It's obvious the ownership cares about the campground and the people who come to camp. Great employees, everyone was friendly and helpful. Well planned and executed activities for all ages. We look forward to coming back again.

Very peaceful with beautiful views.. this time of year(aug) it apparently was very “buggy”. They do not bite but swarm every thing. Staff kind and out going. Need to allow site selection so when pick waterfront you are not stuck in the marsh side. Loves the water and floating with friends.

Staff was friendly. Lots of litter left behind by previous occupants. TV was missing the three major networks. Staff was unsure as to whether anything was being done. “The TV guy was here a couple of weeks ago, he looked around, and everything seemed alright.” “I have to ask the maintenance man, but he’s moving a heavy object right now.” General Manager was to have called me. Never did.

Nice location on the bay recreation you could rent kayaks and paddle boards. Nice for fishing, swimming in bay or boat ramp. It would be a huge bonus if there was a ferry to take you across to the beach. Closest beach is almost an hour and there is no pool.

We had a great stay! All campgrounds have their pros and cons but the pros outweighed the cons because this was our 2nd time visiting in 2 months. A couple cons: I paid extra to lock in our site so it was guaranteed but when we went to check in our site was given to someone else. They need a better way to lock in sites.

This is our second year coming here and was hoping the first year was a learning curve for management-I was wrong. Camping is fun not matter what and the location may bring us back next year. However, the staff isn't great and does not provide the community feeling we enjoy at other campgrounds. Check-in has been a nightmare both years and management is horrible when issues arise.

We had a beautiful waterfront lot which we enjoyed. The area is very calming and peaceful. Unfortunately there were tiny knat-like bugs that were everywhere all morning and late afternoon/evening. The workers were friendly. The wifi needs a boost but is helpful if you want to "unplug". We enjoyed our stay and Hope to be back.

Was pleasantly surprised, our first visit. We were in one of the pull through sites so away from the busy part of the campground. Lots of great places to walk our dog and we liked the walk along the bay. Do need to either have trash pick up or dumpsters with easier access. And maybe more restrictions on golf cart usage late at night. A pretty campground.

It’s a very clean campground but it has no pool of the kids cause you have to travel a distance to the beach. The other things was to mass amount of bugs, could not even sit outside at night at all without getting bit up, even with bug spray and candles lit.

Stay was great! Awesome site views and staff. The only thing that was an issue was the bugs…not much you guys can do about it but it does may cause pause and think about coming back

Pretty quiet campground. Great for our first trip with our travel trailer. We had a fun first day swimming on the dock, jumping on the jump pad and playing at the playground. Bugs came out in force the 2nd day and going out to the pier to go swimming was like a horror movie being swarmed in every direction. Everyone was really nice, pizza was good from the camp store!

The staff was wonderful. Every staff member we spoke to had a cheerful attitude. The views were beautiful. The bugs that came out in the evening were absolutely awful. We could not enjoy evenings outside due to them. Nothing that we did helped. Overall we enjoyed our time and will return!

Even though it rained pretty much the entire time, I was still happy we came. A pool would be a great edition.

There were plenary of activities to keep campers entertained (young & old)! Water was right there and easily accessible. People were friendly and helpful. The only slight down side was where we were in the campground, there seemed to be lots of gnats, but that may have been due to the rain & the habitat close by. Would definitely recommend it though! Did I mention there were many activities?! Lol

Too heavy in bugs. KIA should spray. Water pressure is 28 psi or lower… too low. Don’t appreciate the trash bins being so far off the road.. difficult to stop with RV on the way out and walk 500 yards.. y’all need to offer site pickup on checkout days. Didn’t appreciate the lady driving in the golf cart yelling at campers to take their trash themselves. Also, no enforcement of campers encr

The property really needs to have more structure and better bug control for the area. Mosquitoes and spiders dominate everything. No trash service like most campgrounds, dumpster area doesn't have turn around space for a rig. Events may or may not happen or be on time if they do begin as scheduled. Employees living on site party with guests telling how mismanaged the property is. Not worth the cos

Bugs were absolutely horrible. Hard to go outside during the day, impossible at night. I'm still cleaning dead bugs from my truck and camper just from opening the doors to go in or out. First time we've ever packed up and left early. We would never return.

Bugs. So many bugs. I feel like they could spray for them to help alleviate the amount but it was ridiculous. I would not stay again unless I rented a cabin.

I get that the bugs are not created issue by koa. So I can tolerate it to some extent. But with that said can you spray to kill them can you provide bug zappers or scented candles some type of action would show some good faith. Sites are very tight most are level but mine was not. You show up to a locked door and a box with late check in even though the sign on the door says they should be open.

We had a great time! Breeze was refreshing, water was cool with sandy bottom and all staff were very friendly. Special thanks to the manager and her husband for all their help and to Jackie for being so sweet and welcoming. Enjoyed karaoke night and dancing. The only thing that would have made it better would to have had a swimming pool - like seeing beneath the water. : ) Will return!

Left early because of thousands of fuzzybill bug invasion outside and inside Everytime the door opened. Also one member of our family cut hand significantly when she grabbed step instead of rail on steps at end of swim pier. Enjoyed fall camping here without bugs in past.

Was disappointed that there was no pool or swimming area. I have been to many camp grounds from south to north and have not been to one that the camp store closed at 4pm during the week, 8pm on weekends. This was our first stay at a KOA camp ground we have always heard how nice and that there were the best to stay at, to be honest I was very disappointed and not sure if I would stay at a KOA again

It was great. Everyone working there was pleasant and helpful. The grounds and sites were clean and well kept up. We are definitely going back, as soon as we can. This is one of our favorites after just one visit!

Beautiful views; however, the store hours are not convenient. The check in time is a lot later than other KOAs. Some of the staff could have been more friendlier. I was very disappointed.

Unbelievable views!! The staff was super nice and the amenities were great. I love the private bathrooms. I was so happy there, that I extended the stay. Cant wait to come back.

The stay was barely okay not solely due to the campground. The bugs were unimaginable. The campground needs a swimming pool. And try some bug control with a spray truck or something. Campground itself has been cleaned up from prior campground. Would probably be okay and cooler months when the bugs are not as bad. The sites are small. We left two days early and others left early due to bugs.

We were excited to visit but had to leave early. Due to office hrs we sent email(twice) to let them know we had to leave. 5 days later I received a call to see if we were ready to check out. 5 days after we checked out! I also did not receive the email receipt when we paid upon arriving. We will not visit again. Sad because this affects our impression for KOA & we may revisit renewals to KOA.

The person who entered our reservation had the arrive and departure date wrong. Staff was kind when I told them of error. Stayed 7/30-8/4. The bugs were HORRIBLE. Never experiences anything like it before. Spoke to several campers who left early because of them.

weather was mild, a bit buggy. Sunday had tornado warnings- staff at the store did not know what to do or where emergency shelter was. finally found a staff member who called and we were informed it was the shower house. I would suggest during the summer the store stay open past 5pm during the week as the campground is so far from town. also think a pool would make your place a bit more enjoyable

Reservations were not correct. Requested Site G8 and got WF06. We had requested the G8 site because we had two other sites (WF46 and WF47) which were all together. Reservations were made in March and we told the person taking the reservations which sites we wanted. Store needs to be open longer. 5 o'clock is too early to close. Bugs were awful. Couldn't even sit outside.

This was our third time. The staff was sooo very nice. Last time, a ton of frogs everywhere. This time, bugs/insects ALL over. They swarmed inside our trailer, and it took forever to kill them and clean up. We couldn't eat outside or anything. Spaces WAY too close together. I requested a couple spots. Both spots were available the whole weekend, but we didn't get either one. Unacceptable.

We were unable to utilize shower facilities due to infestation of bugs, the facilities were closed. We were not notified ahead of time or at check in of this situation, or we would have changed our plans. This is first KOA that did not offer trash pickup. Very disappointed.

The campground was very nice and the staff were extremely friendly. The only down side was the amount of bugs that came out at night making it impossible to spend time outside after dark.

Had a great time with friends there. The only 2 things is first I had a little trailer that I hauled my golf cart on with me that was on my lot not bothering anyone and the office made a big issue about it and they sent miss Jacky over to see what was going on and we got everything worked out fine. The other thing is ,it would be nice if they had a swimming pool.. But everything else was great.

Bugs were bad but no fault to the koa that time of year they needed to keep the bath house open instead of closing them due to the bugs just turn the lights off on the outside. But other than that we had a great time and fishing was great 27 white pirch one Crocker and one catfish

The campground is great for families. They have a park, piers, dog park, shop, arcade, showers, everything! The customer service has always been great too, the people are kind. I would like to see more trees around the campground. But it was a great stay for a quick camping trip.
