. Good fishing and adventures out in the sound!!

Beautiful sites and views. Store hours-very limited. Bath houses - always dirty & needed cleaning. Rental RV had some serious issues - 2x during our stay (2 nights) the heat suddenly turned on full blast and it was miserable - thermostat was obviously broken -2nd time we turned off the gas. Oven was broken (did get a call prior to visit). Bed hard as a rock - bring a mattress topper.

We had a blast! Will definitely be back, possibly for a seasonal stay! Staff was great, neighbors were friendly, amenities were well kept, and the golf cart rental was a lifesaver. Thank you guys for an awesome weekend.

The staff was pleasant and accommodating. The site views were beautiful but getting a 36’ trailer into our particular site was challenging because of proximity to other opposing site and location of electrical pole and sewage connection. Also it was a tight fit getting the vehicle on the site.

I didn’t like the back in sites. They are tight and you don’t have any privacy. fortunately we were moved to a better site. The other issue we had was water pressure. It was like taking a shower from a garden hose at best. Other than that, we had a lovely time in the activities we’re good for the kids.

The elder staff was very rude. The man rode around questioning our son twice asking if he had his drivers license while operating the golf cart once was when he had been in the water all day as if he swims with his drivers license. The elder lady that works in the gift shop was always very short tempered, rude and very unknowledgeable about events, her response was always find Lexy and ask her.

The campground is great for families. They have a park, piers, dog park, shop, arcade, showers, everything! The customer service has always been great too, the people are kind. I would like to see more trees around the campground. But it was a great stay for a quick camping trip.
