Website should be updated with the status of the boat shuttle. Charging a resort fee is ridiculous considering the lack of resort amenities

We had a wonderful stay. The campground was clean and very quiet. We had an issue with the cable, not the campground's fault, it turned out to be our TV, your employee to check it out was very professional and pleasant to deal with. We will be back again.

We enjoyed the campground and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, there was one problem we encountered while there that caused me to only give four stars. Our neighbors would go away for the day and left their dog in the camper. It would bark the entire time (6 + hours) and we could not sit outside our camper to enjoy the outdoors. Otherwise, we enjoyed our visit.

We had a wonderful time. From food trucks to Bands and lots of swimming/paddle boarding, we couldn’t of asked for a better getaway. Our site was J4 inland which was very spacious. Will definitely be back.

Campground was fine, unfortunately weather didn't cooperate. So didn't have much time to enjoy outside the camper. But staff and facilities were very nice.

We wanted to like it, but we didn’t like it. There wasn’t a beach area to go hang out. We tried to swim but the dead bugs on the water were not appealing so we left and went to Nags Head instead. The bugs were unreal and we couldn’t stay outside for long. No pool or activities so we left a day early. This campground is NOT worth $129 per night. Maybe $45-60.

We are sorry you did not have a good experience and we appreciate your feekback on the activities. We will meet with the Rec Team and see how we can make the activities better for our guests. The bugs are definitely a nusiance here in the area. Please come back to visit as we are worth the drive.

This was our 1st visit since it was the "Hampton Lodge" 45 years ago. Quite a difference, you are heading in the right direction. Looking forward to our next visit.

Waterfront RV site with family in a cabin nearby and another friend in RV site near us. Thanks for figuring placement out. Nice. Many activities however we did few. Two days of bad weather and bugs but no one could control that. Clean KOA. Nice staff. Loved the GM on site.

We had a great time! Second visit in May. Water pressure was 100% improved! We were a late entry in the golf cart parade and came in 2nd place!! Thanks for another great stay

Loved the spot we had. Loved the view. The staff was so amazing, especially Dave. The biggest downer was the lack of amenities. I don’t stay at state parks because I like all the amenities and activities at a campground. However, I do realize this is their first full season and that there are plans for expansion. Maybe a little pricey until those amenities are available.

Nice campground. Sites are packed a little tightly together and the patio was a wooden deck set behind the motorhome. Prefer an actual pad at the door so you're not tracking sand inside all the time. Neighbors did not understand the meaning of only playing your music so you can hear it on their first night but someone complained and they were told to shut it down.

Only disappointment was the water taxi was not running and that was the reason we choose to stay there but stay was very nice and grounds were well taken care of.

Beautiful views with great potential. Playground was great. Staff was rude with degrading nasty attitudes. Amenities weren’t available as advertised. Sandspurs and bugs were horrible.

I usually tell all of my camping friends about new campgrounds I find but I am keeping this one a secret…..if you want a camping trip to just take it easy and relax, this is the place to go! Please know, like other beach campgrounds, there are few trees, wind, bugs and on the weekends when the campground is full, the water pressure is minimal. Plan accordingly and you will have a great time.

Crummy campground. Dirt roads, need gravel, trash dumpster too far away, no trash pick up at camp sight, poor amenities for the price. Road in too narrow for RV’s,

Thank you for your feedback. The wind here is unpredictable. Trash bags blow away and attract our bear, so we ask folks to use our dumpsters. Our mission is to provide guests with a memorable experience and we hope you give us another try.

Great stay. A bit dusty. Sites especially WF ones are a bit tight. The bugs Midges are rough. But a really nicely layed out campground. Good amenities. Very friendly and professional staff.

Normally KOA staff is very friendly and try to accommodate as much as possible. The activity coordinator was the only friendly person we came into contact with during our stay. Company also needs to post updates on available amenities according the the day of the week, month etc. For a remote location the store was only open on the weekend, we were told due to staffing. I was hoping we would love

The campground is vast and adequate space between sites. Need a much better store. Also I was expecting some kind of beach for sitting on-not swimming off a pier. Swimming pool would be nice. We enjoyed our stay but based on other KOA’s we have visited, this ones amenities fell short. Staff was wonderful and helpful. The water pressure was non existent. Advertising suggests it is on or near the beach, yet it is 30 miles away. Very disappointed, no pools, no beach, old people can't necessarily climb ladders to take a dip, nothing to do for older folks with no kids, and an uneasy feeling We will not be back. Shortened our trip there by three days and moved onto Virginia Beach KOA. Very much better and accommodating! Thank you!

We were unhappy with the spacing of the sites and being able to look in your neighbor's windows and hear all of their conversations. We also had very low water pressure, did not see any activities, so between high winds, white caps, and bugs, it all added up to a dismal vacation. We left four days early, deciding not to torture ourselves any longer, and went to stay at a nice state campground.

The campground, even though it is early spring, is infested with bugs. The water pressure is to low. All of the roads and every site needs to be re-groveled. The extreme lack of gravel makes the entire campground dusty and dirty. Not one staff member came over to our site to welcome us or ask how we were doing. Your staff members need to obey the posted 10 mph speed limit - they do not! Some are.

Thank you for your feedback. We hate the bugs too! The water pressure has been resolved. We have not had rain since April and it does make our roads dusty. Fortunately, we lease our golf carts and they all have a low speed feature on them. Our front desk staff gives a big Welcome to all our guests and we hope you had a great experience with us.

Our family loved every minute of our stay. Many activities for our kids to stay busy and enjoy their selves. Nothing to complain about but a pool would definitely top this campground off. We will be booking for next year without a doubt.

Very pleasant. Recommend KOA rake sites before campers arrive. Also recommende adjusting water pressure - very limited. As you continue to add on, a basketball area would be nice as well as a pool. Teens need something to do & they normally enjoy basketball. Thank you for your kindness.

The one big problem we had were the bugs. Not the fact that there were a lot of them it was the bathrooms. We are PUP campers so we rely on bathrooms and you could not walk in the door because they were coated with bugs and then when you go inside the wall and the ceiling was also coated with bugs and the floor, sink and toilet were coated with dead bugs. Motion lights inside and moving lights out

The bathrooms were unacceptable due to the amount of flies, gnats and bugs that were all over the bathroom.

The campground is great for families. They have a park, piers, dog park, shop, arcade, showers, everything! The customer service has always been great too, the people are kind. I would like to see more trees around the campground. But it was a great stay for a quick camping trip.
