My son and I had a nice weekend on the creek. Enjoyed the pool, mini golf, and fishing while we camped.

The hospitality of the KOA staff was unbelievable. From organizing events for children to on site garbage collection, they really made it easy to kick back and relax. If you forgot something at home, chances are it's in the store at an affordable (not hiked up) price! I can't say enough about the site an all the amenities. My favorites- hearing live music at the pool and then renting a canoe!

The bathrooms were air conditioned, with fans, and it was a hot weekend, so that was refreshing.

Most complaints are about other inconsiderate campers. #110 had four big flood lights illuminating their site and pointed at us until 3:00AM. Would be helpful to have nighttime security foot patrols to enforce campground rules without making other campers do it.

My only complaint was with the booking process. When I booked our tent site, it stated there was only 1 site left available, so the option of picking my tent site was blank. However, no where else in the booking process was the tent site number listed. So it was a surprise to me at check in that my tent site was not down at the river , but up in rv areas. Been staying there for years, great place everything is awesome. I miss the awesome coffee station that used to be there. A family restroom would be awesome if you could build one. Other than that we will see ya in August. Lol, and I brought my neighbors up and you got 3 new families hooked of how awesome your place is!

Great campground with lots to do! Unfortunately, our neighbors were noisy both at night and in the early morning which made our stay less enjoyable.

Although the rain made the campsite extremely muddy, we made do. The manager could be a little more friendlier. We understand that it must be hard to have Memorial Day weekend rained out, however, he was not very accommodating and had a bit of an attitude.

I was force to purchase an extra spot even though the extra adults were sleeping in my tent. Thanks to the rain everything was muddy... i had to dig my shoes out. Couldn't keep a fire lit thanks to the run off water from up the hill. Water came in my tent from below even with a tarp. They claimed to be completely booked yet mentioned how many cancelled, would have been nice to move us.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your comments, however, adding a second family to your campsite was not possible when site occupancy is 1 family per site. Therefore, it was necessary for 2 sites. If there were other open sites, we do not have control over whether or not people show up for their reservations.

It rained our entire tent camping stay, but we made a point to thank Matt (the manager) and the other employees before we left. Everyone was extremely kind, helpful, and friendly. The campground (including the bathrooms) was remarkably clean. They continued activities even though it was pouring and worked hard to make sure folks enjoyed their stay. We highly recommend and will be staying again.

The main store was very well stocked and clean. Bathroom was in great shape. Nice hot water for the shower and the grounds are very well maintained.

We had a horrible experience with the location. It rain on Friday night and our site turned into a swamp. I was afraid my vehicle would get stuck. When we talked to the manger we were told they couldn’t move us. So we decided to leave. I have pictures if needed.

Thanks for your comments. When holiday weekends are sold out and we have heavy rains out of our control, we cannot simply move people around when we are not sure whether or not other campers will decide not to honor their reservations.

This was my second trip in a month! I am absolutely in love with this place. Is very close to where we live. Each site is very nice. Once we did glamping in safari tent. Another time we were on gravel site 136. Both were very private locations and were able to provided plenty of space.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. You have a top notch staff at this camp ground. In particular, Matt (not sure of his last name) was exceptionally helpful. We'll be back for sure!

We had a great stay! We stayed at one of the tent sites along the creek and had a great time. The view was great, the site was spacious, and the campground amenities were great. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful!

We stayed at tent site 123, along the river. We loved the view of the farm across the river from us. Our site and the campground were clean. We noted quiet hours were observed by everyone BUT the geese. They flew in around 5 am and by 6 am there wasn’t any point in trying to sleep anymore, they were so loud. We hope to be back before the end of the season.

We had a fantastic time! The playground was great to keep the kids busy. Mini golf is a relatively simple one but the kiddos still enjoyed it. The little store had the basics but also some fun toys and cute clothing. Staff was super friendly and helpful every step of the way. Renting a canoe was easy and cheap and came with life vests. We are already planning our next visit.

Wished the General store was open earlier than 9a. Thought the slips were assigned to groups too close together. There were many open tenting slips on the other side with no one in them, which made it cramped. Put directional arrows on the campsite number signs to point guest to the exact spot they need to setup. Two parties around us got confused by the numbering and setup in the wrong slip

We were greeted and checked in by friendly staffs. We stayed at the tent site along the Brandywine River. Our tent site was clean and spacious. The view of the farm across the rive where the horses were running around was a plus. They had playground for kids, clean bathroom and showers with hot water. Very satisfied. We will visit again!

Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Campground is clean and well kept. Although it was too late in the season to enjoy the beautiful pool or rent canoes/kayaks, we had a wonderful time walking on the nature trail and by the creek. The campground is 15 minutes from Longwood Gardens-(the reason for our stay.) The area is picturesque- stone farmhouses ,windy back roads and tons of history.

I got here after hours. Unfortunately, my campsite was missing its marker (Site 100). I had to drive in circles to find it. Bathroom closest to me was closed. Farther bathroom clean, gym style. Paper towels were moist, why? Campsite in open area near RV. Not really a great privacy site. I should have chosen one near creek. Overall, okay place to stay but I left an hour after getting there.

I really didn't expect as idyllic a stay as I did. I'm used to camping in state parks and wanted something closer to home for bringing along newer campers. The isolated sites on the ridge (e.g., 136) really had the feel I was going for. Your firewood was also very dry and easy to light.

We stayed here in October. The campground was well kept and peaceful. The sites were lovely with pretty views. We plan to return soon.

Excellent place to camp or bring your RV in the outskirts of Philly. About an hour from the city. Wooded area. Swimmimg pool, activities for kids, overall good place. The management was also excellet and accomodating.
