We had a wonderful time at the KOA. They have outstanding programs for the kids and there are so many kids there! Staff were all wonderful. The store seemed pretty overpriced and was out of quite a few needed items. I was also surprised that they charged $1 per person for the tractor wagon ride that was free last year. Finally, there is one bathroom in the entire campground, which is far for some!

I'd love it if you would do a couple of things: 1) let people know the constant activities (and accompanying "joyful" noise) you have for kids. That way people with/without kids can manage expectations. 2) give people an opt out option for the texts. Yes I wanted cinnamon rolls, no I didn't want the other 12 texts every hour for the kids activities. Love what you do, it just wasn't for us.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Very clean and well maintained. Very kid friendly. We had a pull thru spot which was very convenient and easy in and out. Great for one night but the beautiful spots are back in , located on the upper level. Would opt for a campsite on top level next time.

Very nice campground. The campsites are very spacious. There was a lot of activities and they sent several texts to keep everyone informed of the activities. The only bad part was the GPS confusion as warned. It is tough for a first time visitor and took me on the rough roads. Study the route before head that way, stay on US31 and MI10 highways most of the way.

Really enjoyed stay, was disappointed that there was very spotty WiFi and no cable when websites says there’s both. This won’t stop me from coming back however. Steve was a pleasure to interact with at the camp store and plenty of activities for kids.

Enjoyed all the activities but the bathrooms were few and far between. I don't mind vault bathrooms but they need to be maintained. The hike down to the other bathrooms from our site was long.

Nice camp ground off the main highway. I gave a 4 and not a 5 because I think it was way overpriced. $80 for a tent site is outrageous. Also you are not allowed to bring your own firewood so they charge $8 per bundle.

Nice enough sites, some more private than others, owners are very friendly, helpful and accomodating. Less than great because of VERY limited internet.

Everybody great! Place is neat and clean. Well staffed. Lots of activities for children and adults. Make sure to choose your site and or talk over what you like before you get there. We were facing our neighbors and on the children side of the park. Probably would have chosen a different lot.. There are many beautiful sights to choose from. Great place for multi family get togethers.

Great place for families!! Tons of kid centered activities offered all day long, clean pool and campground. Friendly and knowledgeable staff know the area well and work hard to make your stay enjoyable. Can't wait to go back!!

Fantastic customer service. Very impressive. We had a water line break in the middle of the night and the response by the maintainer crew was almost immediate. The whole thing was fixed and cleaned up by the time we awoke the next morning.

Very Friendly, very nice people. You might want to change who gets all your texts. I thought I was in a remake of “Dirty Dancing” with all the hourly text announcements but I can see how that would be wonderful for families with Kids. This was one of the Best KOAs that I have stayed at in Michigan. Loved the wine tasting!!!

We love this campground! This year there were so many upgrades to the campground - new water spigots by the cabin, improved showers which were great, more cabins, great activities and crafts for kids, a new castle playground! The staff and owners are so kind and helpful - no question is too small! We will be back again next year!

Always a great time at the Ludington KOA! Campground owners Lydia And Joel and their staff are always nice and accommodating and always make us feel like family when we are there! Looking forward to our next visit in the fall!

Stay was great. Our children are grown and gone but there were kids in our group. Plenty of activities for them to do. My only comment...add another bathroom/shower down in the area where the tent sites are (around sites 41a, 42a-b). While we had full hook up and were able to use our facilities, we had tents and pop ups in the area and that was a long, dark walk to the office during the night.

Loved everything except the Internet service. We stayed a full week with the expectation of having internet service to work during the week but it was difficult at best and most times not available at all.

Such a great time! I do wish the 209 lot had the ability to keep the fan on without a light on. It made for uncomfortable nights when they could've been cool. I would definitely come back in the fall or spring!

First time guests at this location. Will come again but will stay in a different area of park. Kinda upset that it’s called Ludington KOA but is 30 to 40 minutes away from downtown area and beaches. But overall a great stay and owner and staff were super friendly and helpful and have lots of things to do.

Nice ownership and staff. Nice facility but first holiday koa I’ve seen without a fishing pond and internet. Clean showers and bathrooms. Ludington about 20 minutes away.

We got in super late and the staff was really friendly and guided us to our campsite. The campsite was amazing (RV full hookups). The camp store was well stocked, clean bathrooms and showers as well as laundry facilities. The pool was super nice and they had a lot of activities going on for kids. Close to the city of Ludington as well. Definitely recommend!

Everyone was nice, and helpful. We enjoyed our stay in a rustic cabin. My teens loved the pool and it was right by our camp so I could easily see them , which was nice too

Not enough bathrooms for the number of campsites, they were very nice, just not enough of them, often had to wait to use the facilities. Someone other than our party made a charge to our campsite, and the staff member we talked to could not do anything about it. Saw many young kids just charging to sites without proof of site number, I do not think kids should be allowed to charge like that.

Everyone was very nice, but the campsite should not be called Ludington. We felt a little bamboozled by that. Also, you need more bathrooms.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

KOAs are named after the city/town they are near. If we had our choice we would call it Middle of the Manistee National Forest KOA. :) It is useful to check out the KOA map when you are booking as well.

Were only able to stay 2 nights over July 4th weekend, but had to reserve 3 nights & refused refund for 3rd eve upon checkout on Sat am. July 4th is NOT a 3 day holiday - EVERYBODY returns work on Monday, aside from vacationers booked multidays. People not on holiday are penalized. I’d like a refund. Also, movies blaring past 12AM is unacceptable. Pool should close at 10. Office needs open at 8.

Thank you for your suggestions. All our Holidays do require a 3 night stay. You are welcome to come up any other weekend and we have only a 2 night min stay. We hope you enjoyed the 30 min firework show that pushed the movie back until 11 PM. It was a wonderful 4th of July.

Customer Service was excellent. Lydia, Steve and crew went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and easy. The Amish cinnamon buns were delightful. The cabin we rented was clean, cozy and smelled like a pine dream. Personally we prefer a little more isolation and woods when camping but otherwise it was great!

An enjoyable time at a campground that provides rustic beauty and plenty of relaxation. Staff is awesome in all respects, and always trying to determine if there is something more that they can do to make your stay pleasant.

We didn’t realize it was in the forest. Mostly there was all mud or dirt there. There was no path for riding bikes. We been to other koas and can’t believe this is a koa we are shocked. Would not come again.

There are over 20 paths in the forest and all around us here in the Manistee National Forest. We are always happy to help you find what you are looking for via text or just stop in the office. Yes we are in the wood and yes we are ALL about Camping!

Enjoyed our camping experience at Ludington KOA. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The site was well maintained. Enjoyed the activities and the movie under the sky.

We had a great time at this well run KOA. The hosts and staff were very friendly and attentive, and the campground has a lot to offer for guests. We were looking for nature and isolation and enjoyed the upper part of the campground with a site that bordered the national forest. We could go hiking directly from our site. In the middle we're some nice amenities like sites with patios, swings, and fire pits. Then the lower part of the campground was very well set for families with playground equipment, the pool, a jump pad, games, and even an outdoor screen where they did movie night with a bonfire. There was also a nice dog park where our pup could stretch her legs. Overall we enjoyed the variety offered at the campground, and the welcoming staff. We'll definitely be back.

We love camping here. We drive almost 4 hours to make it here, it is definitely worth every single penny spent. They are very affordable and attentive to your needs.
