Sip & Paint Weekends at Ludington East / Pere Marquette KOA
Looking for a fun and relaxing way to spend a summer weekend at the campground? Our Sip & Paint Weekends at Ludington East / Pere Marquette KOA Holiday combine creativity, great company, and a relaxing Northern Michigan atmosphere. Whether you’re an experienced painter or picking up a brush for the first time, our guided Sip & Paint events with a local artist are designed for everyone.
Each session is a laid-back experience where guests can enjoy beer and wine tastings while they paint, socialize with fellow campers, and create a unique piece of art to take home. It’s the perfect mix of campground fun, creativity, and relaxation after a day of exploring Ludington, the Pere Marquette River, or Lake Michigan.
Our Sip & Paint events take place during select themed weekends throughout the summer season.

May 30, 2026 – Gone Fishing Weekend
Kick off the summer with a relaxing painting inspired by fishing, rivers, and the outdoor lifestyle that makes the Pere Marquette River area so special.
June 27, 2026 – Wet N’ Wild Weekend
Cool off with a splash of creativity! This weekend’s painting will feature fun summer water themes perfect for the warm days of early summer.
July 11, 2026 – Nature Weekend
Celebrate the beauty of Northern Michigan with a nature-inspired painting featuring trees, wildlife, or scenic landscapes.
August 20, 2026 – Grandparents Weekend
Spend quality time with family while painting together. This special Sip & Paint is perfect for grandparents, kids, and everyone in between.
September 12, 2026 – Fall Into Camping Weekend
As the air begins to cool and fall approaches, enjoy a cozy evening painting seasonal scenes inspired by autumn colors and campfire nights.
A Perfect Campground Evening
Our Sip & Paint events typically take place Saturday evening, giving campers the chance to unwind after a full day of campground activities. All painting supplies are provided, and our local artist will guide you step-by-step through the painting process.
While you paint, enjoy beer and wine tastings in a fun, social atmosphere. It’s a great way to meet other campers, try something new, and make lasting memories during your stay.
Spaces for Sip & Paint are limited, so be sure to sign up when you arrive at the campground or watch for sign-up details during your themed weekend.
